    HW 97 K
An idea conquers the hearts of people keen on sports, youthful and young of heart. Weihrauch air rifles offer a lot of pleasure in sports. The underlever air rifle HW 97 K especially developed for field-target and silhouette, well-balanced, easy and smooth cocking. Fixed barrel system with muzzle break, equipped with the proven and world-famous match trigger "Rekord", without sights, handy and elegant stock, especially designed for scope use, high comb, checkered or stippled pistol gr

The original German name for the gun is Weihrauch HW97. Weihrauch is the developer and producer of this and other "HW"-gifles.

I spoke with a fella who is a Weihrauck expert and he says that you can expect well beyond 20,000 shots without issues from these guns. Both guns mechanically are identical the only thing that varies is the configuration of the different models ie stocks, suppressor, barrel length ect

    • @6lr6ak6
      @6lr6ak6 ปีที่แล้ว

That's only 40 tins of pellets, you won't get any issues at that, not even 100 tins, there so well made and reliable nothing goes wrong, just a spring change, that's easily done, the 97 is the best rifle Weihrauch make, I've had them all Inc Air Arms, yes 97s the way to go a 95 break barrel are lighter and are a good gun, but ya won't be winning any trophies there, some people think there a bit heavy, well go ahead and lift weights get in shape, you won't regret it as you will have the best of the best. mmm well in my opinion and many others the 97s do seem better in 177, enjoy👍

Keith Davis - The Air arms TX200 MK3 & the Beeman HW97 K are both extremely nice guns and both have 5 star ratings. The Air Arms has slightly less cocking effort, though.
    Thanks,

Forget the Beeman name, this is a Weihrauch HW 97 K made in Germany and top quality. The underlever in not made of Leather, it's made of Steel. Beeman make nothing, just slap their name on other quality products.

V Mach do a resettable safety switch you can put on it as well as their tuning kit which really does transform the rifle into springer heaven. Pity it isn't tuned from the factory like the Air Arms TX200 considering the price they charge. Although it is still a fantastic air rifle.

@rjgreat06 you're forgetting that scales of economy play a role in pricing. Each year in the US ~ 4.5 million firearms are sold but the number of airguns sold is a fraction of that.

I have read numerous comments on here, and other video sites, from fellows who seem to think, that the "bear trap" mechanism on most, if not.. All (these days) "fixed" barrel air rifles should be either "dis-engaged" or even done away with as an "inconvenience" as one "shooter" said in another post.
My response to these "air gunners" would be... apparently none of you have either (personally) experienced the breach slamming shut while trying to load a pellet, or known a friend who has had that misfortune. Not that many years back, such air guns did NOT have them.... but, now they do... and there is a very definite reason for it... and be very thankful, that your Not one of reasons that the manufacturers decided to design the "bear trap" into the guns.... it really isn't all that much "fun" trying to load pellets into a fixed barrel Air rifle, when your missing either the lower half of your thumb, or index finger.
Be Safe... and may you always hit, what your aiming at.

Just a question... I have a German springer (Diana 54 Airking) I plan to buy a better scope. Is it really bad if the scope reaches over the loading port ???
will a ( Hawke Eclipse fastmount 3-9X50 AO IR )be fine on this rifle ? will it withstand the recoil ?
I would be absolutely extremely thankful if you could help me on this.
Thanks again for the great reviews.

very nice, i have the same hw97 model. and i have a doubt, it is standar out of the box and shoots very nice but i dont like the "twang", if i tune my airgun with a vortek pg2 kit , do you think it can be a good improvment ? or should i leave with the original kit . just for hunting

Put my 2 Springer air rifles in storage cocked. Of course my first 2-3 shots were not very powerful. Question: They were stored for 9 months cocked. What do I need to do? Replace pistons or replace guns. Beeman .177, .22 (2 barrels). Benjamin trail .177. Have not shot in 2-3 years since I realized they were put up loaded. Thanks!

@2:34 Air Arms quality control is shocking. I have a theory that they only put the anti bear trap on it because it's cheaper than getting sued when the latch rod and trigger sear inevitably fail. Gun dealer told me the other day that 6 of the 12 EV2s he sold were returned for leaks. Wouldn't get that with a Steyr or a Weihrauch.

Hey paul big fan I am stuck and don't want to regret a very expensive purchase on a air rifle I mostly shoot paper target or field target. And want a tac driver out the box without tunning and am stuck on three rifles the air arms tx200 mklll or the beeman weirrach hw 98 or hw97kt elite synthetic. Just want low recoil as you can get with a springer and reliability and same hole shoots if I am capable will still be happy if the rifle is capable of these things lol. Which of these would you suggest?

@rjgreat06 I hear this a lot from friends. Fact is, it will cost about the same to produce a quality rifle regardless of what type of projectile it shoots, or what caliber it is built in. Some .22's cost more than some .30-30's. Do you consider that wrong? Some 28 gauge shotguns cost more than some 12 gauge guns. Is this wrong too? Some BMW's cost more than some Ford pickups, even though the damn BMW can't haul a ton of gravel. Is that wrong? Quality costs what it takes to produce it.

Paul.. like the way you present your videos and I "Think" that I've viewed Most, if not All of your Springer videos and I don't remember you ever doing any on any of the Hatsan models.... Have I missed some, along the way ?? If you, in fact... have Not done any Hatsans... am curious Why not, and if possible... are you able to ??
IF... you Are able to... could you do some of the more popular models, ie: 125th, 135 (in .22 or .25 or both), perhaps a couple of the underlevers, ie: the 155 Torpedo, 100, 1000X, etc. ?
Thank you.. we all appreciate your efforts, it helps in our gun buying decisions... and as money is getting "tighter & tighter" these days... we don't want to be wasting money on stuff that, in the long run... really isn't worth it.... and THAT, is where Complete TRUTH, good OR bad.... about various products comes into play. Thanks again.

It's a 'Rekord' trigger , you say it like when someone has broken a world record .... You don't say it like when someone 'records' a programme on a vcr. It's nice to make the effort and pronounce things as the makers intended. It's also very annoying in films where Americans say 'Robinhood' - all one word , but I'm sure if mr and Mrs Hood , living in a New York suburb , had a son and called him ' Robin' , then he would say that his name was Robin Hood .... If he said his name was 'Robinhood' you'd think he was an idiot. So come on yanks , make the effort to speak properly, you're lovely people , just a little lazy sometimes ;)
