This game was sooooo sweet. Take away that panicked INT he threw to Vrabel, the Colts offense basically did whatever it wanted to this game.

Manning took over, and won every postseason meeting, 2006 then 2013 and 2015 AFCC. Patriots fans ranted 2003 and 2004 playoffs was the end all be all showing Brady superiority. FACTS: The Patriots were a defensive dynasty, check their reference where O and D ranked. Wasnt till 2017 that Brady did what Manning did: Reach a SB with a bad defense. And Lost.

Yeah between 05-10 Peyton was 5-2 vs New England, one lost was in 07(the undefeated year) by like 3-4 points, the other was in 10 and that was by 3 points, so Peyton was close to being 7-0 vs New England within 5 years

Peyton was 0-2 against Brady in the playoffs at this point. The rest of his career, he would never lose to Brady in the playoffs again.

Heya! Would you be able to post Colts @ Jags from 2008, for the game on Sunday? Dunno if you're planning to post a classic game every week like last year, but just a suggestion. =)

    * - I think all can agree Tom Brady was not himself in 2022 nor was Peyton Manning himself in 2015. Thus I’ll be excluding both seasons - to Manning’s detriment legacy wise & to Brady’s advantage legacy wise - from this comparison.
Tom Brady had a defense above league average - a very low bar to meet - in either Points per Drive Allowed or Turnovers forced in 18 of his 20 playing seasons.
Peyton Manning had a defense above league average - a very low bar to meet - in either Points per Drive Allowed or Turnovers forced in 7 of 16 playing seasons.
Tom Brady’s average season in that scenario adjusting for games sat for seeding or times they were sat during a blowout:
    395/613 (64.4% completion rate)
    4,577 yards (7.5 YPA)
    34 TD Passes
    10 Interceptions
    98.6 Passer Rating
12 to 13 wins per Season
    (79.4% winning %)
Peyton Manning’s average season in that scenario adjusting for games sat for seeding or times they were sat during a blowout:
    401/595 (67.4% completion rate)
    4,870 yards (8.2 YPA)
    43 TD Passes
    14 Interceptions
    106.6 Passer Rating
13 to 14 wins per Season
    (84.9% winning %)

Not in 2005; they were 17th in the league; allowing 22 points a game. Rebuilding from th 03-04 years. SOMEHOW the Colts were a great D in 2005, the only year they were top 5 in Manning's years. This was his shot, Pittsburgh came in Jan and beat this offense up; and ran it down this defense's throat. Even then, Vanderchoke had to shank away the game. SO manning had to come back in 06, carry the 26th best defense to a SB; including a 21-3 comeback against the #3 D Patriots, silencing all doubt.

@@WalterWhiteFootballSharing important to note that the Colts defense in the 06 Playoffs was basically a revival of the 05 defense because Bob Sanders returned, his injury had been the reason their run defense had regressed so much in the 06 regular season.

Manning is the greatest QB of all-time. There is no debate. Brady got to be in a better organization with better defenses, coaches, offensive lines and special teams. Fastest TD scored against a Belichick defense? Peyton Manning. Most yards by a QB and an offense against a Belichick defense in the playoffs? Both Peyton Manning. Guy Bill Belichick hated giving the ball back to most? Peyton Manning. Guy Belichick (and all coaches) had to game plan for most? Manning, not Brady. Record in AFC Championship games of Manning vs. Brady/Belichick? 3-1, in favor of Manning. "But Manning was bad in cold weather!" Most of his touchdowns came in November and December months. Contrary to the early misnomers, Manning would end up owning the two of them after 2004, especially in the biggest games. "He never got sacked!" That's because of his release time. He was paired with offensive lines that were ALWAYS getting blown up. He was paired with defenses that couldn't get off the field. He was paired with Special Teams units that gave up 150+ return yards PER GAME in the playoffs. His receivers dropped a lot of passes, and/or didn't show up for playoff games (Harrison had 2 TD's his entire career!!!); and he coaches who made bone-headed decisions to call timeouts that gave opposing teams time to win, or some of the WORST challenge/non-challenge decisions ever. Not to mention, the resting of players from the 3rd quarter on in any game they had the lead, and resting the players at the end of the season (which means Manning's numbers could have been even bigger). It made them edgy, cold, and incapable of competing for 60 minutes. Manning carried a lot of garbage teams into the post-season and overachieved with them. Brady had only to manage a great team that gave their coach everything, down to the 53rd player. In the same organization, Manning probably has 3 unbeaten seasons and 9 Super Bowl rings. "But Brady has broken some of Manning's records now!" Yeah, he's also had 3.5 more seasons of healthy play and thrown 1200+ more passes than Manning; again, Peyton doesn't suffer that horrific (and proven-to-be bounty hit) injury, and he plays until he's 43, and his numbers are untouchable. It was Peyton, not Tom, who did more with less.

What am I missing here? Show me a QB today with a better arm than Manning. Show me a quicker RB than James.
