Hard to think of anyone's low brass being better than the Chicago Symphony, but I think these players will be together longer, and will accomplish just as much. Plus Boston happens to be where I live, so I get to hear these magnificent players often, then go home and stare at my trombone with an extreme sense of inadequacy.
Chicago's brass has been garbage for years, just the Americans seem to look at them with rose-tinted glasses. Literally every country has dozens of more competent brass sections.

The CSO guys are all old now, so they don’t have much time. Sadly. The Boston guys probably have another 20 years in them easily at least.
