This is the type of content we would like to see on Forces TV, more please.
Just reading the book '3 Commando Brigade' by Ewen Southby-Tailyour and came for a look at the Viking. Highly recommended reading if you're interested in the Afghan theatre or Royal Marines in general. Proper warriors, respect.
More marines videos please

They’re Royal Marines, so they’re in the Royal Navy :D

Are Vikings not a bit out dated ito crew protection and mission flexibility?
As a Swede, I take _GREAT_ offense, sir! Pistols at dawn!
the british vikings recently went through an upgrade package, and as far as mission flexibility goes i doubt hägglunds would not take full oppotunity to do the same system as they have with the BV206 with regards to trailer options, where, so long as it fits within the weight, size and weight distribution limits you can mount pretty much anything to it, whether its an ambulance, fire engine, mortar carrier, mortar supply carrier, fuel/water carrier, cargo carrier, personel carrier, recovery vehicle, command vehicle.. its stupid what you can do with it.. i would be surprised if we finns havnt mounted a ZU-23-2 on the back of ether a nasu or a BV already x3
and if you think the design is outdated, you want a unit that is specialised for both amphibious and artic warfare? this is ultimately the best you can get.. you can not turn this into a full MRAP unless you want to lose its amphibious capability and diminish its artic ability aswell..
and as a finn, as much as i LOVE to bully, insult and downright degrade swedes over the many many wonders of stupid ideas they come up with, this isnt one of them.. the BV is one of those very rare things they actualy did well x3
@@rosiekatze and what have finland come up with really? swedes have come up with alot of succesful advanced military technology being used worldwide.. ''very rare things they did well'' you must mean finns then right?
Great documentary but with all due respects...they really should consider switching to RWS turrets.. Let technological innovation protect those service members.
Watch the thing swim, and you'll see a hatch is necessary to escape.
Bad asses

Why do they add royal after everything in England which applies to the armed forces as well. What is so royal about all this activity. They are the same like any other professional army in the world.
sahisis Someone was refused a visa to come to the UK 😆
It is royal because it serves the monarch. You need permission from the queen to lead her troops into battle which is what a 'commission' is (officer status)
Tom Murphy Hey Murphy I don't need to come to your country. I am proud of my country and very happy. You make me feel UK is going through some identity crisis. Please do visit India. There are many countries worldwide which are better than UK. Think again
35627819028353729-4984653 I am sorry to point this out but the queen may have some respect in your country but it was the British Army which massacred innocent children, women and men in Jallianwalabagh Incident. I don't think the queen deserves the title royal that your country feels proud about
sahisis at least british doesn't poop in the street
