I wore my cross of why through studying the Orthodox study Bible and knowing how it completely agreed with my mom's biblical Theology and philosophy. Fr Barnabas Powell, thank you for explaining why many Christians, not just Orthodox are no longer attending church. I am Roman Catholic and do my best to practice my faith and even I wondered why we do what we do. Now I understand. Poor catechesis has been the scourge of Christianity since we no longer seem to be able to pass on the faith properly and our children have no grounding in the faith. Please keep putting out these wonderful homilies! God bless!
I have this problem but I was born and raised a Roman Catholic and my mom really turned me off to Roman Catholicism. And I went to a private Catholic school but it was run by Sedevacantists.....But I'm considering Russian Orthodox but I know my family (my mother especially) would be FURIOUS.. But I've been watching your videos and your talks are getting through to me more than the talks from priests in the Catholic church ( to be honest I always nodded off during their sermons and even though there were times when I was proud to be Catholic that fuel is gone and dead and I've become really bitter and pessimistic but there seems to be something that keeps me from going completely down a dark path and I have yet to find out what that is)
