Have very much enjoyed your videos. We are an American boat, a Hanse 505. This year we sailed to Norway from Scotland to Bergen. Then we stopped at many of the same harbors as you did, just about 6 weeks later. We got to just over 70 North above Tromsø and the Lyngeanfjord. Our boat is on the hard in Bodø now, as we can only stay in Schengen for 90 days at a time. Look forward to the rest of your trip
Thank you for watching 😊 The Schengen rules are crazy, we think that as long as people can support themselves they should be able to stay as long as they want!
Nice that you did some feature presentations. You should include 1 or 2 every episode. Even things and routines that you do while travelling on your boat could be of interest. Segla lugnt!
I am so very jealous!! Sailing in this gorgeous part of the world with this lovely boat. Thank you for sharing. I would love to see more of the Lofoten next time.
She is a magnificent craft, and she just moves through the water with such grace, I just love the way Swedes do it the best, my Grandfather was an Ericsson, then they moved to Australia and the spelling changed to Erickson, not sure why, I'm very proud of my Swedish heritage. And why not such a wonderful people. Thanks for sharing ur magic lifestyle and epic adventures, happy New yr and all the very best in 2023.
We don’t know what to say, your words really touch our hearts. Thank you so much for your kind words and we are happy you take pride in your Swedish heritage never mind the spelling, there are even people spelling Eriksson with an X but most people spell it with K or C so you have covered both 😀 We wish you a great 2023 down under 😃
@@bushpoint ur both very welcome, I thourally enjoy a mature sailing channel, thats informative and actually about sailing, and I've got to say a clean, well organised boat really gets me going, so thank u.
The correct is Lofoten and the name comes from Lo = Lynx foten = the foot Then it should translate to Lynx foot Hope that gave at least some explanation Happy New Year
@@bushpoint Hi there. I know this is the "official" definition, but In Norway we use Lo and Le, like windward and leeward, according to if you are exposed to wind our if you are protected against wind. Could it be that Lofoten really means exposed island giving protection?

The same to you Happy New Year🍾🍾🍾
Why is it that sometimes I hear- lufuten and other times lofoten.?
The correct is Lofoten and the name comes from
Lo = Lynx
foten = the foot
Then it should translate to Lynx foot
Hope that gave at least some explanation
Happy New Year

Maybe you’re right, it sounds like a much more likely explanation.
