He was 26/29 w/ 4 TD passes - 1 throwaway, 1 drop, 1 bad throw - before the game was essentially over at 31-13. Jesus Christ, it is nice to look back & remember just how good prime Peyton Manning was w/ the Colts. Imagine this version of Peyton Manning on that 2013 Broncos team. He might've thrown 70 TD passes instead of "just" 55.
Such a great season for the colts. Opened hot, struggled in the last month of the regular season and yet somehow got it together for the playoffs and won it all.
Well that's easy to say for you now some fifteen years later. He was wrong, but the Colts going into the playoffs were an incomplete team in a stacked conference. Their defense decided to show up in the playoffs and become stout against the run, particularly with the return of some key defensive players from injury. But again, they were, up to that point, an incomplete team when, in order to win the super bowl, you have to be a complete team. I respect him for having an opinion. Sometimes people are wrong and that's okay.
34:33- Matthew McConnaughey discusses We Are Marshall, the feature film about the Marshall Thundering Herd football team, based in Huntington, WV at Marshall University. The team went through that fateful plane crash in 1970 and had to rebuild. Among other things, the Colts throttled the Bengals, 34-16 on Monday Night Football in Indianapolis, IN. The Colts went on to eventually win Super Bowl XLI, while the Bengals had to deal with problems with players getting in trouble with the law, often, during the season and bringing embarrassment to Cincinnati!!!
Colts move to 7-0 at home, that night, on the way to finishing 8-0 at home and eventually a triumph in Super Bowl XLI- with the Colts win, the Ravens automatically won the AFC North and the Bengals were eventually eliminated from playoff contention!!!
Fact: Chad Johnson never won a single game played in Indianapolis- that includes Super Bowl 46, when he was with the Patriots(his cousin, Antrel Rolle outdueled him as a Giants DB)!!!
39:44 This is the only pass, catch or run of Reggie McNeal's NFL career. Got 8 yards on 3rd-and-7 to pick up the first down in the Red Zone. Not too bad if you're gonna have a 1-play career.
he won a Super Bowl with a historically terrible defense. one of the statistically worst defenses of all time. No one in history has ever won a super bowl with a defense as bad as his. They gave up almost 400 yards rushing to the Jaguars. Right in the middle of the playoff push That’s how good Peyton Manning was.
@@robsmith961 I think a lot of their playoff improvement had to do w/ who they faced in the playoffs. They got Trent Green - who at that point was a beat down game-manager at best, then they played an aging Steve McNair & got Rex Grossman in Super Bowl 41. Tom Brady & the Patriots were the only really semi-threatening passing game they faced the entire playoffs & it took an 18 point comeback to beat them. But they did step up at the end of the day.

Love how they said colts are not good enough to win the Superbowl and they end up winning it that year
Such a great season for the colts. Opened hot, struggled in the last month of the regular season and yet somehow got it together for the playoffs and won it all.
Peyton being a beast nothing unusual
Love the uploads man!
Theismann saying the Colts weren’t good enough to make the SB. Nice call, Joe. smh
As it turned out, he was wrong- Colts went on to win Super Bowl 41, beating the Bears, 29-17!!!

CT Arhives thank you for uploading the Colts Peyton Manning games
Bengals must have loved this game, since they don't have an indoor practice facility

Rudi Johnson was your usualid Auburn runningback and thanks for great upload
