Thank you for posting this. My 15 year old son spent the entire evening watching and practicing his tuba with you.
We need more of this in the tuba world
This is fantastic! Thanks Mike and BSO for doing this.
John, thanks for the kind words.
Perfection! Really nice chops! The fact that you still have a lively sound in such a dead room is amazing!
Thank you for posting this! Great info made even more interesting through your playing/demonstrating.
Whoa. Thank you Mike. So much to think about and to work on. My teacher recommended that I watch this. What a great resource.
Mike!!! Miss you man!
Sounding great, as usual by the way!
I love this! Thanks!
Such great practice ideas, and techniques, whatever your instrument. I’ve got to check out that app!
Thanks, Mike!! Be well!
It's GREAT to have a tuba lesson/demo played on a 6/4 CC tuba, instead of an F tuba for a change! And playing a note-worthy contrabass excerpt, instead of something in the treble clef on an F tuba!
My dad (also a tuba player) says it is always good to play in a bad sounding, small room like that. He says that if you can sound good in a bad room, you can sound amazing in a good room. There's a reason practice rooms sound bad.
Fantastic work Mike!
Tom Rolfs next?!
