What made Freddy so incredibly scary was how accurate the movies interpret dreams into nightmares out nowhere. Like the host becoming so angry and aggressive. Then boom horror. I’ve had dreams exactly like this. Dreams are truly fascinating and horrifying because we have no control in a world that isn’t even real.
Favorite Freddy line. This is just when he started the comedic approach in the movies. Then things started to get a little corny, but I still love the whole series. :D

I don't give a toss as to what the consensus is. Freddy's Revenge, in my opinion, is an infinitely more coherent, tonally consistent and overall more satisfying film than Dream Warriors. It has its missteps (the exploding bird, for one), but they are few and far between. And I'm aghast as to how you'd think that people being able to control their dream avatars (which the characters completely fail at doing, by the way, ruining the conceit of the whole climax) is in any way more creative than a demonic figure possessing a young man through his dreams and trying to return to reality through him.
Anyways. I still don't get what your point was about Freddy appearing on TV.

What made Freddy so incredibly scary was how accurate the movies interpret dreams into nightmares out nowhere. Like the host becoming so angry and aggressive. Then boom horror. I’ve had dreams exactly like this. Dreams are truly fascinating and horrifying because we have no control in a world that isn’t even real.
