Hillbro I also have a YXZ with the Weller/RPM kit and fireball long travel. I just finished building the motor a few weeks back and I’m running 12psi on pump fuel. What fuel are you guys running? Are you still using the PowerCommander to tune? Stock cams? I’m from Eastern Idaho, living in Washington now. I’d love to meet up and ride with you guys. Are you guys doing UTV Invasion this year?
Josh Hagen. We are running 50/50 110 and 91. We are using the dyno jet tune and yes stock cams. We are going to try to do UTV Invasions but we have a major building project set to complete about that time and Haydays we have to pack and prep for just days after invasions. We would love to ride with you guys.
If your asking turbo vs supercharger I say turbo. Super chargers are good off the line... sometimes. A properly tuned turbo has good bottom end and much longer legs. The YXZ you can always shift so the RPMs are always working on the turbo.
So what was the actual hp stock and with the small performance mods - rather than just the 4 hp gain? Hard to find actual stock wheel hp numbers for the YXZ...
No. It was just the right time to get my money back out of it and we move through machines pretty fast with our business and are constantly needing to test and develop on new machines. To tell you the truth though, as of now and for what we like to do the X3 out of the box is still my favorite machine. The others you can make super fun but it takes modifying them a bit to get them to even compete with the X3.
How does your Weller kit make 220hp to the tires? My brothers car is built the same way, tuned by Weller, @14-15psi makes about 190-200whp. What else is done to yours?
HillBro same as yours, 10.5:1. The engine was built by Weller, and tuned by Weller... just trying to figure out how you’re making 20-30hp more at the tires... what dyno are you using?
That orange yxz is how they should come from the factory it would be baddest sxs on the market.

We are at about 5000 feet. We got 88 HP to the wheel stock.

We were not able to develop a kit for it. XceleratedG was the one doing the kit for it.

It was a smoother curve and and +2 HP so a total of +6HP over stock together
