- I got the chance last time I was down in the Hill Country to meet up with Logan Ryan at Chances R in San Marcos, to film this session video for his latest single "Cigarettes And Alcohol". Logan told me he wrote this song after a long-term relationship, essentially about trading vices. We hope you enjoy it!
Logan Ryan hails out of Gonzales, Texas, and is the frontman of his band, Logan Ryan Band. Embracing the Red Dirt scene in Texas Country Music Logan has been writing songs and playing the guitar since he was around 11 years old. His main goal through it all is to stay true to his roots and make songs that people can relate to.

It’s a rare talent to write and compose a song this authentic.
I appreciate how he sings in his natural accent. Makes the song sound super raw and original. Not commercially manufactured. The fun part of learning a new song is figuring out the words. Texas county music is KING.
