FSAE-A 2023: DAY 3

Here’s a recap of our third day at FSAE-A competition at Calder park!
The day marked the beginning of our dynamic events, including both skidpad and acceleration. We achieved a time of 5.34 seconds for our Skidpad event. For our acceleration event, we were thrilled with our time of 3.81 seconds, which earned us a provisional second place. We would like to congratulate Auckland FSAE Team on their incredible performance throughout the day, as they achieved an impressive time of 3.69 seconds in Acceleration and 5.02 in Skidpad, earnig themselves a provisional first place in both events.
We concluded the day with an Autonomous Vehicle demonstration of our vehicle, which saw M23 successfully completing 10 laps of a track without the assistance of a driver. This is an incredible achievement for the team, placing Monash Motorsport as the first Australasian team to successfully complete an autonomous demonstration of an integrated driven-driverless car.
With one day of our competition left, we can’t wait for our final events: AutoX and Endurance.
