Thanks for the videos! Does Google ranks better the homepage than the landing pages? If the home page speaks about all the services, and the services are like in a category ?
The only real advantage a homepage has is that it tends to be the single most linked to page on a site. The services can and should be thought of as individual landing pages, with proper SEO signals so each can rank. Cheers!
If I want to make landing pages for a service for different towns and cities, can the landing page be a template that just has the names of the towns and cities changed around? Or would Google classify this as duplicate content?
Wes, great tips! May I host 3 landing pages for each of my 3 avatars in my website? Should them be sub-pages under a more generic homepage? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your really helpful video, I have some questions Do you put links to other landing pages or home page in each landing page? Why? Would it become a distraction for the landing page? Do I need seperated landing pages for each different targeted customers on the same service/product? I notice that each group of customer might has a specific reason that strongly influence them to buy the same product or service. Where can I put all the landing page links on the overall website or home page?
Hi Wes, when you say a « single CTA », do you mean just the one button, or just one type of button? Eg, a « request quote » button 2 or 3 (or more?) times on a landing page
Please do more videos about this strategy. Coz once the the client is in the landing page, what it's the next step ? In case the client wants to navigate in the site ?
This was really great content Wes! Thank you! One thing you didn't address is how do you get people to find these landing pages, other than regular SEO? Most people get directed to your home page and may never actually find your specific landing page for the specific focused page. Ideas? Thanks!
Thank you very much for this. Im in nutraceutical in europe and we carry a lot of products and marketed throughout european countries and territories. I will: .rearrange pages highlighting only a single product or set of products that does the same thing like one page for hair loss, 1 page for muscle gain or knee pain relief. One product is offered to different countries and so i may need to do copies in specific lingua franca per country per page. This is to mirror your example in video, ie, putting various expert offering in its own category or specialism. .include button that leads towards call center ordering hotline or through paypal . install squeeze page or instapage, lander o prelander .chatbot (manychat or conversiobot) .fb pixel per page or product .come up with great offer in exchange for their name and email .do keyword and hashtag research and add/replace ones that are being used right now .url shorten each address of sales page .write seo-optimized content in many different european languages
So all your saying in this video is don't focus your organic keywords on your home page. What you are describing aren't even langing pages technically.
This video was actually the clearest distinction between a homepage and a landing page due to your example. Good stuff.
Thanks Andy, hope it helped!

Will do Priscila! But you generally want to give most of the info they need right on the landing page.

Hey Karen, it can either be through google searches, or social media ads (facebook, instagram, youtube, etc)
How many words should you have on a page to rank in search engines
IT really depends on your competition level, but typically over 2K words is best for SEO.
so how many landing pages should i build?
How long is a piece of string? It depends on what you need!

A landing page is any page a visitor LANDS on when they get to your site. And yes, that's all I'm saying, but it's worth saying, and good advice.
