The fuck was that?! How am I just finding this and it's 2 years old?! Incredible.
I'm in the same boat. So glad I stumbled onto this
@@andrewsutton2266 I just watched this and the rest of the Absolutely (Film) and I'm bawling my eyes out first time watching it, for the first time in years.
Dijon and Mk.Gee is a deadly combo
fuck i knew i recognized him!
DAMN I HAD A FEELING I KNEW WHO THAT WAS THANK YOU
Разрывные ребята)
wow holy shit i thought it was parker cory from injury reserve for a hot second, knew it was a familiar face, but this just makes it even sweeter
@@sheshewantit45 now i need that collab too
It's like a D'Angelo song crashed into a marching band playing inside of a Radio Shack.
I fuck with it.
Perfect description
untitled (how does it feel) - d’angelo
fuck yeah
Apt
Definitely r and b and neo sould and other black modes of music...mixed with prince and MJ (Bad) guitar stylings....sounds like church...black church
Can we just take a second to appreciate how angelic Mk.gee's vocals sound backing Dijon's?
YES!!! I thought the exact same thing!!
Indeed! ♥️
MK.gee kills it in every way let’s be honest.
Yes, my goodness! 😢
Wait a minute! I thought this was a band member already? Please tell me the LEAD SINGER and that COOL, COOL guitarist are same band. If not, I'm DEAD. So kill me😉
it’s so chaotic and beautifully harmonic at the same time, it’s so gorgeous hearing all of this
reminds me of neutral milk hotel, it's sooo good
you can tell hes a darkthrone fan, the chaotic atmosphere reminds me of some old black metal for sure.
It's so perfect mfn inspiring
All these different intruments are just flying in all sorts of different directions, but they end up coming together _just_ enough to make this big sound that just takes up everything.
@@Jordloopin thats exactly it, an organic turbulence
This is already one of those songs I wish I could hear for the first time again
Hearing it for the first time today and I'm in love
I heard it for the first time seeing him perform live and i was in a trance
so pure
I am there right now. ❤
...and it's good. ❤
The rawness of this is amazing. Modern day masterpiece
FACT
Lo-Fi indie rock instrumentation + R&B vocals=Is this the future of music?
If so, I am here for it.
if this is what lo fi indie rock sounded like all the time i would actually listen to it
@@giddycadetfr, this is good asl but that definitely ain’t indie rock 💀
@@eva0180 this is pure and raw SOUL music
MkGee and Dijon as a duo are untouchable
hauntingly beautiful

Holy shit I love your music
Just wanna let you know that Still Feel is one of the greatest songs of all time. It's helped me to make it through some rough times. Much Love
Salutations
holy mamas did not expect u guys here
Said to my pals a while ago, listening to you feels like discovering a new Frank Ocean. Think you’re carving out a role all for yourself man and I’m totally here for it. Keep doing your thing.
I was thinking the same thing watching this unfold. What a wonderful experience!
Now go listen to Choker, you'll have the same experience, your welcome
@@Coal-RubL you have impeccable taste in music, what are your playlist names on apple?
@@Coal-RubL i love choker 😩😩
YESSS
the best part of this is you can tell Dijon really likes his own song. That's infectious
1) Dijon the conductor!
2) house looks beautiful
3) I’m here for this future country genre Dijon has been slowly engineering
4) he’s bringing the tiny desk to us 🎶
"future country"
_fuck_ that's bang on, i love it
the house is a set
@@christophertolosa7142 they all fooled us
RNB Americana is how I describe his style.
This is Creedance Clearwater Revival Revival
I can barely fathom the words. Every moment felt like a new-found discovery for the word "gorgeous".
It's so beautifuly natural ❤
I actually think those words said it perfectly. Thank you.
Music in its purest form
lowkey highkey preferred this version over the album version.. i like how it builds up organically and is not as condensed and u can really hear his gasps and breaths more leading it to feel more genuine/aunthentic and full of energy which i feel like would have fit better with the project.. the album version still slaps and is amazing in its own regard!!! Hopefully this version gets puts on spotify
What is the album I just got on to this new planet called Dijon
@@shandrellsterling5124 absolutely by Dijon, I believe
@@shandrellsterling5124 its called Absolutely. I recommend checking out his other stuff he's released as well cuz those r also fire
I agree this version is better
Same
how did they even record this? when people say music is art this is the purest essence of it
this is straight up one of the best live performances/recordings i have ever seen in my life. can't stop watching
totally with you there ❤️
check out masego and FJK’s studio performance if you haven’t already, guarantee you’ll add it to your list of best performances 🤩
This is giving me heavy D’Angelo vibes. I hope you guys collaborate with him. This is incredible music happening here.
So true, and with its own kind of grit and sensuality added to it
Would love to see Dijon & Mk.Gee together collab with Reggie (Southside Fade, I Don’t Wan to Feel No More, etc). Would be an amazing, exalting vibe
I was thinking of Prince but he heavily influenced D‘Angelo. Then again who cares, it‘s amazing. Happy we have musicians like this
Perfectly called back to How Does It Feel but then made it blues and a different emotion entirely.
@@ryanschuman3952 yes exactly
That's a grammy winner right there
fingers crossed 🤞
if grammys would be what it should be
hes literally acting like a composer just with his entire body instead of just his arms. hes going to each dude and showing the rhythm through his body. absolutely stunning.
Uhm sorry but this is like the hottest thing I've ever seen? Sir, respectively. Idk it just makes me so happy to see you doing stuff you CLEARLY enjoy so much and with a team that is just having fun jamming around in a room, creating masterpieces? Excuse you but why am I crying, I'm so happy for u and can't wait for this album
right! the vibes are absolutely impeccable, it makes me happy seeing them enjoy themselves so much
I felt this whole post !!! 😍😍
Heeeeej veronika 😳
@@jakajakec9550 Heeej hahaha
Big on the why am I crying so hard rn
Man what you guys are doing is really special. I would even say "historically significant" in the story of music.
THIS - it’s so chaotic and special at every moment
totally with you there!
100 percent. Fucking monumental
Absolutely. This feels different. Like it’s a special moment.
uhm can we just take some time to appreciate the director of photography? it's a one shot take perfectly made
this is incredible holy nuts
This album will be an all time classic
All I got from this is that I'm going to need a bottle of liquor for the emotional roller-coaster that this album will have me in. Thank you in advance Dijon
There’s some serious magic going on in that room. Not only a musical masterpiece but a cinematic one as well.
The chemistry is off the wall
I’m drowning in it
Mk.Gee and Dijon been hitting the weights bros are JACKED😳
absolutely captivating. 7 minutes flew by in what felt like 60 seconds
The shortest 7mins I’ve ever experienced, I could’ve kept watching this vibe for hours tbh
@@mon_nobi tbh i did for like 30 minutes at least
Just had the most intense happiness i've ever felt whilst listening to music.
This song is a beautiful experience.
i'll be one to mention how dijon's chemistry with his guitarist is so amazing. it's like his guitarist reads his mouth and his expressions and put those onto that guitar. amazing album
Makes sense that this song is named after the guitarist who also has his own amazing solo project Mk.gee
seeing someone's creative process is beyond beautiful thank u
Captivating. You have a really non-conventional approach to harmonizing with your voice, I love this jamming instead of the Studio trimming.
Jimi.... Prince..... Otis... im sure they are all smiling down at this. I'm sure D'Angelo will smile too. Pure 🔥
I LOVE that Mk.gee has been playing and singing backup for dijon, BUT I cannot wait for another solo project from him. Big kudos to Dijon though for bringing him onto his team. Mk.gee brings such a heavy dose of greatness to this album.
I can't understand why this hasn't gotten millions of views yet. It's already been out for 2 months !?!
Who else feels like this live version hits hardest?
this feels like church
Just saw Dijon open up for Bon Iver last night in Miami. Un-fucking-believable.
best performance i’ve seen, probably ever
Yes! Amazing performance
im gonna be thinking about that guitar tone for the rest of my life
I just listened to the album and I really liked it, but I can't help but be a little sad that this song didn't sound the same as it did in this video. I totally respect the artist's vision and all that and if Big Mike's on the album more accurately reflects your feelings than Big Mike's from this video, then that's how it should be. But would you consider releasing this version of the song onto spotify? I'm just so sad I can't add this song to my playlist because it has quickly become my most-watched TH-cam video and one of my favorite songs ever.
yeah agreed. This needs a release, it's just... yeah it's just too good
stfu n enjoy the music
@@plasticlifee damn bro he just trying to listen to it from the comfort of his streaming app!!
sadly you can TH-cam to mp drop in you iTunes library and it will sync with you phone and you can take it with you
youtube to mp3 and drop it into your phone. I guess this album live would be a really cool addition too
This is the freshest thing I've listened to in a long time.
Soulful music in the atmosphere while rocking that Darkthrone t-shirt. My god 😩🙌🏽✨
while guitarist wearing My Neighbour Totoro shirt😌
@@vasyakolotusha4323 All about that geek life 👐🏽
Can't wait for this album, you look like you've had so much fun with it
what a group of beautiful people
I don't know if they should get an Oscar or a Grammy for that. Most authentic thing I've seen for quite a while.
They will be talking about this in 25 years
real
THIS is called setting the standard for how artists should be presenting their art today. Incredible.
This my uncle! Hell ya keep up the good work duenas pride !
This is like of D’Angelo made A Day In The Life… this is breathtakingly chaotic and beautiful at the same time
so does the table come on tour?
Yes. Smaller version.
Americana RnB is the aesthetic I have been getting from Dijon recently, its so refreshing, interesting and authentic.
At first I wasn't sure where you were going, then I found myself hooked. I got the chills mate. The randomness of structure is beyond comparison. Such a contagious vibe, give me mooooore. - Cheers
This is the the session that shows kids today how fun and creative it can be to make music in the same room with other people and not just behind a screen solo.
most underrated project this year, truly amazing
Mixing this had to be wild. Love this so much, keep coming back.
dijon has been stuck in the many times room and hasn't been able to get out ever since
bro just said "the many times room" LMAO
I must say that the the arrangement and energy of this is purely remarkable.
The energy and vibration this song projects into my heart can only be described as God running his fingers through my hair
The algorithm put this in my feed. Something said “click on it” - had no idea my musical heart and soul would be resurrected🤯 What an incredible introduction to this artist #CHILLS ❤️🔥🙌🏽
I knew from the moment I heard this, this was going to be something special. The way Mike Gee and Dijon just click is seamless (the eye contact, the body language, the harmonies, EVERYTHING) Everything about this song is beautiful. I feel like this is the start of your rise to something great. Mark my words.
This being my introduction to Mk.gee 2yrs ago not knowing he’s a musical genius in his own right is so cool😭
I hope he releases a physical version of the album. Definitely want this on vinyl!
I’m probably gonna comment on this several times in my lifetime but at this very moment I’m inspired to create! Like a baby is inspired to walk, crawl and eventually run! Embrace that goodness you feel inside and share that love!
I love the Prince vibes on this version, it's so raw! Freakin beautiful. I know people hear D'Angelo, and I agree but the main riff is definitely Purple. Also, I know people think the album version should be like this but true artists offer something different and special when you see them live. The songs take on a life of their own and evolve. 🎶😎✨
Yes. EARLY Prince...like 1978 and he was still playing in funky clubs in Minneapolis, but gaining a following.
ABSOLUTELY Prince Vibes
the amount of pure gold in these comments - so many people are discovering you with this video. every comment feels deeply heartfelt. i hope you know you're moving mountains.
his music always feels chaotic never in a bad way but in a and raw comforting way that brings so much warmth and reassurance. the build up and "swell" in his music always digs into my soul and his voice on top of it really brings it all together
this might be the coolest thing i’ve ever seen
Masterful in how it captures the sensations of love, the erratic feelings of raw trust, the rhythmic swings of emotion in the swings of real, caring relationship.
The well of emotion seems endless.
This is beautifully orchestrated, also the combo of a Darkthrone and My Neighbour Totoro shirt in one video is two of my favourite things together in a way in which I never thought I'd see
I love how the sound design enhances the song instead of it being a distraction. Dijon is such a bright light
i could not stop smiling while watching this...never been more excited for an album drop ahhh
I feel this song in my bones, in my core. I cannot express words for as to how excited I am for you and for this album:’)))
album of the year.
It's incredible the way he feels the music
Wow. I want to cry that I've experienced this.
this is amazing. been following since the abhi//dijon days. so exciting seeing where you've taken it
I wonder how similar this version will be to the one we hear on the album. I hope it's the same length. either way this is amazing, I'll be happy with any version/rendition we get on the album. easily one of my favorite songs by him. album can't come soon enough!
as someone who’s seen him perform live, the live version just hits different.
Based off the song “rodeo clown” he just released, it’ll probably be this version. Raw, emotional & uncut. I hope so.
It's hard to stop the vibe once it starts 😭🤘
That slide guitar running through the Hologram pedal though holy shit.
You guys are breaking all the rules of music and it's perfect.
The passion in this room is infectious
Over here watching this for the 3rd day in a row. It’s my musical sustenance at this point.
i am sobbing tears of joy in my room at 7:59 am, the raw unaltered musical expression in this video is so beautiful i can only cry to accurately express the joy it sparks in me. thank you
Years from now we will come back and realize how legendary this performance was 🙏🏽
Shit quickly became my favorite song.
Fits legit any vibe
I need these live versions on Spotify so bad
Every damn day.
Man I heard this on Jimmy Fallon last night , and didnt catch it all , but then i pull up video , and damn , got hooked , ive watch all your video , man very different, creative , and im old school guitarist and loved the confusion !!!!
I’m IMMEDIATELY here from Michael Palmisano’s reaction video to this. This is amazing and I termed it as “D’Angelo Fusion”. I’m very much intrigued !!!!! You just got a new sub !!!! ✌️
I FOUND IT!!!!!! I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS and now I got it!!!
Mk.gee if you ever see this, I’d love to know if that’s a Jaguar you’ve converted to a baritone or if it’s just tuned way down. Either way it sounds fantastic
It’s a jaguar converted with pedals there’s a video of him showing how through some gear video on youtube
@@nombreproduction9469 I’m pretty sure the pedals he uses don’t contribute to its baritone range tuning. They are mainly used for distortion, reverb, and other things (from what’s shown in the video). he says the guitar itself is modified somehow. still don’t know how tho :(
in a video where he showed his gear off, he said the guitar was modified to become more baritone like
Even more fascinating and mysterious, all 6 strings shimmer as they catch light as if they are flatwounds. But where can you find flatwound strings for baritone? Nowhere. Which means he really had to combine bass and guitar strings and get the gauges right.
I got tickets for 40 dollars on the presale like 5 months ago and I cant wait to see him live. They are going for like 200 dollars now on resale lol
he’s gonna be amazing live
Notice how no dislikes, that’s the beauty of this album. There’s not one bad song ❤️
Wow I can't believe what I'm hearing, sounds so fresh. Love it
This is the best song and performance ever
WHEN THIS ALBUM DROPS IMA CRY I SWEAR TO GOD!!
Uhh- this is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard.
I'm just so glad that the music is positive. With no curse words or overly explicate subjects. It's breathe taking and a rarity these days. I would listen to this before Prince and the Revolution. That's what got me into guitar lol
