Super Mario CD Super Disc Prototype

- Found a iso for the Super Disc a CD add on for SNES aka Sony Nintendo PlayStation it contains a beta of Super Mario All Stars, where it was called "Super Mario CD" the idea being to remake the NES games to SNES but using music from the DIC Super Mario Bros Super Show/The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 thanks to it's CD Add on being able to play red book audio tracks, sadly since Nintendo backed out of the Sony partnership deal, Super Mario CD was never finished tho we do have prototypes, another feature to note is Mario and Luigi still have their red/green overalls from the cartoons.

I have a feeling that these tracks in this prototype are music tracks from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 TV show (1990).

I always loved the fuzzy look and the pixels of Super Nintendo games on the old TV.
Mario and Luigi on their classic costumes for SMB3, I didn't think they would look that good, nice one

i think we all can a agree that class can make extremely believable mock ups
people doing smas is more rare then a japanese smw prototype
also i would've made the visuals have more differences if possible as the audio logic is awesome

i remember that in the gigaleak we found that the original name of super mario all stars was super Mario cd
Figured that might of been the plan Nintendo had for this when the Super Disc deal was still on, the satellaview version of Super Mario All Stars/Mario Collection did replace the snes music with actual mario remixes and songs, as well as Mario and other characters talking when you played the games, feel Nintendo would of done so much more with All Stars if it wasn't limited to a cartridge format.

Nintendo nearly had their own SEGA CD called the Super Disc when the Nintendo Playstation deal was still on, this is one of the *prototypes* for it.

It would have been a better idea for Nintendo to take advantage of the deal it made with Sony instead of going with Philips and creating a console as disastrous as the Philips-CDI.
Nintendo didn't create the CDi. Phillips did. The games with Nintendo characters for the CDi were made by Phillips with permission from Nintendo.
