I’ve made $$ on ‘junk silver’, but I’m mostly squirreling it away. Just the little I’ve purchased year over year has lots of value. It’s been a great store of value.
90% should be in every silver stackers portfolio. We stack junk silver bc its worst case scenario money. Its plus that its legal tender, no more are being produced, they have a numismatic value as well.
US constitutional silver is the best type and there is high demand for it in rest of the world. we're privileged to get the best circulated silver for cheap and have it readily available.
SpegTacular you bring real value with what you bring to us on TH-cam as well as WhatNot! I made a 2oz silver purchase about 2 1/2 weeks ago, what I paid then as of right now I still paid under what spot is today! It won’t happen all the time but what I’m saying is you are fair, honest and respectful $ Be Blessed
At my shop, the spread on 40% is generally smaller than the 90%. I hate 40% and people who like that stuff are kinda weird lol, but it does have a smaller spread. for whatever that's worth.
Actually this stuff is not for when the crap has hit the fan, this is for when the crap that hit the fan has settled down and people are trying to get back to normal. While the crap is still being spread around by the fan you want to sell skills food water tools or shelter
@@HarrisonCountyStudio yes but in the real world most people will be trading for things they can actually use, and since we haven't been using money for over 50 years, having such an uneducated public to all of the sudden adopt it is unrealistic. People are going to want to tools food water and weapons, more so than precious metals. Again, you have to be realistic. Take a walk down the street and ask your neighbors if they would be willing to trade you something for gold and silver most of the time they're going to ask why gold&silver. If you are not able to put yourself mentally in that position to understand how people are going to behave in a realistic manner, you are not prepared. That's like when people buy a bunch of those buckets of food for such an occasion but never try to cook it or try to eat it and see if they will even be able to handle it is just as unprepared has my prior statement. Then you got people that will say that they will just hunt squirrels and stuff but I've never skinned an animal and when they are extra hungry and they are feeling weak and dizzy, trying to skin a squirrel and then be able to start a fire is going to be disastrous for them.
Yeah, junk Silver makes up fully 50% of my overall Silver stack. I add to my junk Silver every single pay period, even though I'm more focused on ASEs, 1 ounce generic bars, and Gold right now.
I would recommend 25% of your stack be junk silver. Wouldn't recommend 1oz bars. Instead go for 10oz bars (if you can). But cut back in the junk silver for sure. ASE are very good though
@@SilverEagles21 Utility is a higher priority for me than price. Therefore, I NEVER go above 1 ounce in Silver and I never buy anything but fractional Gold from 1/2 down to as low as 1/10th. 50% of my stack will remain 90%, as I'm most interested in utility. There is nothing that a 10oz bar can accomplish, typically, that ten ASEs, ten 1 ounce bars, or ten 1 ounce rounds can't accomplish.

When I was first starting out in coin collecting I came across a man who was selling his collection. We set up a time and place to meet and I grabbed my check book and headed on over. I bought out his entire collection nickels(including war nickels which have silver in them.35%), dimes(both mercury and Roosevelt and every now and then a barber), quarters (all 90%), halves (silver 90%,40%,commerative{which is clad}) some dollars (silver (90% commemorative, I believe that there were some Morgan and Peace ) and some of the Walking Liberty Silver Dollars (I forgot how many). By the time I was finished tallying up the price it was around 6k and considering the amount of silver I got I was more than happy to pay it and he was more than happy to accept it ( he wasn’t really sure what the collection was worth, I could have told him $1600 and he would have been happy) but I wanted him to consider me for the future because he still had one of those 10gallon crocks half full with pennies and I really wanted it. But that is what really made my collection. I was able to fill up or partially fill almost all of my collections.
