    This was well explained. Surrender is the best option when you have a 16, the dealer is showing a 10 and your gut is telling you that high cards are coming if you hit. It's best to just sacrifice half and move on to the next hand.

      Some sources say you should surrender a hand totaling fifteen against a dealer's ace when they hit soft 17, and the same can be said with a pair of eights versus an ace when the dealer hits soft 17 (in multi-deck games).

      Excellent Video! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you ever tried - Jonlijah Emotional Sourcery (do a google search)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for discovering a winning online roulette system without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my work colleague finally got cool success with it.

    your video is so true...i surrender only if i have 15 or 16 against the dealer ten up card..some guy got so mad at the table at me telling me that we are here to gamble what are you doing!..lol in the end i surrendered 6x 5 of which was the right move i would of broke..the guy who refused to surrender because it wasnt the macho thing to do lost all of his money!...i say if casino allows you to surrender do it if you have 15/16 against a ten!...goodluck

    Thank You Shawn! I thought I had my cheat chart all set (The casino I plan to visit soon has the Surrender feature and actually allows the player to have/use a cheat chart.) After watching many videos on YT for playing BJ I thought that I finally had my cheat chart all set, except for the times when I should "Surrender". I just realized that I should add the SUR in my chart, or, rather, change some from "ST" to "SUR". I am doing this to help me when I go to the casino as I have very little experience playing and don't want to have to take too much time thinking when I'm at a table. There is so much conflicting advice on YT about BJ but I have my cheat chart the way I think it should be and I'm hoping to at least break even. I have no illusions of getting rich as I have very little for a bankroll to begin with. Your advice is great. God Bless You.

    Say we were at a casino that doesnt allow surrenders but asks for insurance, is that the same basically? And on a chart would it be the same plays

    • @pokerNGold
      @pokerNGold 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not the same & never take insurance. On average the dealer will only have blackjack about 33% of the time they have an Ace up card

    Interesting take on this move in blackjack

  • @nathanpaulclark6583

    I played a strategy of surrendering often and never taking a card if it could bust me. Over three years I never left a casino with less money than i came in with. Not once.

      @averytatavitto9333 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NathanPaulClark C I mean, probability says this unlikely, unless... you count and surrender when you’re there’s running minus

    • @nathanpaulclark6583
      @nathanpaulclark6583 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@averytatavitto9333 I varied my bets too. If I was playing say a five dollar min table I would bet 5-5-5-40 . Or maybe 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-BLACK CHIP. To that effect. I couldn't lose, it was uncanny. Then one time I got drunk and lost 900$, money I couldn't afford to lose. So after three years and I figure 8 grand winnings, the magic left and I haven't played since. I WON.

    • @GaryLuKOTH
      @GaryLuKOTH 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your strategy is not a winning strategy. I doubt that you went to a casino very often in those three years because if you did, you are very likely to lose.

    • @nathanpaulclark6583
      @nathanpaulclark6583 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GaryLuKOTH Believe whatever you want. Besides, there is no "winning strategy." The house has advantage in all long term scenarios. I kept the run going with the knowledge that it wouldn't last forever. Call my run luck if you must. Soon as I lost a few bucks I abandoned gambling entirely. Peace.

    Can I surrender when dealer's upcard is an Ace or only insurance option is available?

    • @cody0126a
      @cody0126a 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The dealer always asks for insurance if an ace is showing that means you can pay half your bet thinking that the dealer had blackjack. If they don't have blackjack then you lose the insurance and still have to play your hand. The dealer always checks for blackjack before any hands are played. After which you can surrender if you want to.

      Early surrender (before dealer checks for blackjack) is a thing is some high stakes blackjack tables. Not a common rule anymore. Found at +$100 min bet tables if found at all. Also in early surrender games there are are a lot more starting hand variations that are worth surrendering.
