  • Biscocho is our version of the Italian biscotti. Biscotti means twice baked just like biscocho. Traditionally, biscocho was made from left over bread which were sliced. Margarine was brushed on the bread slices and then dipped in sugar and baked again until toasted. This is also a good way to recycle and preserve the left over bread. Now, biscocho is rarely made from left over bread. Breads is now made to make the biscocho. Biscocho is a nice snack to have. It goes well with coffee too. I hope you will enjoy my version of the biscocho.

    Thanks for Sharing Chef. By the way, what is the purpose of "air dry"? does it necessary? What if I skip the air dry and toast the bread lightly and apply toppings then bake? Will it affect the quality compared to the air dry method? Daghang Salamat.

      When you air dry the bread, you don't need to bake it for so long, so you save on gas. If the bread is not dry, the toppings could burn before the bread is toasted.

      Which bowl ma'am. I used different bowls in the video. I used a stainless, glass and a polycarbonate bowl.
