    You are literally the only 1 using this model. I wonder what is your Maximum Memory Tjunction temp during Furmark load for 10 minutes ?

    • @theclockpit
      @theclockpit  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      VRAM junct will hover around 76⁰ periodically jumping as high as 78⁰ and 74⁰ during a Furmark stress load +1500 mem OC. Fan stock curve about 40%. Non OC will stay at 72⁰. Stays quiet and runs pretty cool. If I manipulate the fan curve a bit higher it will hang around 74⁰ 50% fan. The GPU temp rarely reaches past 60⁰ even at max OC which generally keeps the fan at low rpm.

    • @KainRazielMT
      @KainRazielMT ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@theclockpit If you want to lower VRAM Temperature, you can try putting in copper shims in place of the factory thermal sheets sandwiched between the GPU's metal plate and the VRAM modules. Some people had impressive results. Thermal paste has to be used to allow for more contact between the plate, and VRAM modules.

    I have the 666w Galax bios on my 4090 Suprim X Hybrid right now. It pulls ~600w in games like Exodus and Resident Evil Village at 5160x2160 resolution. Max I've seen is 630w peak, and it still holds 3060mhz....damn impressive. I'm an Aorus shill tho and have wanted their 4090 but it was never in stock up here in Canada so I got the Suprim X Hybrid. I'll be going back to the factory bios, I dont see enough benefit to keep it other than ability to turn fans off at low temps. This card becomes limited by the voltage rather than power draw, an additional 30-40 watts will gain 10 fps.....maybe.. and thats a big maybe. This card is very good with OC'able settings at stock bios. Unless Aorus releases an official new bios I'll be going back to official bios which I guess will be official bios either way,

      @@theclockpit I was going to say that these high wattage VBIOS setups are extremely ineffecient. Beyond 500W there are no gains worth the extra heat and stress on the card. Ada Lovelace is actually an extremely efficient GPU architecture. The fact that Nvidia even built the RTX 4090 in unreal. THE CARD IS OVERKILL.....in the best of ways. Nvidia could have gotten away with pushing the card only to 400W instead of 600W and would still demolish the market. DerBauer has a very interesting video on lowering the power levels to maximize efficiency. Gamer's Nexus was the first one to realize that it's a Voltage issue and not a power issue holding Ada Lovelace back. Can't wait to see the XOC modders completely annihilate records.

    hey thanks for all the info on the waterforce. i have seen some people say the the card feels a bit too cheap in quality. i was wondering what your opinion is on that. consider you are the one owning a waterforce you would know more than most people. I can't quit make a desistion on what to buy. i'm considering a suprim x or the waterfore.

    • @theclockpit
      @theclockpit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The performance of both of these cards is very similar, temperatures on average are about 10c less than air cooled cards, but not anywhere near as low as custom loop temps. The warranty is a bit longer on Gigabyte (4 yr), Suprim x is cheaper, if you wanted to custom water cool you could get an air cooled card and waterblock for the same price as this waterforce... the waterforce fans will be a bit more of a pain to change out if you need/choose to since they dont use standard pwm connectors, lots of things to consider. The bottom line is.. they all perform at the same level, silicon lottery is the only variable if you plan to overclock a d even then I've seen the cheapest cards outperforming the best. As far as build quality goes, the radiator is quite light, more than I like but seems to perform well.., the cable tied fan cable that follows the cold tube path feels like an afterthought, there is a plastic housing on the front of the card as opposed to the metal monster air cards, that may have been a thermal choice but they didn't do anything special with it.. its exactly what it looks like it's light and people may describe light as cheap.. I don't think it's worth $150 more than the suprim. I'd suggest to pick what fits your case and budget, don't look back.

If you have a high refresh rate monitor 100 MHz and and an extra 100W of power won't do you any good. 500W max for this card is perfect and it's super quiet while doing so. Consider as well that the water block is cooling other parts as well such as VRMs and VRAM chips. The truth doesn't lie in just the Core temperature. The VRAM memory junction temperature on the Water force is ridiculously low as it never goes beyond 58C. My old RTX 3090 had a hybrid cooler and still would hit 88-105C stock. I had to replace the thermal pads on the backside and add huge heatsinks in order to get anything less than 80C during gameplay. This card is actually the best you can currently get hands down regardless of clock speed or chip lottery.
