Hi sir, thanks for the information. My laptop is not booting up now. So I am going make a disk from my friend's laptop. So, how much GB CD I need to buy.? Please give reply.
Hi MrRem300; thanks for commenting. Have you tried searching Google for a downloadable version? I'd have thought there would be a downloadable version from somewhere. Obviously, the only thing you'd need to bear in mind is that you download the version with the correct architecture for your computer (32-bit or 64-bit). A 32-bit CD will not work on a 64-bit machine and vice versa. If you struggle to find it, let me know and I'll have a hunt around for you :-) Hope this helps!
Hi Alex; thanks for commenting! Do you have another Windows 7 machine, or perhaps know somebody with a Windows 7 machine who can create the disk for you? Any repair disk created on any Windows 7 machine should work; the only issue is the architecture your computer uses (i.e. whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit). These aren't interchangable. So, if you computer is 32-bit, you'd need to create the repair disk on another 32-bit version of Windows 7. Hope this makes sense. :-)
Gr8 video. Good talk speed not too fast. I could follow on just with the audio dialogue. Well done buddy. Is there a difference between a repair disk and a system image.
Great video, problem for me is that when I go to all programs, maintenance, there is no system repair disk there. Even when I type it in, not there. Any ideas on that?
Expert help needed! Using windows 7 control panel, back up and restore, create a system repair disc (not system image) the repair disc was burned to dvd. upon placing the disk in the dvd player at bootup, press any key screen windows loading, select next, searching for windows installations, then this message comes up: This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair. This disc was created on this machine. i tested the disk on other machines and it works. Why not on the machine it was created on. This windows 7 pro was installed with gpt efi partition, not mbr, and it still is gpt efi. No expert can help, not even microsoft forums.
The System Repair Disk Video is nice, it would however be much more useful if it were to include a System Restore Point. Therein lies the problem in that the Native location System Restore points are overwritten, What I would like is a SRD + a known base System Restore point on disk so that is not overwritten.
Can you make a video of what's the difference between a system repair disc And an installation disc? And if I made a bootable windows 7 flashdrive would it istall windows 7 and have the repair tools? Answer me please.
My Windows 7 Home Premium system has stopped doing Windows updates. 1st, can I make a recovery disk from a system with problems, this is the only Win 7 system I have, the rest have been upgraded to 10. The problem, won't do windows updates, I get a message that the service is not running. I restart it and it still says it's not running. thanks
My Windows 7 gives error during this process of making repair disk , and also does not even give option to make on usb drive. So tell me what to do in this situation , let me know if there is other third party software to create repair disk . Help me
im sorry one question, what about if the computer that im using it's a 32bits and the computer im trying to repair is a 64bits? because my hard drive crashed and I need to reinstall window, my computer does not turn of, can I still used this system repair disc to reinstall windows, even though I don't have the operating system cd? or I should to have the operating cd installer to reinstall windows in my complete chrased computer? if you can help me i'll appreciate a lot, thank you
Uriel Colin I guess then it would pirate the Original Windows Installation CD DVD the so SRD will request your OWICD/DVD if the problem can't be repaired and requires a fresh version of the OS to be installed. You might need the activation key too.
Thanks mate for taking the time to show me something I didn't know. Disk created and stored away just in case!!!
Thanks very much, Will. You're an excellent teacher. Much appreciated. All the best to you. Michael

Well Windows 98 actually had all this in the installation cd itself, Microsoft touching it's nose around it's head again.
