I read almost all so-called holy books and many philosophers. But, after reading and listening to J. Krishnamurti, I have found the right way to live my life. Now, I don’t need to read about any religion or philosophy.
That is the process of bearing a new being, full of attention and energy ; the past is not a part of it ; indeed, it will die here. Thanks a lot for the video.
I don’t think this is at all accurate. Krishnamurti responded quite humanly in his conversations with all types of people. In this case it may be that he felt that Pupul Jayakar - with whom he had talked for several decades by this time, and who was also a close friend - had not taken in the point he was making; or his gesture may have simply been a way of taking stock in light of the new consideration raised by her (her question was about the relationship between the germ of truth and the physical brain 🧠), which he then went onto reply to. It is often our own prejudices that we project in these situations, so one has to be careful when interpreting the physical reactions of people we do not know.
there are more than 200 podcasts, is there any on "me" / "ego" can you give the link, and if it is not available its my kind humble request to make one. i hope you will give regard. thank you
When there is a challenging situation person's life, the mind of the person is creating stories, illusions, distracting person from the reality, because reality is painful. When a son dies, the brain puts you in sad stories and thoughts of the past or you may start dreaming how beautiful days you could spend spend with your child. But JK invites you to stay in thr moment, watch and abe aware of this negative thought process and eventually, although your pain stays there you plant a seed of awareness in your brain. Although you feel the pain and the sadness, you can still function your life while staying in the moment and not allowing yourself get lost in the stories your brain offers to you
@@gc7304 thanks for taken your time to explain to me..i understood what you are saying.but what he mean by "truth is the germ".how it is relating with what he explained in this video. Does germ of truth means one should be staying in the moment and aware of one's thought.
@@selvam5788 my interpretation is that when one comes across an insight, wether randomly/through discussion/meditation and one realizes that particular insight is true/the truth, then that insight becomes like a germ or seed in the brain, and from that point onwards the brain is changed. So even days after having that insight, in your normal life, while you are busy with your day to day responsibilities/jobs/etc, that truth/insight stays with you and changes a part of you/brain fundamentally. So for example, like JK said lets say your son died and you are suffering (due to memory) in addition to the natural biological response of grief, and you just want to drink away the pain or kill yourself (since you never thought about these topics or ever came across JK). And that night your friend comes over and you both have a hour long deep respectful discussion into memory, awareness, biological conditioning etc. And lets say you become convinced that what your friend said is truth since while he was talking something clicked and you finally got the concept of memory/time/conditioning and how they are all interlinked. So after that night/discussion your brain now is ever changed since it has a seed of truth. So the next time, say when your daughter dies, your reaction will be completely different. Yes you will cry and shake since your body does that things naturally (grief process), but you will be aware of it, and maybe not suffer because of the insights you have had during the period of your son's death. Your perception is ever changed. For example, one insight could be that you now see and know the separation between awareness and thoughts, not just philosophically but experientially. So after having this insight your life is changed forever. So the next time you lose a job/family member the way you deal/react to it will be completely different. Germ is essentially used as a metaphor here or as an analogy. Essentially to explain how your brain is transformed by that insight. Obviously he doesnt mean an actual germ like the covid virus. Also, the insight can be anything. Like one insight could be seeing how one is actually the world, or seeing that in everyone there is a hitler, jesus, gandhi, etc.

We do have an episode on the self scheduled for next year. For now, you may want to see episode 89, on individuality, and episode 170, on selfishness.
