- Welcome to another Honda Drag Race featuring Honda City 2006 vs Honda City 2018. Honda City 2006 has CVT transmission with 1.3L engine. Honda City 2018 has manual transmission with 1.3L engine. We have done two runs of quarter mile drag race and rolling race. Watch the video to know if old honda city is better than new honda city. Also, the price of both cars and 0-100 kph time is also included in video.

manual vs cvt is not fear but its proof that cvt is not to bad. and cvt is more fuel eficient and ultra smooth even in accel test. cvt is perfect transmision for daily because of smooth and fuel eficient but not in durabilty.

Bro i have 2007 Steermatic 1.5 VTEC CVT and it can eat any car raning upto 1800 cc easily ;) no matter its 2021 or 2007 :D

Great video! I have a 2006 City VTEC manual which is on another level altogether. Mine is completely stock amd has 100hp from factory. I am sure it would be a great race to see between mine and the newer version in this video. Have smoked Creta petrol already ❤️

We want it to compete with the 2006 manual,tho its surprising how the 14 year old 77hp CVT was able to keep so close with the new 100hp manual one.

sir scene yeh ha kay wou swift bohat achi maintained ha and i mean like everything is maintained performance wise like spark plugs, air filter, engine oil, oil filter are changed timely and general tuning must be done periodically and maybe even a new clutch plate baqi gari jinkay saath race hoi ha wou itni maintained nahi ha thats why swift wins
So, you are saying that if swift beats some car then that car is not well maintained? You should reconsider your comment for once. There can't be coincidence with every car in every run.
@@CBrCarsAndBikesRacing no im saying thats its very well maintained you need to find a manual transmission civic which is also kept in a well condition and by that i mean a civic with a maintained engine which still has all of its power and that is very hard to find in older civic models i have beaten a swift with my manual 7 th gen exi the only difference is that my civic is very well maintained i have timely changed its timing belt and i regularly change its engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter in its due time and yes i also replaced my clutch plate and my transmission oil and also my fuel filter its now beating 7th gen manual transmission vti,s as well the 0 to 100 is in 9.3 to 9.4 secs flat

That is what we were trying to show that 2006 is giving competition to 2018 and CVT has no gear lags as compared to auto or manual transmission so it performs better. Don't be a keyboard warrior think wisely.

Have we said that it is comparison between every 2006 city? It is mentioned that the city 2006 is vario. So, you shouldn't generalise it with every city 2006.

Comparing a newer and older generation obviously makes sense. If you have doubts with results bring your car for rematch otherwise don't be a keyboard warrior. We don't want to get engaged in any conclusion less debate.
