IF prayer is to be Affective, WE NEED to be Asking The LORD as an Invitation to RULE OVER OUR LIVES, and Show Us a Better Way to Live Them ,according to HIS WILL..! - Psalm 31:3 says it like this-“For THOU art my Rock and my Fortress; therefore for Thy Name’s sake LEAD ME, and Guide Me.”
I think plenty of pastors have spoken on the topic for ages. It’s just they don’t politicize it by using the term woke. Why not just sin? My issue with the term is we know it’s highly politicized and divisive. Simply lump a bunch of random areas that challenge and anger one particular demographic. Why not include all this Q cultism and Christian nationalism that’s even deeper in the American Church? Why don’t those fit into the definition? Most talks using this word only stir up anger, division and hatred. Call out the sins (homosexuality, racism, lies) but you will lose the Gospel message and cater to the wrong crowd playing politics.
The US Methodist council is forcing all Methodist churches to become woke. My sil's dad has a hard decision to make as he is a Methodist pastor. So sad.
