I wish I would have listened to this about a week ago... Arguing with protestants is a waist of time... until they become Orthodox, that is... LOL. Spoken word is thrown out of the window with them... even though The Church operated for hundreds of years before scripture, Jesus Christ never wrote anything down and the Apostles even admitted that they couldn't write everything down:
    John 21:24-25
24 This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

Anastasios Tsatsakis Agreed. I will typically form a dialogue between Protestants through our curiosity for one another, or if they protestant is willingly to hear the other perspective. God bless you hope Holy Week is going well for you! (I am Catholic btw. So we too have some disagreements regarding the papacy).

Lori B. I love your post. I was an evangelical from 15 to 48 and agree with your feelings on this. It’s true.

@@baoduong2203 the only problem there is between east and west is that tge west are heretics we can start with the filoque, purgatory, not giving holy communion the right way. Hopefully your waking up to the herasy of the west

Excellent homily, although you lost me at Falcons fan. I grew up in GA/TN but I never much cared for the Falcons. And my Uncle converted me pretty early (mid 80s) to a Patriots fan. Is it too soon to mention that? The only sports team I cared about as a kid was the Braves, and back then it was Dale Murphy and 8 other guys.

It's not a perfect solution, but there is a precedent for Orthodox bishops arranging to chrismate you even if you have to take Mass in a Roman Catholic parish. If not that, you could look for an Anglo-Catholic church with such ties to the Orthodox Church.
