Excellent job on this game! It reminds me of a board game called Dead of Winter, which, while a great game, is a pain to set up. Having the computer handle all that for you is perfect.

Rythian literally asked to be forest boy because of his spear, then argued he never agreed to the plan. He REALLY was second imposter, god damn. Playing this game like it's a solo survival rpg lol.

I feel like the most obvious tell for Lewis being the baddie in these is when others start messing up and he doesn't start yelling at them.

To be fair it was roll the dice to kill Lewis cause he knows he dead next night. He had nothing to lose.

That was a lot of fun to watch! Didn't think it would be as engaging as it was, but maybe it ended up being amazing because Rythian is the WORST at being innocent in the best way possible

21:00 People say that the ending was RNG and it was somewhat with the medkit, BUT Zylus actually saved the game by not voting Rythian by deducing that either Kirsty or Lewis was lying. If they voted out Rythian, Lewis would have won automatically. That was an incredibly smart play from Zylus.
To add to this, Lewis really couldn’t win without Rythian voted out. He has to kill someone after this, I think, but he’s now in a position where no matter who dies it’s almost impossible to win. If he killed Rythian, it automatically becomes Lewis as the main suspect because Kristy is vouched for by the dead Rythian and Zylus has zero suspicion. If he kills Zylus, he has to bank on Kirsty not figuring out its him over Rythian which is the easiest outcome. And if he kills Kirsty, that leaves two people suspect but Zylus seemed to be leaning away from Rythian toward the end. It’s practically a no win scenario on paper, but this is the Yogscast, so logic and reason can get iffy real quick.
His biggest mistake was not adding the things he said and just add tons of waste instead.

I loved the Dread Hunger vids. Love all the interesting ways the traitors could mess with success in that.

I wanted Lewis to win so bad, but him dying to the medkit via revenge attempt was the funniest thing ever. Please play this game again!

thats the most obvious suspicious coincidental thing ever and yet no one assumed it was lewis?
They all did, he even said "Oh, thank you guys." after they chose to ignore it.
Lewis secretly has very high charisma. He mostly uses this to convince everyone he has really low charisma.
The bit that I think gave it away even more is the way he read out the UI label "add waste card" which I think was specific enough for people relatively new to the game that youd only remember it if you could see it in front of you. If you were explaining the game from memory youd be more likely to say "There should be a button to add waste on the side"
Well it would make sense that if anyone else was to add waste they would do it right after lewis pointed it out
He also went into detail about where it was and how to do it and then someone just HAPPENED to add one in while he was explaining. I genuinely thought it was one of those times when the traitor was SO obvious that everyone just pretended to ignore it (like they do in TTT sometimes). Lewis even says "thank you" while everyone is laughing it off.
Lewis is being very honorable (and sneaky) by explaining the saboteur role as the saboteur!
just because rythian is sabotaging, does not mean he is a saboteur! and just because he betrays, doesnt mean he is a traitor!
The first game and it is decided with an RDM. The Yogscast guarantee.

You say RDM, but tbh I think it was a very good play from Zylus. He realises that either Kirsty or Lewis are lying about what they put on the fire, making one of those two the traitors. Lewis nearly gets the Rythian vote through which would have won him the game. If Zylus waits and doesn't use the medkit then Lewis kills someone that night - probably Zylus himself, so Zylus takes the 1/3 chance!
I blame the fentanyl laced Medkit
Let's analyze the mistakes Rythian made here as a good guy in their first game
> He had fruits and other food + wasn't hungry, however still took food from the fire anyways
> As was said Ad Nauseum, he went to Kirsty's area and foraged there when he was told to stay at the forest
> He also crafted boots, which required plants, plants they needed to pass the night test.
Past that which was all at the very start, he did kinda alright
But he got really paranoid

I don't understand why the "odd mushrooms" force -1 hunger when found food is not auto-consumed... Like, I would assume that the in-game occurrence is that the "odd mushroom" is affecting the character because they ate it, right? Not just that they walked past it or even touched it...
Maybe something other than a mushroom would make more sense?
I mean, not necessarily. A lot of mushrooms have some form of spores that can easily harm humans.
Rythian messing up the plan, eating all the food and then saying "we were so unlucky~! not at all my faaault~!"

I could swear I've played a board game that's basically just this.
I know there's that one where you have to collect water/food/wood and build rafts to escape, with water collection being affected by weather. But I feel like there was another board game even more similar to this game.

this was good fun, I've missed genuine deductive traitor games on the channel
The game seems great so far. Maybe I haven't seen enough of it yet, but I think if the dev expanded out and added more complexity to the tactics it could be very special. Perhaps some other random variables per game to make it a bit more replayable? Still, great concept!

The medkit kill reminded me of the one ttt randomat where lewis just killed zylus with the detonator and won the round as soon as it started.

Lewis learns how to play a game. Invites his friends to play and kill. Toys with them. And fails to the “first time playing a game luck” rearranged his plans.
The ending of this is just PEAK Yogscast

I think Lewis played excellently, almost
He accidently hard-cleared Rythian twice (once by making a totem when Rythian and Zylus were together, a second time by lieing about putting a plant when Rythian didn't claim any plants). Those were both big mistakes.

Like if the other players arent sure who it is, then you can just pile on waste cards?
I think the traitor has a limited number of traitor points each day and adding a waste card costs a point
Look at the base of the candles 16:58 it gives the saboteur a number of actions.

Most undeserved win I've ever seen. Rythian could not have played worse Lewis' pity early on saved him but rythian looked so suspicious
Lewis literally lost because he outplayed his hand. If he hadn't put in two sand, he wouldn't have gotten Zylus' attention.
And that's not even getting into the more subtle ones like him literally reading the traitor button, him tossing the first waste in AS he explains it, the totem that was the only one who could have done, and every single bad thing happening JUST after he explains it.
Lewis is the easiest traitor to spot because it's the ONLY time he knows what's happening.
Rythian, to his credit, did only make one mistake. It was a significant mistake, but that mistake was RNG rather than anything that could have been planned.
I actually thought this was great. But it might just be the honeymoon phase of people not knowing the mechanics well enough
