That big truck is a sprinkler truck, which can prevent dust, moisturize the air, and also have a cooling effect. It can be seen in many cities in china.
The water they are spraying into the air is NOT safe to drink so what makes you think it's safe to inhale? The ignorance of people to believe that water being sprayed into the air is safe is shocking. That water is untreated and can make you ill but of course no one ever gets sick there.
It appears to me about 2 decades ago when I was in Beijing, I faintly remember a metro ticket was also just 2Y, prob lesser can't remember much, I think it was a flat fare then regardless of distance. FF to today, the ticket price hasn't changed much, min is still about 2-3Yuan. Where as in Singapore, MRT (metro) and bus fares have been increasing every year!!! This makes me livid. So in terms of PPP, China is still more liveable than US or in my case, Singapore, even in the 1st tier cities! So outsiders can say much about the authoritarian ways of the Govt, at least they made an effort for basic necessities to remain very affordable for the average citizen there. That was how I felt when I was in China again not too long ago.
Bro I couldn't agree more. Here in Auckland it's $2.60 to travel the minimum distance on the bus service. If I want to travel more than a few stops it's going to increase the further I go. That bus in Daye was ¥2 from the first to last stop - which is the same price as when I lived in China back in 2007!
@TwoCentsOnTour I live in Auckland too and public transport is awful and often dysfunctional. There seems to be no real desire for change from the powers that be either.

Should the management of China's billion-billion-dollar population be decided by voting? China's system is more suitable for China than for the so-called democratic countries, and better for the people. Don't always associate dictatorship with China, isn't the United States, controlled by the financial oligarchy, dictatorial?
If you're into historic mines, I've been to Fushun, Liaoning province. There you'll find the largest open pit mine in Asia, possibly largest in the world. It's gigantic. People in Fushun told me, the mine, and others in the area, was the main reason why the Japanese invaded northeast China in 1931: they wanted its coal and minerals for themselves. What looks to me to be an enormous scar on the Earth is to the local people a source of pride (and income for many generations).
Yeah man the Japanese grab for Manchuria was definitely partly driven by the resources there. I hadn't heard of that bit pit though, I'll have to check it out if I ever head up that way! Thanks for the tip!

That was very interesting. The bullet train was pretty impressive. The people seem very friendly everywhere you go. Why do they want your ID when you are buying a train ticket and then again when you are boarding the train ? Was Orwell Chinese... The one thing that I don't really like is the number of high-rise buildings and there is a lot of concrete. Shame that Bronze mine was closed, you should have checked out the Brass mine next door, sorry, couldn't resist... Thanks for sharing. The locals all seem to love you ! it was cute to see you interacting with the kid on the train. Looking forward to the next installation.
I think the tickets are electronically linked to the ID cards, so instead of scanning tickets it's easier just to scan the ID. I've heard some other countries passports like US/UK can be scanned to board trains too in China, but I guess the NZ one hasn't been added to the system yet (they tried scanning it every time which implies some of them work!) But yeah the copper mine (silly me) was a bummer ... On the flip side yeah the locals were very nice 😁

Cheers Mark yeah it was unusual to get a bunch of negatives but you're right it was largely positive! Not sure why this one did so well compared to most of my vids here other than maybe negativity sells
This is really disappointing. I’ve travelled quite a bit, have seen a lot of stuff, but I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen a 3000yo mine yet. I’d kinda like to see that. Especially since they have preserved historical tools, implements, etc. I couldn’t care less about the surroundings not being top notch. A mine’s a hole in the ground. What’s around it hardly matters, does it? After seeing many videos, I’m starting to get the vibe, that there’s a lot of closed down time on museums and historical sites in China. Which is a massive bummer, if you’re a tourist. A tourist site doesn’t have to be perfect, but if it’s closed, it’s as if it didn’t exist. Worse than that, actually. Because it teases a promise and then doesn’t deliver.
@@JTM1809 yeah man I'm not sure why I've had such rotten luck with places being renovated/upgraded etc Happily I went back to this place this year and managed to have a look - I got it on film - but it's in the backlog of vids to come out. It was indeed pretty cool 😎

Haha yeah bro I mucked that line up, copper mine rather than bronze 🤣 Most of my other trips went smoother but to be fair I seem to have a knack for going to places which are closed
Bronze! You make Bronze !! (With the aid of a smelter) Bronze is an alloy consisting primarily of copper, commonly with about 12-12.5% tin and often with the addition of other metals (including aluminium, manganese, nickel, or zinc) and sometimes non-metals, such as phosphorus, or metalloids such as arsenic or silicon. Learn something new every day.

How come you threw the plastic bottle in the green bin? Was there no recycle bin? ♻️. You guys are way too hard on China. We all have to share this planet, and it's just a real shame that the USA and its allies don't want China in the world. Even if China doesn't surpass the USA, remember that India will.
What a clickbait title. The video is way more positive as it is. China's HSR are shit: poor maintenance, overcrowding and very unsafe. You are not showing that.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate your feedback. The intention behind the title was to highlight the challenges and unexpected obstacles I faced during this particular trip, such as the closure of the destination and the unusually hot weather. While I did encounter difficulties, the experience doesn't focus on the Chinese transportation systems. I aim to provide an honest portrayal of my travels, both the positive and challenging aspects. Safe travels!
I went out almost every day for a month there, this was the worst trip 🤷♂️ It's weird that this one is getting more interest than normal, I guess people just love misery 😅
The locals were complaining about the temperature too mate 😅 If you take a few minutes to check out my content and the comments - especially from westerners who've never been to China - I think you'll find a lot of positivity. The fact that this video - which is about my worst trip - is the one that you, and many other people are choosing too watch is perhaps an insight into human nature, I'm not sure
Mark is nothing of the sort. This whole series about Wuhan has been really positive and really interesting with lots of people learning just how lovely China is and how friendly people are. You should actually watch these videos.
@@april-tui3524 cheers April-Tui yeah I have been really perplexed as to why this video has grabbed so much more attention than normal. I can only assume people are naturally drawn to negativity, the same way Twitter etc thrive on it. The intention wasn't to make a negative video, it was genuinely just a pretty crap day where I spent a fair bit of time and money for not much return. That's the story of the video, hence the title 😅
@@TwoCentsOnTour it’s sad people don’t watch first and leave anything negative on such a positive channel! I have really loved this whole series and have learnt a lot. @@april-tui3524 Yeah I hope so aye! Thankfully the stats in the back end (watch time, likes vs dislikes, new subs etc) are all overwhelming positive. So yeah I think a few people looking for something to be offended by are upset, but mostly it's positive
Socialist core values are similar to Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan. It is also similar to white New Zealanders pretending to respect Maori. Hana-Rawhiti Kareariki Maipi-Clarke's haka in parliament was like a clown in the eyes of the white man. Everyone in the world is fooled by politicians.

I've heard some other countries passports like US/UK can be scanned to board trains too in China, but I guess the NZ one hasn't been added to the system yet (they tried scanning it every time which implies some of them work!)
But yeah the copper mine (silly me) was a bummer ... On the flip side yeah the locals were very nice 😁
Im surprised to see a foreigner exploring China's less-known places😂Some interesting places are known by Chinese but less known by foreign people.Hope you can search for those places and enjoy a trip there.Aslo, maybe you can explore the western places in China next time because the views are more beautiful and natural there.Anyway, good luck. You are really good at adventure😂
Yes mate! A lot of people go to Shanghai or Beijing, but I wanted to see some smaller places. I have never been to the west of China, one day I would love to go 😁
@@TwoCentsOnTouryeah Im from Shanghai We have tall buildings and taller buildings but only a little natural view😅so I envy you growing up in a place like New Zealand with great natural scenery😂.Also If you'd like to try in the future, you can have an attempt at Yunnan(云南)first. The views and special cuisine there will not disappoint you and the tourism service is comparatively developed~
@@kiki-t1z ah wow that's awesome mate, I've been to Shanghai but only for a couple of days. I just did the usual tourist thing of shopping, 东方明珠 etc 😅

(US1.00 = ¥7.12)
¥76 = US $10.67
Ah yes bro you're right thanks! I must have converted to NZ dollars for that one by mistake!
Finally got a bit of time to catch up on this one. I was worried when I saw you mention that you got a lot of negative comments and then heartened to see that they are overwhelmingly positive. From the response of some of the Chinese commenters you might think that you ruled out a match-winning try for them and sent off their star player all in one go.
Now I just need to go check out the latest video, Hope you're keeping well, we'll have to catch up sometime if you have the time.
@@JTM1809 yeah man I'm not sure why I've had such rotten luck with places being renovated/upgraded etc
Happily I went back to this place this year and managed to have a look - I got it on film - but it's in the backlog of vids to come out. It was indeed pretty cool 😎

why don't register your passport in the counter ? next time you can buy your ticket online and scan your passport like chinese do
Yeah mate next time I will try it. I think they only allowed that from November last year? I filmed this in April so I don't think it was available at the time
I know the feeling and the barriers as done many times ...with less mandarin than you it is challenging especially finding the right que to buy a ticket
Yeah man I remember that feeling from when I first arrived in China in 2005 believe it or not... my Mandarin was rubbish, no smart phones.... I needed my hand held to get even basic stuff done
"will study the core values of socialism just to make sure my head is in the right place" , hahahaha.. you are so funny! Great job!
Well, mate what can I say, I'm not really a big fan of slogans 😅 I admit in NZ when it's election time, there are signs EVERYWHERE with party slogans like "In it for you" and "Get our country back on track" which I also need to... study 😅😅😅

Bronze is not mined brother-! it is a mix off copper and tin-!! to "make" bronze 🤣 but great video... must watch more 👍Awesome to buy one cold beer at the corner shop aye bro. Aroha mai Aotearoa ♥
Haha yeah bro I mucked that line up, copper mine rather than bronze 🤣 Most of my other trips went smoother but to be fair I seem to have a knack for going to places which are closed
Why it's hot there? It's winter now.
This was last year mate 😅
Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. You don’t mine bronze.
Yeah copper mine not bronze mine 😅
Learn something new every day.

not bad at all Australian guy haha. next time dude go back there again and show us the bronze mine heritage site thanks. not a bad trip. but i dont like new condo building yuck ... they everywhere now adays. ugh. how long you studying Mandarin in China? i'm Asian guy half Chinese and half native Iban from Borneo island, Malaysia and lives in UK now. good video btw thanks.
Haha cheers man yeah as far as a "worst" day goes it wasn't that bad ... Just a lot of travel time with no result.... In bloody hot weather.... I studied Mandarin for a few years at uni and the lived in China for about 7 years. I left China in 2014 so a bit rusty but enough to get by 😅
After watching the entire film, one can then understand the function of its title..
Thank you mate. To be honest, even if this was my worst trip, it wasn't TOO bad... nothing tragic happened... just a long trip for no real result. I still liked the place and the people, hopefully one day I can go back after the work is finished
@@TwoCentsOnTour No one intends to blame you. Your title makes us feel free-spirited

Nah man I buggered up the conversion sorry, the second one I mistakenly put NZ dollars 😅
If you say the words "Worst" and "China", all of a sudden TH-cam recommends the hell out of the video.

Terrible !
They fed me with snakes and bugs and bats. Never have I gained so much weight during a vacation trip.

How come you threw the plastic bottle in the green bin? Was there no recycle bin? ♻️. You guys are way too hard on China. We all have to share this planet, and it's just a real shame that the USA and its allies don't want China in the world. Even if China doesn't surpass the USA, remember that India will.
In China people sort through the rubbish and pull out anything they can recycle - they can actually make a living that way.

Bad blogger in china
Indeed 😁
Very stupid clickbait title 🤢🤮💩
I went out almost every day for a month there, this was the worst trip 🤷♂️ It's weird that this one is getting more interest than normal, I guess people just love misery 😅
This blogger is foul mouthed and very negative. This is how westerners get negative opinions. Comp, aining abiut temperature constantly. Deal with it !
The locals were complaining about the temperature too mate 😅
If you take a few minutes to check out my content and the comments - especially from westerners who've never been to China - I think you'll find a lot of positivity.
I hope that the increase in views results in some new followers who do actually watch though. It really showcases Wuhan and the incredibly lovely people there.
Yeah I'm personally not into slogans aye, anytime it's election season here in NZ the slogans each party comes up with to advertise with.... well... I find them pretty comical 😅 If others like them that's just personal taste I guess 😅😅
@@TwoCentsOnTour Well, stay damn politically correct. Sometimes slogans are necessary to reach a social consensus, its one of the reasons china keep growing. Otherwise, china are the next India, chaotic, dirty and even monkeys will reach for your money ....
Hope NZ can reach a higher level of slogan in the next few years. Our last election was "Let's do this" vs "In it for you" 😅
