I can relate to long starts when it comes to my KMZ K-750 from '61 😅😅 When it hasn't run in a while, it's colder than usual or it rains it needs a few kicks before starting. Gotta love these bikes. Stubborn, so much fun, unbeatable and so easy to maintain
I have a Dnepr K750 from the 60's, when it starts snowing I'll always take her for a ride, starts within the first 2 kicks :) It's fun to ride a sidecar in the snow
I had my 2000 Ural Patrol 650 out in temperatures about freezing today. The engine started second kick with the enricheners out on the Keihin CV carbs, no throttle. One or two kicks is very typical for this bike even in colder weather than this. This model has electric start but I rarely use it because it starts so easily with the kicker, even after sitting for months. The bigger challenge than starting it was getting out to the road through 50 meters or so of 28 cm deep fresh snow. I had to switch in to 2-wheel drive, even with full knobby tires. Great fun driving around my town on snow=packed and icy roads.
Hello Denys, I have just discovered these videos (though I have been watching your war update videos faithfully). I'm sorry you are having to live through that and hope life will get back to normal soon. I have just purchased my 13th motorcycle, a 2019 Ural (sorry) and it is proving to be my favourite so far. Thanks for all you do, and Slava Ukraine!
Hey man! The original manual of the bike gives a starting procedure always filling the carburettor bowls and using choke. For the helmet look into products like Pinlock or Fogcity. These fit in your visor and make your visor fog free. Greetings from Belgium!
Yepp. That's the whole point why carburettors have chokes, after all. And I'm pretty sure Denys used them even in summer in an earlier video. Oh, wait, it's a learning video! First show how it does not work to give a better understanding on what's going on, then show how to fix that. Great!
The helmet needs some airflow that is being blocked by the height of your windshield. Like ski goggles, you stop you fog up, you keep moving, all good. Loved the sidecar :)
Great fun and very entertaining and such a reall experience, great stuff I did own an early MT9 with sidecar too on the left hand side for the UK I loved it too!
Enjoying your videos, I'm hoping to make it to Ukraine again this year to buy a MT12 and ride it back to the UK! Looking forward to more videos from you.
great to see your a biker too ,nice outfit and love the huge brakes up front . i used to have an old jawa 350 and sidecar ,it was so light and fun ,great for sliding round corners . Hoping for happier times in Ukraine my friend . Regards from uk
Great ride. You can buy a snowmobile helmet with heated visor. Or a face mask that defects your breath down and away from the visor. I'm in northern Ontario Canada, lots of snowmobiles here and fogging visors is always a problem.
In winter your visor will be misting up due to condensation from your breath - to keep the visor clear, smear neat dishwashing liquid over the inside of the visor, then wipe it off, leaving a thin film - I use kitchen Roll to apply & wipe.
Hello i love the video and have a question i am in the process of geting a licence for motorcycles and Dněpr K-750 is my dream bike so i am dead set on geting one as my first bike do you or anyone else have any must knows or any pointers that are good to know? Also where i live there is a passionate comunity that works with old bikes so geting someone to teach me how to do maintanence and eventually repairs shouldnt be a problem
Is there a way to "quickly" remove and install the sidecar on these bikes? Maybe with some kind of clever hardware which allows for quick fastening and removal??
Wow...i cant imagine that you will ride on your bike in winter....its nice for fun...but also danger....cant ride too fast...otherwise the break isnt properly working ?..where is your country...?...its very snowy........,i leaving in java...indonesia....you know bali...thats also in my country....,i ride my vmax everyday here....🙏
You did a great job building your bike. I have a 2019 Ural Gear Up, love that little Russian pack mule. Where did you get your luggage rack for the sidecar trunk? The racks on the Ural are thin and flimsy.
Добрий день Денис. Отличное видео, но у меня вопрос касательно подключения jbl extreme 2 к Вашему VTX 1800. Интересует каким образом решили вопрос с зарядкой.
Im wondering how your suppose to pronounce Dnepr. In the UK we say it like D- Nipper You guys seem to tread the D as silent and pronounce it as Nipper I presume your way is the correct way?
Under peacefull skyes you are warmly invited to join the gang at Calarasi summer sidecar rallye along with 100+ sidecars of Romanians, Moldavians, Bulgarians a.o. , the biggest in this part of Europe.
a Dnepr (not Ural) with disc brakes? How is this possible?😲 How i can get one in Czech Republic? (following you from the begging of the war, love to discover your bike and Dnepr videos) Free Ukraine!!
all carb bikes require choke!!! including my Honda Nighthawk 750 even in 70 degree morning.Once started YOU MUST LET IT RUN ON CHOKE FEW MINUTES not just immediately put choke back.Let the engine warm up
Very boring! I kick my matchless 350 max 2 times at minus 19c and it starts immidiateley. Run low rpm in cold temp. What is the perpose off this video?

It was well worth it.
It now has 79mm pistons, new carbs, and a new ignition and wiring. It's still a pain in the are to start but I love the thing.
I have a Dnepr K750 from the 60's, when it starts snowing I'll always take her for a ride, starts within the first 2 kicks :) It's fun to ride a sidecar in the snow
Love the crunchy snow sounds

When it takes awhile to start, the ride is so much more appreciated. 😉

Yes, it is now +2C

Kind of old world war 2 Ukrainian BMW) as far as I remember it's history. The condition is superb. You did it pretty well.
An all season motorcycle. Future electric motorcycles can only dream of this.
Always start with the choke! Here in Norway we learning that in driving schools…
Absolutely BRILLIANT video and loving the snow ride. We share your warmth in trying to start our bike sometimes :) Best wishes from England.
Great fun and very entertaining and such a reall experience, great stuff I did own an early MT9 with sidecar too on the left hand side for the UK I loved it too!
Your Daddy hasn't been teaching you that first thing before you start engine is a pulling up choke firstly...
Enjoying your videos, I'm hoping to make it to Ukraine again this year to buy a MT12 and ride it back to the UK! Looking forward to more videos from you.
Hey man, I have Dnepr for sale. I'm in Manchester...
Omg, so cold, SO GREAT! Love it!

Fabulous motorcycle adventure, Denys. Thx for making this vid! Sent it to my son in Texas who has a few bikes too.
I also have MT16 nice now in winter time here in the middle of Sweden :-)
Such a great looking machine.
😂 i can tell it is very cold from the sound of the squeaky snow and ice beneath your boots
Wonderful driver and motorcycle!
Thanks, Николай!
This man likes his army green. 😅
Just came across this video once again. I wonder what has become of it as you gave the DNEPR to the army so I remember.
Great ride. You can buy a snowmobile helmet with heated visor. Or a face mask that defects your breath down and away from the visor. I'm in northern Ontario Canada, lots of snowmobiles here and fogging visors is always a problem.
Oh... Thanks for your advice. I didn't know about that helmets...👍

Feels so good when you get a bike going in the cold. Takes so long sometimes.
For the visor I put washing up liquid on it. Just a thin layer and I don't get a foggy visor.
@@Andythenurse Great, I will try it.👍
I could tell it was cold right away by the sound of the snow as you were walking. You only get that sound when getting below -15c.
Nice Bike Buddy!!!!
cool, nice to see you here!!Slava Ukraine!!Very nice,we actually have these in Florida.Great Demo.

..fearlesss in the snow!
hello denys, can you explaine the difference between a dnepr and an ural please?
Is there a way to "quickly" remove and install the sidecar on these bikes?
Maybe with some kind of clever hardware which allows for quick fastening and removal??
Why no choke the first try?
Just tried it like in summer start) Thanks for your comment!

I just watch lots of your videos, super cool..
Bratan did you build this yourself? It looks amazing. How is it 2wd?, a common axle for the two rear wheels?
was the thing at Neutral during the kickstart attempt? If it was at neutral, once started, let out some more gas and it will be fine ☺️
I have one,the technique of starting it was learnt after i broke my foot trying😂
Where can I get one this nice?
You did a great job building your bike. I have a 2019 Ural Gear Up, love that little Russian pack mule. Where did you get your luggage rack for the sidecar trunk? The racks on the Ural are thin and flimsy.
It is custom built. Thanks for your support with your comment!
Hi, what model is this with a swinging arm front suspension?
Custom made
So you have to tickle the carbs and use the choke…just like every time you start her.
Nice bike and video Dennis 👍
Im riding a dnepr K650 sidecar. I realy like the (stainless) mufflers. Where did you get them please?
Regards. Marc.
I ordered from local guy in Ukraine

I think you did everything in reverse… Turn on the choke first, tickle the carbs and then kick. It would’ve started a lot sooner.
I like the Dnepr better... the sheet metal shapes appeal to me more...

a real dnepr starts with -30 no problem 3 kicks , ur dnepr is not adjusted correctly .
Very boring! I kick my matchless 350 max 2 times at minus 19c and it starts immidiateley. Run low rpm in cold temp.
What is the perpose off this video?
