Genting (parent company) has made some questionable business and political decisions, but you have to give them credit. They built a world class theme park on the top of a mountain.
Been there during the soft launch (went around mid 2022, so there were more unopened rides) and as a Malaysian, was shocked by the upgrade! When I went about 20 years ago, it was a simple theme park that didn’t look good. This, on the other hand, SO much better! Especially theming. Yea this place hold a special memory - I was at the lowest point in my life when my mum brought me here. And for a night, I escaped from crippling reality yet later, was able to face it as the only direction my life went after that trip? Up. Would love to go again for the rest of the rides. But also, there are buses in KL that bring you to Genting and they go relatively often. Definitely is a 2 days one night thing. The redbus app should be decent for it. The only downside? Prepare barf bags - the road is carsick inducing.
What algorithm?! As long as I have to keep telling TH-cam I'm not interested in a video because I've already watched it, I don't think there's much of an algorithm.
The attraction lineup at this park looks fantastic even WITH them losing some IP rights last minute. Kudos to them for pulling it off, & glad they got to keep the Ice Age/Planet of the Apes themes!

Mad Ramp Peak would be the most difficult to mess with, but those other boxes could be demolished for new lands, especially with that SFX coaster and a vacant spot that buts up to a mall (For Rio, not so much)
Sfx coaster i think it will not future attraction but the ride project can't continue who can take over this crazy budget ride and overspending? No want it even more the genting group already sent tender for other vendor but no more update
You convinced me to put genting skyworld into my bucket list. I am an Indonesian and I used to think genting is just for gambling, and now I might go there for the theme park (and a bit of gambling of course).
Seeing all the videos on this channel covering Genting Skywods, I will say this park is fantastically unique. From the attractions, to the themed lands, to even the park's geographical location, it really does stand out as a theme park 👍
This place looks m i s e r a b l e. Lots of flat rides, several main attractions that will never be built, mostly kiddie to family friendly rides. The theming is admittedly really good, and the dark rides could look ok-ish, if you like those movies. And the view from that coaster is pretty impressive. If it didn’t mean going to the literal ends of the earth it could be a day trip but not something to build a trip around. I wouldn’t make it a priority
Can't even build they don't have any planning for those wings over rio ride because all about Disney not approved so the entire building got more creepy and empty nothing to see this project for more 10 years
We’ve touched on Genting a couple of times. First was its history, second was its review, and the third is this tour. We feel each has its place but it does lend to some overlap here and there.
It depends on which day of the week and year you are going. From my experience: Weekends/school/public holiday: bound to be crowded, at most around 10 to 12 rides Weekdays: way more than 10
O e again Malaysia often kalah with Singaporean 😊😊😅😅😅😅😅...universal much better!!!.... Only way to setel genting most buy fox from Disney ..or else this park no future😅😅😅🎉
There's also 2 major attractions which is Mad Ramp Peak it's dual power coaster will open coming soon and the big one is sfx coaster in phase 2 not open it take a few years to continue the project

The laughs and screams on Independence Day show how fun it was
Cool video. Nice shots of the rides. The park looks amazing!
Thanks for sharing this, as a Malaysian im still reluctant to visit but after watching this i might one day.

Commenting for the algorithm and because I love you guys and this channel!!!!
Thank you! We really appreciate it 🥹

It’s like the $5 movie bin of movie theme parks. I’m obsessed.
Nice to see how much this park has improved, visited it 13 years ago when it was just a simple amusement park without any theming.
We are from the Philippines, and we went here last 2015 with my friends and it's absolutely amazing place. I want to go back here soon with my family.
The attraction lineup at this park looks fantastic even WITH them losing some IP rights last minute. Kudos to them for pulling it off, & glad they got to keep the Ice Age/Planet of the Apes themes!
Appreciated the ride pov videos! Nice taste of what the park has to offer
Love that you travel to all these places I'll probably never go!
Can’t wait, will visit this year.

that "vacant spot that butts up to a mall" is used as a stage for seasonal events
Sfx coaster i think it will not future attraction but the ride project can't continue who can take over this crazy budget ride and overspending? No want it even more the genting group already sent tender for other vendor but no more update

Full of entertainment,thrill,nice weather
Going to enjoy this one. Commenting for the algorithm!
Thank you!! We really appreciate the support :)
Isn't this a reupload?
If you like that flying theater, you should see the godzilla attraction outside of Tokyo. The park isn't much to speak of but that ride is fantastic.
Hey there, the main entrance (the one you complain at 1:06) is entered via the walkway from Sky Avenue

Wish to visit there next month. Been there about 15 years ago and it looks like a total upgrade
Many wonders 😮
Next week Saturday I will go to genting highland🎉
I do wish Disney could add these attractions to their parks and have the imagineers improve on these.
I’m so happy the squirrel from ice age got the nut on the ride. That place is impressive!
I wish that Rio dark ride gets built someday.
Can't even build they don't have any planning for those wings over rio ride because all about Disney not approved so the entire building got more creepy and empty nothing to see this project for more 10 years
Where to stay any nearby hotel
How to book tickets for each attractions inside the theme park ??
I feel a dejavu. Didn't you do that video before? Also, with a bigger part about the missing attractions?

Nothing interesting to say, but I always upvote and I'll comment for the algorithm if it helps.
Oh, so this was part of the major acquisition of 20th c fox by Disney? Got it. Thanks for video.
is there enough time to play all the rides in one day and revisit some rides ???

I was there in 2007.
This looks pretty damn good this place

would love to go but the tickets are expensive af😂
It would be cool if you ride during the thick fog / clouds weather !
❤️ your vids
Thanks!
I want to go!
Awesome
Stay Hydrated Out there, ya hear!
Is there a difference between a simulator ride and a flying theater?
Flying theatre is where the seats rise up into the air, simulators are on the ground
I would argue a flying theater is a sub type of simulator
@@winxwest2964 would it be like flight of passage, or is that another type or subtype altogether?
@@chrishintz1077 i think it's more akin to Soarin'
Cool
The Ice Age roller coaster looks like a lot of fun!
if you have motion sickness - this is the ultimate test
The only problem with this park is no room for expansion they’d have to demolish stuff to add new experiences
🎼“….🍒 🍨😊, I suppose it’s very 👍 🎸🎸🎸 - Duran Duran.
Must be some truly unique attractions for most Malaysians.
