Love open ear designs, I have the Tozo Open Buds and use them religiously for running. Also interested in these; how do they stack up in your opinion to the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds (specifically interested in the bass response).
As someone with who works a desk support job then comes home to a wife and 2 year old toddler, these are life changing. I can go on walks around the neighborhood and still be aware of my surroundings. Im not a fan of ANC.
As a father of three I can see getting these. Normally I use a setup a Bluetooth speaker, or go to my Bose QuietComforts - they're good but it gets a little humid after a while. I want something that I can use for podcasts, TH-cam watching, and phone calls. Sometimes I need some music to help fall asleep and I could wear these on one side while side-sleeping too.
I can't get a single ear bud to fit in my ear and stay in. Almost all earbuds now days have the same design so if one does not fit none of them do. I'm looking at getting these and hope they didn't fall out every 2 seconds. I'm also not a fan of ANC so this is another plus for me.
I wonder how the pricing will develop over time. The ear (a) dropped to 76 € just before the launch of these and the ear to 99 €. In my mind, these should be comparable to the ear in terms of value for money, so maybe Black Friday can create some great deals for all three of these headphones. I will definitely keep an eye on them come November.
Personally, I enjoy listening to music with great sound system from good source on a decent lounge chair. That being said I travel a lot and go to the gym at least 4 times a week and would like to enjoy listening to music during those times too. I'm currently considering open ear earbuds for many reasons. For many years I had tried quite a number of earphones and headphones from varying brands such as Shure, Sony, Bose, Sennheiser and Apple, I had my fair share finding reasons to like in-ear earphones but to no avail as my ear canal often do not cater to wide variety of standard ear tips (unfortunately), investing in custom IEM doesn't make sense for me (as it's not meant for casual music listening and I would rather invest into my sound system at home), as for headphones bulkiness is a problem and so is stuffy ear cups- with the amount of walkings I do everyday, these earphones and headphones simply doesn't satisfy my needs even though they are good products, which sounds decent. Which now leave me to consider open ear earbuds, I had yet to explore such products, I saw the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds but I wanted to look for other brands for comparison purpose and Nothing (Open) came out just at the right time! Can't wait to give that a try... hopefully it satisfy my needs...
I was hoping for the next version of the nothing ear stick (with a much smaller case this time!) Do people here reckon another semi open style ear bud will be coming from nothing, or do you think this product is the replacement for them?
I ended up getting the Soundcore Aerofit Pros right after the nothing open was released. Although their adjustment options seem to be better than the aerofit I got, but I lucked out with the aerofit actually fitting me well, the case form factor isn’t great and I’m not really seeing setting these apart compared to the Shokz open earbuds or the aerofit open earbuds I got. Their sound leakage is good but it’s something that’s already accepted with open earbuds anyway. I personally believe these look too much like hearing aids, imo they really messed up not releasing an all black version which might’ve gotten a few friends interested.
I've been eyeing it, but my main concern is how bad is the audio bleed? If I blast it all the way up, because I'm in a noisy environment, will the people sitting next to me hear it coming from my ears?
In the other video from Nothing, they said that the earphones will automatically generate an inverse soundwave of the 'leak' to negate it as much as possible. So basically, there will be 2 'leak' sources and they cancel each other out. Haven't got time to test the actual earphones myself though
These remind me of a pair of earphones that I had back in the mid-2000's that I would use with my cd walkman. They were blue. I forget yhe brand name though.
hi im curious other than focal bathys what are good wireless closed back headphones for sound quality i tend to favour neutral with a bit of bass added on? for me i listen to rock, jazz & ska and even metal core and lighter stuff aswell so looking for a all rounder my budget is anything under £800
They don’t send them to me and yes, too niche. If I had them and really loved them, I’d probably find a way to make some content on it, but I don’t know if I’d like it since they don’t send it to me.
Yes, that’s largely a limitation of Bluetooth. If you want better it has to be supplemented with an additional chip. Samsungs new earbuds do that exceptionally well on recent Samsung phones only.
Confused between ew200 vs truthear hexa I listen pop, vocal, instrumental, electronic and open bass I like energetic, spacious, airy, wide soundstage and mid forward iem I have AirPods Pro 2 and kz zsn pro x
mine are in transit, the only time i ever use my sealed in ear buds is at home where i feel safe and i just don't use them out and about not even with the pass through feature. since i got a nothing 2 phone now i thought i would have a go at these.
I don't think those are for me. The way they stick out of your ears makes me wonder how are they even able to sound decent, let alone great. Not the best design in my opinion. I know there will probably be some users who will find good use cases for these. But they don't look like a good fit for me.
I get that, but speakers exist outside of your ears and can sound good. These are one of the few outer ear designs that I’ve found that sound good. Despite that, still not for me because I prefer a different form factor.

Sound alone, Nothing Ear (2024). If you want the most balanced of features + sound then Galaxy Buds3 Pro.

I've been eyeing it, but my main concern is how bad is the audio bleed? If I blast it all the way up, because I'm in a noisy environment, will the people sitting next to me hear it coming from my ears?
Supposedly the headphones use mics to rediluce bleed
