I have loved Hornsby for a long time. Since the first radio hits. Since seeing him live in 1993. Since seeing him live every year from then to now. Since he gets more masterful with every passing year and each new project. He's not just a musician and performer, the man is a virtuoso. The man is a magician!!

Hands down the best ever version and arrangement of this song ever. I've lost count of how many times I've watched this clip now. Alas sadly, I will probably never get to see Bruce and his awesome band play live.

Why not? In the meantime maybe this will pass the time. It is a heartbreakingly beautiful melee with End of Innocence: th-cam.com/video/xcZzwnUn_Ts/w-d-xo.html

I've been a huge fan of BH since he came on the scene in the late 80's. This is just brilliant.

Unreal. From 5:50 to 7:56, he's quoting a Keith Jarrett improvisation, "Kyoto, November 5, 1976, Part 1" from the Sun Bear Concerts. It's also known from some bootlegs as "Song of the Heart" (namely, Keith Jarrett European Quartet - 1977-11-20 - Frankfurt, Germany)

This song feels important, still. Maybe it's just me. What a lovely performance.

If anything, it’s more important and meaningful than EVER! How can it not? Think about it!! 🙁

Hornsby is an absolute master! Is the song "important"? I don't think like that, just feel. It touches something inside and that in itself is amazing.

Don Henley sang it, but it was always clearly a Hornsby tune.
