Man I’ve been locked up. I used to be quite wild with the substance abuse. When you go in, wherever it is, you officially become less than human. At one point I was fully convinced that animals in the clinic are treated better than life on the inside. Clean and sober now for 6 years and 3 months. Got out of prison in 2019. It’s something that changed me like forever. Forever. She nails it. Brutal.
This episode was another masterpiece in storytelling. I can’t remember the last time that I so wanted an actor to win an Emmy. Cristin Miloti is brilliant. Is it crazy that if she ends up killing his mom that I may not be mad about it?
Summer Gleason from Batman: The Animated Series and Sofia Falcone's arc with her going through what she went through in Arkham Asylum is just crazy. It had that Luke Cage feel to it with her trying to prove her innocence in front of Julian Rush and he realizes she is innocent and cares for her.
Also we got to see the same actor who portrayed Kinsey in The Batman return in this episode appearing in Sofia Falcone's flashback. Sticking to continuity so perfectly. Also the whole Club 44 below the Iceberg Lounge and how all the women died under the hands of Carmine Falcone being revisited during the events of The Batman is explained so well.
Those final moments I was on the edge of my seat just trying to figure out how Sofia was gonna kill them…and was like “YES, GIRL…GET YOUR REVENGE!!!” (In that yellow dress at that..Sofia has arrived)😅🤭
Penguin also said earlier in the show one of the guys he drove for got caught talking to the feds and falcone killed him. Maybe he was trying to save her in his own way and it backfired massively.
I heard the name "Summer Gleeson," and I went "The reporter from Batman the Animated Series?! Nice." The majority of folks on twitter were saying "Just give Milioti the Emmy already," after watching *this* episode. Mark Strong did a good job in replacing John Turturro. Watching "The Batman" again, you understand *why* Riddler and Catwoman hate Carmine Falcone so much.
But did he really though? If he truly cared, he should have just kept his mouth shut and not said anything. But he didn’t. Penguin didn’t stay in his lane and he’s one of the reasons why she got locked away in the first place. Granted…. he may have not known what was gonna happen but again, it wouldn’t had been necessary if he didn’t snitch to Sophia’s father in the first place. Was Sophia a bit mean or harsh towards Oz? Oh yeah. I don’t deny that. But his actions isn’t an excuse. He was too ambitious for his own good.
I agree for the most part. He wanted to hurt her back after she called him just the driver. But I agree he never expected it to be taken so far, though he does not care about her.
@@rodgill9376Are you daft? He works for her father, who would kill him without hesitation if Oz kept this a secret. She literally told him he was worthless. Why would he confide with her? She just established that there was nothing between them.
@@blackmanwithcomputer she never said he was “worthless.” She said: “you’re just the driver.” Which that’s what he was. He told on her because he got his little feelings hurt and/or was too ambitious as I’ve already pointed out. Regardless of what was said, Oz is still a snitch. No different from his boss, whom do I need need to remind you was also a snitch as well? Takes a snitch to know a snitch, now doesn’t it?
@@rodgill9376 She said no one cares what he has to say. That he's only her driver. That's dehumanizing, and it severely clashed with her being nice to him earlier. To him, this was just her revealing how she actually sees him. Regardless, why should he protect her? He's just the driver, remember? She's not his friend. She made that very clear. If he kept this from Carmine, and Carmine found out, he's a dead man. Carmine was his boss, remember?
I’m surprised you guys didn’t catch on to falcone rather then it being Sofia. In the Batman he was strangling women he killed Selina’s mother and her friend. It’s been pretty obvious to me that it was always falcone who was the hangman haha.
Was baffled not seeing John Turturro return as Falcone Sr, but holy shit was I equally joyful to quickly recognize Mark Strong. I’ve absolutely loved him in everything I’ve seen him in, as he is criminally underrated. To me both are amazing choices for the role, but it’s frustrating trying to be content with only one of them taking it now that there’s been a switch
I love Alberto and Sofia’s sibling relationship; u can tell why Alberto’s death really really affected her; He had his problems, but he really cares for his sister; and the fact that he kept working with her for the new drug while she was still in Arkham; he didn’t take advantage of the situation, he loved her and wanted to cut her in; Just really nice writing 😢
Good grief just give Cristin Milioti the Emmy!!! I was shrieking in how disturbing this episode was. This is how you do a flashback episode. Not a waisted line of dialogue or frames. Ahhh it's just incredible!!!!
I mean its hyper stylized but also real ASF... they're constantly locking up sane people in asylums and jails and its EXTREMELY brutal how we treat criminals and crazies
Mark Strong was solid and definitely fits the classic comic book mobster role better, but I love the against the grain casting of Turturro in the movie, he felt so much slimier. Can't go wrong either way.
The head of Arkham Dr. Ventriss later becomes Mirror man and I’m not sure but didn’t Magpie kill her mother in the comics before she became a villain? 🤔 so many great Easter eggs.
this episode shows how no matter how much bad things Oz do to these people they all deserve it, Sofia isn't any better than her family, and Alberto definitely had it coming
This episode also shows how Oz can never be trusted and will turn on ANYONE in order to serve his own interests. I was sympathetic to Oz until this episode. Now I want to see him fall and Sofia rise (wishful thinking)@@youssefheisenberg6410
Alberto deserved to DIE because he made Oz feel bad? What did Sofia do to “deserve” being locked away in Arkham for 10 years after being framed by her FATHER for crimes HE committed. Her father even murdered HER MOTHER.@@youssefheisenberg6410
I was wondering how they'd make Oz back into a villain after we've been following and rooting for him the entire series, but this gives us two/three paths forward. He'll kill one of either Vic or Sofia, or both.
Peguin is such a good series so far, especially with their characterizations. Like Penguin always does something dirty when someone disrespects him. The reason he betrayed Sophia is because she called him nothing but a driver and didn't care about his opinion. Those small details are so good to drive a series.
i'm not a big fan of the "insane asylum" cliches and it's a little tonally off for this show, but i thought this was hands down the best performance of the season so far for sure.
My favorite episode yet and give her all the awards and I've never said about a actress or actor before in all of my 26 years of watching movies and tv.
That site seems like it’s always an outlier when it comes to reviews. Like, when it comes to a show or film that both critics and audiences collectively agree is amazing, they have to give it an average or below average rating.
I know this is a futile wish given The Penguin’s core position in Batman’s Rogue Gallery but in a perfect world, Sofia would exact ultimate and final vengeance on Oz for ratting her out to Carmine and killing Alberto. This episode made me do a complete 180 on Oz - especially seeing him turn on Sofia in front of the Maronis. Oz is the ultimate betrayer.
At the very least, he never expected the Arkham Asylum to happen. We’ve seen what happens when people hurt his ego, he hurts them back. He ratted her out though honestly I don’t think he ever knew how far it would be taken.
First he had no idea about the murders or what was going on in the family. He just knew about the reporter. Alberto insulted him, fair play. Oz being a backstabber shouldn't come as a shock. He is exactly that. That is what makes him such a unique protagonist. He is no Michael Corleone, he is Salvatore Tessio if Sal was wayy smarter.
Hes a survivalist...Whilst Sophia murdered a woman out of anger...the point is there are no good guys but Penguin is the lesser of these two but neither is a Saint and Oz did what lots of people would have done in that situation
i think its also so good that we probably were all feining to see what happened with vic and Oz after last episode and they just throw this at us and we still love it
Man those first 30+ minutes were rough. I get so sad watching people get abused emotionally and physically. But the PAYOFF! My lord this show is great!
Definitely the best episode yet. By the 14 minute mark, I had a feeling she was going to get framed by her father and it happened. Once I saw the police while she was talking to Oz, I knew she was screwed. Sofia was innocent all along. Less blood on her hands than Oz. It’s similar to The Count of Monte Cristo where Dante gets framed for no reason and then a little bit of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in trying to make her go crazy in an asylum when she isn’t. I initially thought Magpie was Harley. I’m glad she got her payback against all her relatives who betrayed her. She wasted 10 years of life for nothing. Mark Strong did a good job but his Carmine Falcone felt a little too quiet and reserved compared to John Turturro’s version. Great ending song: “Strange Little Girl” by The Stranglers. Good show! Way better than Agatha All Along which I gave up on after Ep. 3. Cristin in that hot dress showing plenty of cleavage. She and Colin are the best parts to this show. 9/10 👍🏻
this episode. this episode was just ... satisfying and suffocating at the same time. it was deliciously dark and i HONESTLY was so happy when she walked in with that gas mask on [and the choice of track was inspired]. i too hope she doesn't die. i'd love if [let's say the Maroni's are taken out], the city teeters constantly between Sophia's crew and Oswald's crew. and weirdly enough - just for giggles - i would NOT be mad if Dr. Julian Rush becomes this world's Scarecrow.
Protect Sofia at all costs. Blown away by Miloti since HIMYM and she transcends here. The empathy I feel for her on what she went through. I look at Penguin differently. Family got what they deserve. Falcone was down right monster and didn’t get enough suffering before and while he died from a single gun shot wound. Shame she needed Vito(sp?). Deserved it more than most.
When Sophia sees Oz and says "what are you doing inside?" There's no vitriol or malice in her voice so I disagree entirely that she's talking to him,"like a dog." He's a driver, the drivers, in every mob or crime show/film ever made are always hanging out front by the cars. That's where they stay, by their cars. She was surprised that Oz was inside because it's entirely out of the ordinary and that obviously means something is amiss. That's all she's saying. Her momentary flash of anger at him when she's stressed about her dad didn't mark a change in her overall feelings for Oz, she was just pissed off about the reporter/her dad.
1000% agree. We have all had bad days, and lashed out to people we cared about. She treated Oz pretty well when everyone else was too busy making fun of him or calling him penguin. He was probably inside because he got a 'promotion' for being a rat. thats why the new jacket. When sofia said it looks good on you, and then walked into see her father, my gut flipped
I wanted to say props to how amazing Cristina millioti is in this role and also comment how much her storyline in this show reminds me of the warren white storyline in a serious house on a serious earth. Its one of the most intriguing gotham storys imo opinion and I'm thrilled that even if we're unlikely to ever get warren white himself in live action that the story of the "new fish" being driven insane is still a story that gets told in some form
I am vexed that Carmine never was held accountable for what he did to Sofia or to her mother or to all the women, for that matter. He got killed by someone who only cared about himself. Not that I am support murder. Just saying. Riddler took him out but was it really justice? I totally predicted that the trial will be cancelled. Why would they imprison her and traumatise her? Either that, or they were trying to make her crazy so that when the trial comes, she claims the blame herself. The fact that she endured the torture without giving in probably was the reason why the trial was cancelled.
Arkham Asylum needs to be condemned, and all the doctors (besides Rush) need to be locked up for life. I’ve seen Arkham Asylum in countless adaptations of movies, TV shows, video games and comics. But this is without question the darkest and most horrific version of Arkham ever made. It’s places like that that give countless people pause whenever they think of people who have been in mental hospitals or had mental health problems.
im not willing to give Rush a pass yet, dude seems like he has an agenda. be it romantic, or psychotic. We dont know if he got her out willingly. Might never find out.
Dude, is it just me or was it really obvious that she was framed. With her line to penguin last episode “I’m the hangman” and her reaction to the mom pulling her kid away from her. Ofc she was innocent. She did such a great job in conveying that
Penguin said to Vic not to believe everything he read in the papers about Sofia, so they'd been making it clear for a while that she wasn't her reputation.
Really obvious, but the nature of who blames whom for what that amounts to Sofia’s indictment/remanding to Arkham is the show, ESPECIALLY since her portrayal in the first (3) hours of the show, while disturbed, isn’t consistent with a serial perpetrator of lethal hangings regardless of what Gotham thinks We as the audience are shown a much more put together, psychologically composed character than the person carrying everyone’s projection of her
She and Oz had a literal conversation explaining that she was framed in the previous episode. I don't understand why it's being taken as a surprise at all.
How brilliant of Matt Reeves and the writers and producers to give the Penquin an antagonist that has more depth and character development than any other villian we've seen since Thanos.
Now, THIS is peak DC. Peak casting, peak directing, peak everything. And Cristin Milioti absolutely deserves all the awards, such a huge range. It's going to tear us apart the war between her and Penguin, I'm sure we're not ready. We're watching villains only the Batman universe could give us. I'm so happy we get to have that kind of show.
That’s what so great about character of Sofia. She’s not just “innocent girl who turned into bad person”, she’s still a daughter of mob boss, who betrayed by her own family. It’s villain vs villain story through and through. I love it.
Theres not many TV shows thats named after the signature character, that gives as much back story to a side character as they did in this one episode, its beautifully done, they didnt hold back either they made it feel raw. What a performance by all so far
THE PENGUIN🐧: Cristin Milioti is a masterful actress. An intense fourth episode in this journey of Oz in the decadent Gotham City of the Batverse🦇 by Matt Reeves. (DC/HBO/MAX)
I just can't believe I am excitedly waiting for the next week after each episode. It has been so many years since the last time I was like this. Simply amazing.
I never expected this show to be as good as it is. I had hopes but really didnt believe it. Ive just watched this episode and it is LITERALLY one of the best episodes on TV ever
Actually someone had to Rat her out before Oz went to Carmine. The reporter was strangled and Hung and it was done the same night Oz met with Carmine likely hours before.
Not saying he didn't go to Carmine and tell him but setting up another Hanging and getting Sophia framed would take more time than the minutes she spent talking to Carmine.@@Insertmewtwoquote
He likely went to tell Carmine but from the timeline things happened too fast. Summer died the police found her hung and Sophia was blamed only a half an hour later.@@Insertmewtwoquote
I have a feeling, that her brother had to do something with those killings of all those woman. Maybe he did it. And I think, Penguin knows this. I think Sofia and the Pinguin will be friends again. ( I hope so )
Drivers wait with the car. Like Vic wouldn't be inside when Oz comes to the house. Sofia asking why he's inside is about her realizing he's not where he should be, followed by her seeing the new coat. She's realizing right then he's betrayed her.
Loving this show so much! What a showcase for Cristin Milioti who I always enjoy seeing ( from How I Met Your Mother, Wolf of Wall Street, Made for Love , Palm Springs (one of my faves) to now this amazing show). She deserves all the awards. Love the way the show was able to even weave in a literary reference to Charlotte Perkins Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper" (which is also about a woman's descent into mental instability after restrictions have been placed on her by her husband) by making her see the wallpaper in the room her mother was hanged underneath the new wall covering in her cell. Very artful/visual way of showing how her trauma from that night persists and her declining mental state due to the abuse inflicted on her in Arkham (Jeez, Arkham is so not rehabilitating anybody lol). 10 out of 10 episode in a so far 10 out of 10 series! Also, what a deep cut bringing in Summer Gleeson, the reporter character from Batman the Animated Series. I reeeeallly hope Sofia makes it to the Batman 2.
Cristin Milioti just had a showcase of an episode on The Penguin. I mean-she’s been a powerhouse all season, but the latest episode showed off how game she is for the challenge and well-suited to playing Sofia is. She took us through a quick tour of the weak and vulnerable Sofia all the way to her transformation to the undisputed head of the Falcone crime family without one false note or wrong step into melodrama or haminess. This performance needs to be recognized come awards season.
The “oh shit” moment I had when it was revealed Carmine killed those women and my mind instantly shot back to The Batman and how he killed Selina’s mom who also worked at the club and tried to kill Selina the same way. Such a cool reveal that links the movie and the show
Parallels to The Batman between the Mayor and Bruce Wayne with Summer Gleeson talking to Sofia Falcone: "But if you don't mind me saying, you could be doing more for the city." Summer Gleeson "You know, you really could be doing more for the city." The Mayor of Gotham City "I have been following your work with the foundation." Summer Gleeson "If I'm elected, I want to change that." The Mayor of Gotham City.
Idk if it was intentional but I love the yellow wallpaper detail bc it brings to mind Charlotte Perkins Gilmans The Yellow Wallpaper in which a woman is diagnosed w hysteria and locked up until she actually loses her mind

I love the way this episode re-contextualizes the previous ones, looking forward to where they take it from here!
1000%
When penguin told the kid "Don't believe everything" when the kid called her hangman I knew she was innocent from that moment
Plus, she did say she wasn't the Hangman in the last episode, and Oz didn't disagree.
What episode did he say that in? I forget
@@austincaucci the episode when she came by Ozz's apartment and vic invited his girlfriend over
Carmine was strangling catwoman the same way and got scratched by her too
He also killed Selina’s mother the same way, he tells her that as he’s trying to kill her
Also we got to see the same actor who portrayed Kinsey in The Batman return in this episode appearing in Sofia Falcone's flashback. Sticking to continuity so perfectly. Also the whole Club 44 below the Iceberg Lounge and how all the women died under the hands of Carmine Falcone being revisited during the events of The Batman is explained so well.
Yup! Always enjoy your enthusiasm
Just give her and Ferrell the Emmy it’s over
Sofia Falcone has finally persuaded her hangman persona on another level
Those final moments I was on the edge of my seat just trying to figure out how Sofia was gonna kill them…and was like “YES, GIRL…GET YOUR REVENGE!!!” (In that yellow dress at that..Sofia has arrived)😅🤭
Penguin also said earlier in the show one of the guys he drove for got caught talking to the feds and falcone killed him. Maybe he was trying to save her in his own way and it backfired massively.
Yh and since it was his kid he was just expecting her to be sent out of the country at worst
@@codycharles6316 I think he was talking about Sofia and changing some details.
kenzie was the one with the broken nose in the movie
Bro this show is so good. So good that I’m gonna draw all the characters! I’ve already drawn the penguin so far
Thats so cool! Are you gonna post it somewhere?
@@Villakeen thanks! My penguin drawing is on my TH-cam channel, it’s a short video
Mark Strong is a great choice because, he was a younger version of the Turturro Falcone as an older, more seasoned mob boss.
I heard the name "Summer Gleeson," and I went "The reporter from Batman the Animated Series?! Nice."
The majority of folks on twitter were saying "Just give Milioti the Emmy already," after watching *this* episode.
Mark Strong did a good job in replacing John Turturro.
Watching "The Batman" again, you understand *why* Riddler and Catwoman hate Carmine Falcone so much.
Penguin did care about her he was genuinely surprised the police showed up. She started treating him badly as soon as he tried to warn her.
Mark Strong has a stronger presence.
@@JoJoJokerfacts! Nothing against Turturro as he did a good job , but Strong just had THAT AURA that conveyed intimidation
@@JoJoJoker Agreed. Strong is simply “holy shit it’s Carmine Fucking Falcone,” as opposed to “it’s Carmine Falcone”
Strong as Archie in “Rock’N’Rolla”. Favorite role of his.
Don't recall anyone ever underrating Mark Strong.
She acted hers and everyone elses ass off. So compelling to watch. Im in awe of her talent. Shes a badass. Favourite character for sure ❤
A moment of silence for Summer Gleeson 😢
I love Alberto and Sofia’s sibling relationship; u can tell why Alberto’s death really really affected her;
He had his problems, but he really cares for his sister; and the fact that he kept working with her for the new drug while she was still in Arkham; he didn’t take advantage of the situation, he loved her and wanted to cut her in;
Just really nice writing 😢
she did say in the last episode that she never killed anyone, at a time when she would have no reason to lie / penguin sort of said it as well
Just got through watching this episode. The way it’s show how she got crazy is so good.
After all that yet and the person we hate the most Johnny vititi is still alive
She needs an alibi and a servant. And access the cash and codes.
I knew from last week that carmine was the real Hagman killer after mentioning killing catwomen mom with his bare hands
and also trying to kill selina the same way
This show is PHENOMENAL!!! Give HBO all the acclaim and Awards
The head of Arkham Dr. Ventriss later becomes Mirror man and I’m not sure but didn’t Magpie kill her mother in the comics before she became a villain? 🤔 so many great Easter eggs.
Is it Mirror Man or Mirror master?
Fav Episode Of The Season?!
this episode shows how no matter how much bad things Oz do to these people they all deserve it, Sofia isn't any better than her family, and Alberto definitely had it coming
@@youssefheisenberg6410This episode was literally Sofia's villain origin story, and your reaction is that she deserved it?
This episode also shows how Oz can never be trusted and will turn on ANYONE in order to serve his own interests. I was sympathetic to Oz until this episode. Now I want to see him fall and Sofia rise (wishful thinking)@@youssefheisenberg6410
Alberto deserved to DIE because he made Oz feel bad? What did Sofia do to “deserve” being locked away in Arkham for 10 years after being framed by her FATHER for crimes HE committed. Her father even murdered HER MOTHER.@@youssefheisenberg6410
Flashback episode. Lame.
I was wondering how they'd make Oz back into a villain after we've been following and rooting for him the entire series, but this gives us two/three paths forward. He'll kill one of either Vic or Sofia, or both.
Killing Sofia was a forgone conclusion. Vic is going to be his right hand man. Like what Vitti was to Luca and now to Sofia.
Peguin is such a good series so far, especially with their characterizations. Like Penguin always does something dirty when someone disrespects him. The reason he betrayed Sophia is because she called him nothing but a driver and didn't care about his opinion. Those small details are so good to drive a series.
This show truly gets better by the episode. I was amazed tonight. It’s elite cinema
i'm not a big fan of the "insane asylum" cliches and it's a little tonally off for this show, but i thought this was hands down the best performance of the season so far for sure.
My favorite episode yet and give her all the awards and I've never said about a actress or actor before in all of my 26 years of watching movies and tv.
This show deserves all the Emmys. And not to shit on IGN. But, come on a 5. That was wild.
IGN lost all credit already, they are garbage journalists with no taste or variety. They are all braindead NPCs.
Oh I was rooting for him. Now I want her to kill him.
At the very least, he never expected the Arkham Asylum to happen.
We’ve seen what happens when people hurt his ego, he hurts them back. He ratted her out though honestly I don’t think he ever knew how far it would be taken.
@@jrod1591I still gotta cheer for OZ but I hope she goes high fr
First he had no idea about the murders or what was going on in the family. He just knew about the reporter. Alberto insulted him, fair play.
Oz being a backstabber shouldn't come as a shock. He is exactly that. That is what makes him such a unique protagonist. He is no Michael Corleone, he is Salvatore Tessio if Sal was wayy smarter.
Hes a survivalist...Whilst Sophia murdered a woman out of anger...the point is there are no good guys but Penguin is the lesser of these two but neither is a Saint and Oz did what lots of people would have done in that situation
i think its also so good that we probably were all feining to see what happened with vic and Oz after last episode and they just throw this at us and we still love it
Summer Gleason is the Vickie Vale type of character on Batman the Animated Series 😂
I swear you can never trust any character Theo Rossi plays haha
What an episode! Take a bow Cristin!
26:40 also had me in stitches 😭 her face said everything
9/10 👍🏻
It just gets better every week
This the best one yet it felt like a long movie and not series. It shows how they turned her coo coo.
this episode. this episode was just ... satisfying and suffocating at the same time. it was deliciously dark and i HONESTLY was so happy when she walked in with that gas mask on [and the choice of track was inspired]. i too hope she doesn't die. i'd love if [let's say the Maroni's are taken out], the city teeters constantly between Sophia's crew and Oswald's crew. and weirdly enough - just for giggles - i would NOT be mad if Dr.
I hope, if Oz ends up on top, I hope Sofia gets away somehow. Man she is a powerhouse.
@@kbrewers 🤞🏻 SAME. She just gives it up leaves before or her half sister Selina shows up back to help her escape 👀
Just like last week, came out an hour ago and already edited it. I hail you and your editing magic! ^_^ lol
I am 1000% rooting for Sophia for the rest of the series, even more than the Penguin and it’s his show
When Sophia sees Oz and says "what are you doing inside?" There's no vitriol or malice in her voice so I disagree entirely that she's talking to him,"like a dog." He's a driver, the drivers, in every mob or crime show/film ever made are always hanging out front by the cars. That's where they stay, by their cars. She was surprised that Oz was inside because it's entirely out of the ordinary and that obviously means something is amiss. That's all she's saying.
Her momentary flash of anger at him when she's stressed about her dad didn't mark a change in her overall feelings for Oz, she was just pissed off about the reporter/her dad.
exactly
"scealing stenes" 27:45
Bro this is episode portrayed Arkham Asylum exactly the way I wanted. This was amazing!!!
Really obvious, but the nature of who blames whom for what that amounts to Sofia’s indictment/remanding to Arkham is the show, ESPECIALLY since her portrayal in the first (3) hours of the show, while disturbed, isn’t consistent with a serial perpetrator of lethal hangings regardless of what Gotham thinks
We as the audience are shown a much more put together, psychologically composed character than the person carrying everyone’s projection of her
They've been telling us that for 3 episodes tho
She and Oz had a literal conversation explaining that she was framed in the previous episode. I don't understand why it's being taken as a surprise at all.
@@bastien- plus her dad being known strangulation murderer from the Batman. How did everyone not know o was him not her? 🤣
This episode is very messed up!
The ending... holy crap!!😮
THE PENGUIN🐧: Cristin Milioti is a masterful actress. An intense fourth episode in this journey of Oz in the decadent Gotham City of the Batverse🦇 by Matt Reeves. (DC/HBO/MAX)

Penguin himself admitted he screwed her over
Didn't penguin said on the car that he is just doing his job to protect Sofia by telling Carmine?
Ventriss needs to go if he is not gone already
Cristin Milioti just had a showcase of an episode on The Penguin. I mean-she’s been a powerhouse all season, but the latest episode showed off how game she is for the challenge and well-suited to playing Sofia is.
She took us through a quick tour of the weak and vulnerable Sofia all the way to her transformation to the undisputed head of the Falcone crime family without one false note or wrong step into melodrama or haminess.
This performance needs to be recognized come awards season.
This show gets better and better with every episode! Also, you guys’ Oz impressions have been hilarious. 😂😂😂
This show will make us hate Sofia and oz. she’s gonna kill victor for revenge mark my words.
I think Sofia will kill Oz's mother

The “oh shit” moment I had when it was revealed Carmine killed those women and my mind instantly shot back to The Batman and how he killed Selina’s mom who also worked at the club and tried to kill Selina the same way. Such a cool reveal that links the movie and the show
This episode was so good! I cannot wait for the last 4
This episode was so amazing! 👍
Parallels to The Batman between the Mayor and Bruce Wayne with Summer Gleeson talking to Sofia Falcone:
"But if you don't mind me saying, you could be doing more for the city." Summer Gleeson
"You know, you really could be doing more for the city." The Mayor of Gotham City
"I have been following your work with the foundation." Summer Gleeson
"If I'm elected, I want to change that." The Mayor of Gotham City.
Fork scene took my all the way out. So unexpected and out of left field
Sofias theme song is Monster by Meg Myers
Idk if it was intentional but I love the yellow wallpaper detail bc it brings to mind Charlotte Perkins Gilmans The Yellow Wallpaper in which a woman is diagnosed w hysteria and locked up until she actually loses her mind
