If you have ever hung Christmas lights outside your home... you know the struggle! And while large trees like these look magical fully lit, they can be a beast to try and wrap lights around...
This is one of my favorite and easiest outdoor lighting hacks, easy to hang up, and even easier to take down and store... all ready for seasons to come!
How to:
1. Start by opening up your lights, Christmasers always cut off the tags!!
2. Fold your 100 count light strand in threes or fours and secure at the bottom, middle and top with a zip-tie (you can attach multiple lights together for a longer look, most here in this tutorial are single sets!)
3. Run an exterior extension cord up your tree, add splitters and smaller extension cords and make Christmas magical

I like how she did those too but can she let us in on the secret of power sources. I keep thinking it's a long extension cord.
Probably via a distribution board to the outside transformer, the DB shouldn't be too hard to get at your local.

Not me! You can’t see them… the trees are massive.
I mean… we only have 10 up there and I can’t see them. It’s a very easy install.
Is it just one extension cord going up the tree and the multiple shorter extension cords running along the branches??? If so how do you split the main cord off in so many directions?

So every year we tie a fishing weight to the end, a fishing line, and throw it up an over a limb with the other end attached to the end of the strand of lights. The weight drops to the ground, and then we can pull the lights up to the tree and tie the fishing line off to the trunk of the tree and the lights will look like they're hanging straight down from the tree. We did this all through our front yard and we have people stop and asked us how in the world we got them up in the tree lol..
That's so clever!

We also do that with large ball lights. Spectacular! Try it, it’s easier than you think:)😊

I have a large oak tree in the front. My daughter has been wanting me to do something like this. Guess I better buy more lights. So so pretty
This is so easy to do and it is absolutely spectacular 365 days a year

@@MaryMary-pr4iu I watched it again and realize I was totally wrong about that part! Me bad. But she didn't show how she powered all this doubled vertical strands. She merely hung it on the tree without reaching this way or that linking the doubled strands. It left many of us scratching our heads🤨. I did read lots of comments with replies and was grateful she explained it took a number of cords and
