met Brian when I was a kid. My dad used to know people in the production industry. I must have been in about 10 and my sister was 6. We asked him if he'd ever seen a koala in real life. At the time we didn't know he was British. He was really good about it an explained he had only ever seen them in the zoo and they weren't a common sight in Australia. I ended up going to the show which was the razors edge tour and my dad had me sit with the sound crew in the middle of the arena. There was another kid there in a wheelchair who was placed on top of some of the crates to watch the show. They did this acdc money drop from the ceiling during 'money talks' and because we were in a closed off area there was lots lying around so I collected a bunch and gave some to people behind the barriers. I was so shy as a kid I didn't talk to that kid but wanted to share it with him because he was really stuck where he was. Always felt bad about that. I think my dad said he was a relation of the Young family afterwards. Out of all the concerts I went to over the years the ACDC ones were always the most entertaining.
Omg, Brian referred to a Holiday Inn as a posh place & I just lost my shit. Laughed so damn hard. Gotta love those guys.

I was at the show in Syracuse. It was my first concert, on the Back in Black Tour, October 5th, 1980. The support band was Gamma, who included Ronnie Montrose (ex-Montrose), Davey Pattisson (who also played with Robin Trower) and Denny Carmassi (later of Heart). So it could have been one of them "at one with the tree"!

Goth World Angus is very shy in front of the camera. This is seen in a lot of interviews. Malcolm on the other hand is pretty talkative in his interviews. And Brian's always got stories to tell!

Goth World but if you get along/have something in common with your rude uncle, then it's pretty awesome.
Angus and Malcolm have always been more introverted, Brian has always been a character. He's awesome he just naturally gravitates to people.

The opening night of their Black Ice World Tour was in Chicago. When they launched into Whole Lotta Rosie a huge blow up doll of Rosie began to float above the stage. Until it deflated mid-song. Just like the Spinal Tap Simpsons episode.

Lol, Ozzy has never been support act, but it was the other way round, when AC/DC supported Black Sabbath and finally got kicked out of the tour because of a fight between Geezer Butler and Malcolm Young. Geezer even pulled a knife.
I love Angus, he doesn't say much, but has a lot of personality. He reminds me of myself a little. Love Angus Young one of the best guitarists of all time.

Was front and center all 3 nights, (I knew how to sneak in and hide under the bleachers all day long.)
2nd night, Brian trips over his monitor and falls ON me !

They got him back up, but I had Brian's hat ! And... seriously. You know I HAD to give it back. ;-)

I always loved the story Brian told on Top Gear. He was doing a gig in Russia and needed to take a piss. It was dark and he couldnt really see that well. Later he found out he pissed on Sputnik lol
Sputnik was the first man made satellite launched into space in 1957. Sputnik is Russian for "Satellite". It is an object of national significance (and pride) for the Russians, so they were obviously angry about it lol Its kind of like when Ozzy Osbourne pissed on the Alamo. The only difference is when Ozzy did it, he did it on purpose lol

+CreepYourSmile - I just googled the story and that is indeed what he said, even describing it as just a black ball. He states he was outside at the time.
I'm afraid to say he is completely misremembering. There is no replica of Sputnik outside in Moscow, as he claims. There is a huge monument to inspired by Sputnik and the first man in space Yuri Gagarin, and Russian space exploration in general called, Monument to the Conquerors of Space.
But, it is massive, like 100 metres high and he'd have just been peeing on the side of it.
I really can't think what he is thinking about, but I'm guessing he was pissed and is completely misremembering what happened. I can't think what else it could be.

Its still a fun story, even it its not true. The best stories tend to be fiction anyway. Even if they are based in fact, there still tends to be a bit of fiction thrown in for dramatic effect (weather its intentional or not).

Iv got lots of spinal tap stores....... one comes to mind....We were booked by an agent to preform in a club we new no one there so we just sat in the changing room 5 of us...... the time came to go on stage and we were getting introduced by a lady so as we were getting are guitars and drummer settling in to his seat the lady started to announced why the night was arranged...she got on the mike and thanked every one for coming and I know David will be smiling down from haven....... he was taken from us by a drunken driver that never stopped to see if David was OK so RIP David (big round of applause)..............Well we have got a fantastic band for you all so put you hands together for.................. she turned to me quietly and said sorry what's your bands name.......... Iv never bin so terrified in my life what could I say we were called HIT AND RUN......If I get some interest about my story I will tell you what happened next.....

Holiday Inn's back in the day were plush. haven't been in one lately, but they were nice. Not 5 star hotels, but nice to real people.
