Thank you David, I wonder why it doesn't surprise me that you already know it so well? ;-) As always, glad to hear from you my friend. Best regards, TGV
You might consider your channel a niche channel, but it's a great niche channel. What I especially like about your channel is exactly what you mention in your video: your not a "watch snob" which is a great thing. I love the fact you spend as much time on the affordable watches as you do on the high end ones. Just carry on!
I've been following your channel from early on and have had to take a bit of a hiatus over the last year or so due to work. Checked back in and reacquainted myself by watching this vid first and I have to say that, even though you have now clearly moved forward massively with the channel (from watch straps vids to Switzerland trips) the one thing that never changes with your channel is your attitude to life. You have got to be one of the most enthusiastic and genuinely happy people. It's quite addictive and always gives me a pick me up when I watch your vids. Great watch channel but a lot more than that, keep up the good work.
Welcome home TGV. Your genuinely heartfelt excitement and enthusiasm is intoxicatingly contagious! I very much look forward to hearing of your adventures in beautiful Switzerland. Best regards, Mark
So glad that you’re back, Governor. And very glad that you had such a fruitful trip. It’s one thing to go away to relax, but another to relax and learn about your passion at the same time. You’re living the dream, TGV, and I am happy for you sir.
Great to have you back online TGV. I love your energy and enthusiasm. It’s infectious. That the trip has further inspired you is only a good thing and as you know, our everyday work assists us in reaching our personal goals in life by funding them. Looking forward to your new=ext instalment. Onward and upwards as always! Btw, hope your best mate Ernest was ok while you were away.
Astonishing video TGV, congratulations on your trip, one of many more to come! I must say that i started watching your videos because of your rich horology content, but now what keeps my eyes and ears atenttion are your humbleness and respect not only to horology, but to everyone you adress. Peace and love, Best Regards From Brazil
I thought this was a particularly good video because I’m thinking about going to Switzerland to visit some of the well-known watch manufacturers. Now I have a better idea of what to expect. I also appreciate TGV’s infectious enthusiasm for horology. It’s fun to watch someone who really loves their hobby and wants to share it with others. The video quality is quite good - much better than some of the others in this genre. His intros are second to none.
Wow Switzerland looks absolutely amazing and I couldn’t agree with you more Tristano when you said that a huge majority of watch lovers in the world can sometimes forget the level of craftsmanship, dedication and the unrelenting passion that goes into making some of these truly amazing watches. Well I look forward to seeing a glimpse of this micro fantastic world of watch making in your upcoming vids. Good to have you back my friend 👍
I'm excited to see your future videos on the nitty gritty of how the watches get made. I love getting an inside view on that kind of stuff. Thanks for the great content!
Ciao TGV! You are such a suave and impressive guy. You have certainly pushed me to embrace the more refined and cultured parts of life. Since watching your videos I have gained such respect for watches, cultures and most importantly a proper and refined lifestyle. I have began learning Italian for a multitude of reasons, one of them being the fact that you speak it too. Love the videos, love your classiness. Keep up the good work! Best Regards, Jordan
I'm so excited for this video series!!! It'll be a while before I can even think of going to Switzerland, so I'm going to enjoy it vicariously through you :)) Onwards and upwards, TGV!
I totally agree with you after spending my first six weeks here in geneva in the watchmaking world you start to get the idea of the effort, time and passion that goes into every single watch and it's just a magical place to learn. I cannot wait to see more content!
It's just so great to see someone who has been collecting for so long get so inspired :) The thing you say about finding an appreciation of all levels that's just, well thumbs up for that :) Watching this episode you actually seems like you've just discovered the greatest invention ever, the enthusiasm... Fantastic :)
Many thanks for posting all the videos from your journeys to the various watch factories. I absolutely agree with your observation and it made me appreciate my Orient watch even more as it is a completely in house creation and given the price, it is indeed remarkable .So thank you again and I truely enjoy your videos.
Tristano, Welcome back! Looking forward to seeing the videos and enriching our view of The Watchmakers and their creations. Some ideas...The travel to the watch making Meccas...instead of selling your beloved watches...organize the trip with ten more guests and that would cover your part. Also the state of the collection that you do is fun because you see an evolution or better a change in your ideas about the watches and your relationship with each one, that is fun. It is the voyage not the destination. He he Glad to see you so motivated.
I am really looking forward to the next videos! Its heartwarming to see how enthousiast you are about Switzerland. Living here day by day sometimes you forget how beautiful it is. Already recognized a lot of places in the teaser pics. Also hope it will make some of your followers a little bit more educated about the swiss watch industry and the passion behind it.

We went to Switzerland last August and it was just three weeks of me and my dad drooling in front of store windows. Best place in the world, although Beijing, China with its watch-filled Wangfujing boulevard was pretty nice as well
Great video! Looking forward to the details! I've been to places too and I completely agree that the real cultural excursion begins with meeting and knowing actual people from the place.
Mate, I hope I can do my little share to make your dreams come true by abiding your awesome channel, watching everything. Passion goes a long way. In both directions. Cheers, Martin.

How hard was it to get to this point?! If you think of that (and I'm sure of all the hard work) I'm positive you'll be on your way to Japan next. Keep it Up. Thanks!
Quite the dissertation TGV. You projected a sense of accomplishment and needed completeness and achievement regarding history of horology and its true meaning. Good God, man. Starting the video with my all time favorite song! Setting the bar high right off the bat. Great video.
P.s. If you haven't heard Tzimon Barto's version of this song you should check it out. It's the most passionate performance I've heard.
Looks like an amazing trip, glad to have you back!

Very thoughtful. Travel always brings out the best in people.
Hehe, you might be the first person ever to call us Swiss open :) Most people complain about how uncommunicative and reserved we are.
Michael Gisiger above all you swiss lack a sense of humor.
Mad Stevens Humour is so overrated, it keeps you from piling up and counting money 🤣
Patience my friend. You're doing a great job with this. Amazing work. You're inspiring me to start a channel, and look further into watches. But think of how far you've come. How hard was it to get to this point?! If you think of that (and I'm sure of all the hard work) I'm positive you'll be on your way to Japan next. Keep it Up. Thanks!

Hi TGV!
Not really related to this episode but I have a question. Have you ever heard about "Henry London" watches? It is a bit of a fashion brand however it uses a fine citizen Japanese quartz and automatic movement instead of a cheap Chinese one. But what I really love is the design of their watches - inspired by a vintage 60's 70's London watches. I really love this watches, have two of them. They're a little bit pricey for a fashion brand, in range of 130-275$ but it is often possible to find them on internet with a big discounts (for example when they're launching a new collection), I managed to buy my with a 70% discount 💪😁
You have a great channel, I'm a big fan of yours and a watch enthusiast myself 😁
So exciting! Looking forward to your submissions over the next few months and I hope you beat that cold sooner than later my friend.
I think the question on everyone's mind is, if we go to Switzerland, would we be able to visit all the cool places you did?
I mean, I have no connections to the professional watchmaking world and I'm not the proprietor of a well known horology-related TH-cam channel, so what are my chances of visiting the Vacheron factory and witness their day-to-day operations? How does it all work? Do we make an appointment? Do we notify them months before that we'll be visiting? I think a video recapping how to plan a trip to Switzerland could be useful, after we get to see all your new footage of course!
Keep up the good content! Excited for the things to come!
Welcome back Tristano. Thank you for reminding me about Snupps. I actually used it when it came out few years ago. The creator of Snupps is a very good friend of min.
