Or hell, give him his Sword from the game where he was a Knight. Give him a second unlockable variant as Super Sonic with an entirely new movelist. Missed opportunity.

The fact that every character had the same intro got super repetitive. You don't need to spend 3 seconds on each loading screen to show who you're showcasing next. It got very grating after the 3rd time.
2:00 moments like this go criminally under appreciated by so many smash players. Just the little easter eggs and loving interactions that don’t need to be there, but are.
I wouldn't even redesign Sonic if I could tbh. I think rookies who spam his specials paint him in a bad light. If I had to redesign any character, though, it would be Little Mac. As a Mac main, he's comically bad.
