I found was grossly undereducated men who called themselves “preachers” or “pastors” who were chiefly interested in:

2. Gaining popularity
3. Spreading a false gospel
It was quite obvious to me they had very little Biblical knowledge.
MacArthur, on the other hand, has a vast knowledge of the Bible and goes to great pains to explain it so articulately. I can honestly say that he changed the direction of my life. I am forever grateful to find such a wonderful teacher. Therefore, I’ve created this TH-cam channel in order to propagate his accurate and thorough Biblical teachings.

I am 78yrs old and No vaccination and only wear mask when forced by local laws. Afraid to Die Not in the least And l Pray daily that l am as brave when my time to Die comes. As l proclaim that l am in Gods Hands since l was Born. Only God knows how and When l will Die also He is the one that Gives me strength day to day to live. I hear you. I would not have gotten vaccinated if my wife didn't insist on it and also if the rest of my family, my mother and father and my brother and sister-in-law didn't refuse to see me because I was unvaccinated. I was unvaccinated and I was proud of it when all people around me were getting the shots and lining up around the drug stores like lunatics.

On fear of death, Our Lord says (excerpt from Maria Valtorta's Notebooks 1943, pp. 216, 225): "To lose one's life, the supreme misfortune for the man living in flesh and blood, is not a loss but a gain for the man living by Faith and spirit. That is why I said, "do not fear those who can kill your bodies (Matt 10:28). But for those, who have not understood My Love, have not given Me their love, have not understood that only one science is useful, that of Love, death is fearful. They are afraid. They are even more afraid if they feel they have acted not very well or quite badly.
The lying mouth of man -- for man's mouth rarely tells the truth which I, the Son of God and Word of the Father, have taught you to tell at all times -- says, to deceive and comfort himself and deceive others, 'I have acted and act properly.' But conscience, which stands like a two-sided mirror before yourself and before the eye of God, accuses man of not having acted and not acting at all well as he proclaims. A great fear thus besieges them: the fear of Judgement of Him for whom man's thoughts, acts, and affections are not hidden.
But if you fear Me so much as a Judge, O unfortunate ones, why don't you avoid having Me as a Judge? Why don't you make Me your Father? But if you fear Me, why don't you act according to My Orders? Are you unable to listen to Me when I speak to you with the voice of a Father who guides you with a loving hand, hour by hour? But at least obey Me when I speak to you with the voice of a King. It will be a less rewarded obedience on account of being less spontaneous and sweet to My Heart. But it will still be obedience. And why, then, don't you do so? Death is inevitable. Blessed are those who arrive at that hour clothed in love to meet the One who is coming."
And fear paralysis people from thinking and able to make informed decisions.... that is why i don't give in to fear and thanks to the Spirit of Sound Mind.

@@reynaldodavid2913Jo Well, first, nothing in my original post had any reference to me stating that I know who the true God is - just a comment on covid & masks. I took your first comment as a knock against MacArthur's teaching. The God he teaches IS the God of the Bible, and salvation is thru no other than Jesus Christ - i.e., the Gospel, which is what JM teaches. He teaches very unwavering Biblical orthodoxy, which is not palatable to many. If you are an atheist/agnostic, my statements won't change your mind. You have to be convicted by the Holy Spirit of sin, and repent. Then it becomes a life long process of unfolding God's words and principles. Faith is crucial - and many do not like something they can't put in a test tube and verify analytically.

So, what is wrong with me when still having the fear of death as a born again Christian? My former life was filled with panic attacks, anxiety disorder etc.
I agree that the survival rate - generally speaking - is 99%. Is that the case for certain segments of the population like 90 year olds and individuals who have had cancer, two heart attacks and diabetes? If it's not, what is that mortality rate?

There seems to be a call from leaders that Christians should be involved in politics and leaders should be directing their congregants on how to get involved and who to vote for. What chapter and verse of scripture is being used to validate that call? A Christian's goal is to spread the gospel and that should not be taken lightly. Well, I believe the word says to use wisdom in all things. I have a cousin and an uncle who died from covid, and another 2 friends. They never had fear at all. I was in the 101st Airborne, we had fear. I've no problem with churches being open and I think they should be but use wisdom.
I think the world should collectively use wisdom and make China pay for releasing this virus cuz I believe they did it on purpose. I hear about people dying here and people dying there and it's all because of this virus that came from China and yet we're not making them pay for it. It's ludicrous that we're letting them get away with this. That's my two cents on the lack of wisdom in the world.
Also, If you choose to live your life in fear by calling it “wisdom” then you can stay home in a hazmat suit for the rest of your life. You don’t get to tell others to do the same.

“…salvation is freely offered to some while others are barred from access to it.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 21, Paragraph 5)
God arranges all things by his sovereign counsel, in such a way that individuals are born, who are doomed from the womb to certain death and are to glorify him by their destruction.( John Calvin Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 6):
“The devil, and the whole train of the ungodly, are in all directions, held in by the hand of God as with a bridle, so that they can neither conceive any mischief, nor plan what they have conceived, nor how muchsoever they may have planned, move a single finger to perpetrate, unless in so far as he permits, nay unless in so far as he commands, that they are not only bound by his fetters but are even forced to do him service” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 1, Chapter 17, Paragraph 11)
Ask him if this is true? He will say yes!!

When you know where you are going when you die there is no fear. Romans 6:23 For the penalty for sin is death, and we all sin, First John 1:8, and we all die, But, But, But, THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Why is it is a free gift? Because no one can earn it. Romans 4:5 Romans 11:6. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, First Corinthians 15:1-4, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 3:26-28 For He is the just and the justifier of them that BELIEVE in Jesus. Where is boasting then? You cannot boast in free gift that we did nothing for. Jesus paid the debt and set us free. John 3:18. No longer condemned to hell.
I deserve to go to hell, but Jesus paid my sin debt in full, past, present, and future sins I have not even thought of yet. Romans 4:7-8. Thank God it is free. Romans 11:6 AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. You cannot boast in 0.

@@luuu440, I have been reading the bible for more than 20 years and the description of God is not the same as the description of the Calvinist, God is not gloried by people going to hell by His own decree, as what John Calvin said that God decreed people going to hell and is glorified by it... God definitely did NOT decreed the rapist to rape several women and killled them, the God of the Calvinist is a cruel God...

Religion tends to lead to counting rosaries and praying to statues, not to mention the brick and mortar tends to lead to corruption by those who aren’t there for the right reasons. Tax free status is government control (think the Johnson act). The true church in its infancy were followers of Jesus who spread the good news of the gospel and gathered together in their homes to break bread and worship. Religion wasn’t a word they used. As a cheerful giver, we should give to those in need, not to the electric bills of a building. No need for any of that when I can gather 100 people in my back yard for free and we can find ways to “tithe” without it being funneled 10 different places first. I’m not opposed to brick and mortar churches, I’ve just seen so many fall apart under the “authority” of a corrupt pastor.
When you tell me the story about your God that's all it is, a story, and it's not even a good story, neither compelling nor interesting. It's just a tale told to you by others and repeated by yourself, you don't know that it's true just because you are gullible enough to believe it. It's a fiction and like all fiction will remain just a story until such time as there is absolute proof of its authenticity.
Blind faith and a need to believe is not proof of anything, all the words and stories in your bible have no more credence than any other story about magical beings in the sky and there are plenty of stories about different Gods, Ghosts, Fairies etc. told to us throughout history.
You don't believe these stories because they are fanciful and don't make sense yet you believe in the God/Jesus story with your whole being, despite any absolute proof, you need to believe that unlike any other animal on Earth you will live on after your death, it's called wishful thinking and whilst your own wishful thinking to yourself does no harm it can cause all types of mental problems to others if it is pushed onto them as truth, especially children who are mostly trusting of the words of adults. It can, and does lead to deep seated anxiety, fear, guilt, paranoia and feelings of unworthiness, Feelings that are taken from childhood to adulthood just because of a fictional story written by people in the bronze and iron ages. Religion has a lot to answer for.
Actually, there is overwhelming proof the Bible is true. First, the prophecies about Jesus that were told thousands of years earlier that actually happened. It would build your faith if you studied them. It’s actually more difficult to be an unbeliever than a believer if you truly look at the prophecies that came true. Secondly, atheists have no answer to how man first came to be. The best “fantasy” is a Big Bang theory. A great explosion created man. Third, we have eyewitness testimony to Jesus’ life, miracles, death and resurrection. We convict people on eyewitness testimony. And the more eyewitnesses the stronger the evidence. The Bible is written by eyewitnesses. Lastly, the lives of true Christians testify to the existence and power of God. A changed and new life that is obvious to everyone around him/her.
Now, everyone has a freewill to believe or not believe. But it will never change the truth. And one day EVERY knee will bow to God. My day and your day will come. Get ready!

The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, which report supernatural events in fulfilment of specific prophecies claiming that they are words of divine origin, rather than human in origin
@@mrsbrzr The bible was written by men and as such is unreliable, every story and prophecy is open to subjectivity and what means something to one reader will mean something else to another.
The stories in the bible are fanciful and are not used as a reliable account of history by any credible historian, to be frank the bible is fuill of lies and contradictions.
No matter how devine you say the origin of the bible is, it was written, edited and changed over time by the most fallible of creatures, human beings. But you want to believe that there's a big cotton candy land in the sky waiting for you after your death and you will not be convinced otherwise so keep on dreaming.
