@Microsoft's Satya Nadella made moves at their big Microsoft Build 2024 event & introduced a ton of new AI innovations that would leave even Steve Ballmer himself sweatier than usual.
Co-Pilot is now bigger & more robust than ever with GPT-4o being deployed soon, new PCs that will have Co-Pilot built in, entirely new chip architectures called NPUs (Neural Processing Units), a revamped MS-PAINT and a little feature named “Recall” which promises to spy on you in a good way (we hope). Oh and it can help you play Minecraft.
OpenAI’s Sam Altman even made an appearance at the end of the event to show just a lil support to the company that put 10 billion dollars into his start-up.
We got just a lil’ sweaty thinking about it.

So, yes, I would allow MSFT to look at all my stuff on my computer I think if it really made it this easy to do things. However, there are a TON of people who would never ever want this. And I get that.
However, I am so disorganized that I think this could be a game changer.
That said, I still feel weird about how sweaty the versions of us are in the thumbnail.

I recall Salman Khan goes into some detail about constructing Khanmigo back in his TED talk from when GPT-4 first came out. They had six month early access to it to build the system, and it sounds like they use a lot of techniques to keep the AI tutor on track and not hallucinating. They do things like run multiple conversations threads at once, one as the student-facing AI tutor and another as an internal AI supervisor that grounds the promptings and grades the responses. Working on Khanmigo would be like my dream job. I'm lining up work now to hopefully have some role in implementing new systems in the public schools where I live.
Yeah I think it’s very, very cool and could hugely change how we look at AI going forward.
Having an AI in your computer is scary for lots of people for privacy reasons, but I think they will essentially give us superpowers. We'll be able to ask for instructions for anything we want to do on the computer and let them walk us through it as if there's a genius over our shoulders. Eventually everyone will get them or else they're gonna fall behind.
But then again, there's also a chance that the AI will go rogue and destroy humanity now that they have direct access to everything lol
We feel a lot of this. Also, MalWare is about to get a whole lot more dangerous with a system like this. Oof.
First thing that comes to mind when I think of NPU is Arnold saying "My CPU is a neural-net processor; a learning computer." 😂

A Minecraft co-pilot is the only way I will ever understand redstone. Just worried it’ll have me building an escape AGI contraption with it when I’m just trying to automate wheat farming
It would make all the sense in the world for a Minecraft server to be the thing that takes us all down.
Great episode!I’ve been somewhat pessimistic with the capabilities of AI… which is funny because my vision for AI amazes my colleagues at work (I cut metal and make parts for the GE, the government and space-x to name a few). I’ve thought of ways to make the toolcrib at work more efficient and an overall app that resembles fallout shelter but allows a CEO and some other employees create goals that are broken down to manageable tasks and assigned to AI agents that carry out the task then either present it to a human or goes into a feedback loop that refines the output until no more changes can be made to enhance the output or an error occurs.
ooooh that's a cool idea -- yeah it's always going to be interesting to see what is ACTUAL reality vs promoted without testing reality etc
The big revelation here is Satya uses Copilot to cheat against his daughter in Minecraft

Politicians always say they are us too. Until they get access to money, power and become part of the establishments. Then they no longer give a dam. Your favorite juicy booty latina congress woman AOC comes to mind.
For now, You respond to me cuz you're still small time, but once you reach your goal of higher subscribers and views, the peoples views will no longer matter, only money from advertisers and corporations take precedent. It's human greed, It's natural. Dont feel bad.
We've seen this game played thousand of times already. You guys are young and new to the game so It's understandable you might not know we already know your game play.
You should be pushing back and questioning against all these new tech as you already know corporations never have our best intentions in mind. Your channel title says so.
Baking a spyware tech right into their OS and calling it co-pilot is them bullshittting us right to our face. But it's your channel and your call to make if you're going to bend over for them or raise awareness to their evilness.....choose wisely, your privacy and freedom depends on it.
