I know you guys have seemed to like the fishing videos in the past so i'm trying to film more of them! Let me know what you thought about this and give me recommendations for future videos.
This is one dangerous ass job. Having to stand in there with ice and water splashing in. I work construction this is wayyyy more sketchy. Respect to you guys.
Very cool seeing this video. I work at UniSea in the Cod plant and see this boat in all the time. Beautiful boat and very cool seeing it at work. Appreciate the vid
Found you from your sister's channel and have been watching you for a while. This is a great video and loved seeing how you work. Would love to see more of these videos. Keep up the great work! 💯
Pelagic fisherman from Ireland here. Interesting to see how yous guys fish but I noticed your boats a very old style design, no hate just wondering how come yous don't build more modern vessels?
Just subscribed. I have an opportunity to be a deck hand on a boat this season. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it. Ya know seasickness, anxiety, maybe a little claustrophobic. Just the feeling of not having control I suppose. Any words of advice from experienced fisherman? I still have a chance to say no and I wouldnt want to waste anybodies time by going up and working a week and freaking out haha... The captain and I are meeting up Monday to discuss things and that might put some of my worries at ease. I feel like I need the challenge and would be proud of myself if I stick it out and work hard. It's also only 3 months so it's not that bad. but man I just can't shake this feeling of anxiety can't even really put my finger on what I am worried about.. maybe I just need to sack up hahaha.
How do you get into this line of work? Serious question. I've been considering doing this for years. I'm 29, healthy & fit. Work hard. I have nothing keeping me in florida. I'd love to spend half the year at sea.
I am interested and hope to join as a fishing fisherman because it corresponds to my work experience as an international fisherman for more than 10 years. pacing boat or net boat. can you help me get the job thank you...
I’m from Washington. Seattle is my nearest airport. I’ve wanted to get into commercial fishing have no experience im 19 and can pass a drug test. Have any tips ? I’m open to travel
99% of inshore fisherman have either grown up doing it or atleast know people in the industry. But like it would be easy enough to go down to an unloading or loading ward and ask people if they know anyone looking for a deckhand. And for the offshore industry I’m not as sure but I’d say it’s much the same but a good chunk of those people will be factoring ur workers rather than fisherman so it’s easier to get a job on those boats
Also inshore means within 100 nautical miles of land which is roughly 180 kms and is made up by smaller boats with crews of around 2-5 on average. Offshore is past the 100 nautical mile mark and is made up by the big factory trawlers with massive crews of like 100 people and they stay out at sea for 3 months at a time
Found you on Instagram. Can't wait to binge watch!

How does one get a job for a commercial fishing job
Any advice for finding work like this?
Do you need mmc and Twic for this? Looking to broaden my career a little. Have my Twic, but still working on mmc.
How do you get into this line of work? Serious question. I've been considering doing this for years. I'm 29, healthy & fit. Work hard. I have nothing keeping me in florida. I'd love to spend half the year at sea.
Have you ever got the props tangled up? And how do you deal with that out there?
Never happened to us. I’ve heard of it happening and boats need to get towed in and have a diver fix it
Found you on TikTok
Awesome! Thanks for checking the video out
Draggers are wiping out the halibut fishery
I wanna do this for a job but I live very far away idk how to get into it I don’t wanna end up on a huge trawler with 20 or more crew
From tik tok!
Do you recommend people get into commercial fishing in 2024? I’m thinking about it
Got any tips to kill sea-sickness? Great stuff!
The only thing I’ve done to help is take bonine. It’s a motion sickness pill but It’s nice because it doesn’t make me drowsy
Smoke a joint
Upload more of these!
I will! I’ll try to have another up in a week or so might be a little longer. Tough to film up here but I’ll do my best
How many hours is a full days work on average?
How would you apply to work on one of these boats
U found a flight from Seattle to Dutch harbor??looks like direct to🤣🤣🤣. U are a master at buying tickets ( being sarcastic)
hahahah I wish it was just easier to edit it that way 😂
Best tip i can give, use listorine or even cheap dollar store mouth wash to wash your hands and arms, fish smell goes away instantly!
