    Wow! That was cool. It's staggering to consider the tons and tons and tons of material going past. Trains are awesome at what they do. Great video, nice to see all those power plants rocking it out and making the grade.

    Mullan Pass is on the old Northern Pacific line between Helena and Garrison Montana. The line runs from Billings to Sandpoint Idaho.
    The track was sold off to a spinoff railroad, Montana Rail Link. At first it was fiercely hated by the people of Montana, almost as much as Burlington Northern was for dropping the line and the crews that worked it. But MRL became a strong regional. Now the BNSF is in the process of re-acquiring the line and all its assets as a fully operational second route across Montana.
    GREAT video!

    オオ?マイーガァ❗とてつもない列車がやって来たぜ我が日本国ではなかなか拝見出来ませんネそれに飽きませんNゲーでもこのような編成難しいかもね🎉それにこの路線現場は米国ですかそれもどの辺りなのか一回でも拝見させて頂きたいくらいですましてやこの路線を守る保全策や保線区の方々のご苦労もあるかと思いますなかなか米国らしいスケールのデカイ貨物列車輸送をありがとうございます。
    撮影した方もご苦労様です!👍️❤❤❤

    Beautiful footage! Especially enjoyed seeing that rare GE dash-8 BNSF loco still decked out in the earlier red & grey Santa Fe livery. (I've always sorta wished that BNSF would have kept using the Santa Fe colors on certain locos alongside its official orange/black scheme.)

      @WasatchRailfan125 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that's a Dash 9. If you see the trucks/wheel design it is different from the dash 8. The radiator is also thicker (like the AC4400CW) than the dash 8's radiator.

      I used to work for a few RR, Conductor/engineer. Most coal trains are in excess of 20,000 tons that i ran. I few curves and a little bit of grade are huge challenges for locomotives. Steel on steel with a little bit of sand in between! Nice video!

      130 coal cars @85 cars per mile equals about 8000 feet of loaded train. 7 locomotives each having 4300 horsepower in notch 8 equals 30,000 horsepower

    was across the bridge in June 2021, a bit further up where the train disappears (Scott Hiddleston made a wonderful video from that location th-cam.com/video/In3zXS4dKQA/w-d-xo.html in June 2013)
    -one of the farmers nearby explained how to get there and said it is his land, nothing to worry about :)
