Olive oil and grease proof paper! Scottish grannies doing angry cartwheels in their graves.

Highly doubt the Scottish traditionally used olive oil!

It was placed in a pillowslip tied leaving room for expansion then boiled

Your supposed to leave space when putting the sting on to leave room to expand plus we don't use olive oil or parchment paper.

Could you not have found a Scots cook to do this demo? Then perhaps it wouldn't have been so shite.

Just me who watched this "clits dumpling" tute with closed captions on then? 😂 And what better, to wrap your "glue tea" dumpling in, than some "greased creep" 😂😂😂

I'm Scottish, and I have never ever used grease proof paper or oil of any kind, its put on a dusted clothe or "Clootie "
plus you dont steam it you boil it !

No parchment, no olive oil...and it's too light, My family always put a bit of treacle in the dumpling to make it darker.

This is not how we do it in Scotland! Why did you ask a English woman (with obvious Asian heritage) to show foreigners how to cook a traditional Scottish dish? Let me make it simple for you! Put the cloth in boiling water, then spread it out on your surface, and dust cloth with flour, add mix, tie it up, SIMPLE!!!! Is this how Indian people feel when British people try to make Indian food! 🙄😳

Is a clothe not a cloth......

It is a cloth or as Scots would say cloot. No e at the end of cloth.
