Some people will make fun of me and most will not understand. Im from the days of Atari and coleco vision. In my old age i am literally in tears(happy) and cannot express enough how truly amazing video and gaming has come. I've never really had anything in life and never been out of my state. I would love ro experience not just this ride but all the tech out now before my final pass
Would be a cool concept, but pretty light on action and "plot". Go to empty ship, lasers shoot everywhere, 1 ship gets in your face, blows up, blow up big shipeasy, come back, repeat ship gets in your face. It's kind of a like a "oh no, this is due in 30 minutes to the project lead" feeling thing. Cooler part is the Alien exosuit in the preshow.. wish the actor played it up a little more.
Definitely one of the better rides from a non Disney or Universal theme park. Just a weird use for the hang glider lift system, as it doesn’t make sense from a story and design perspective. Why would we be flying around safely in it when we are wide open compared to the fighter ships?
Went to Genting Skyworlds two weeks ago. This was the highlight for me. We waited 40 mins to ride but it was so fun! Just watching the video like this makes it look boring but you really gotta experience it for yourself. The motions you feel riding it is similar to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at Universal Studios Japan.
It's just a sky ride. First invented for a hang glider ride and concept was create with Erector set. A screen where you are suspended in front of a screen and the screen is special where they can add wind effects and scent.
@7:22 it sounds like "I'll keep f**k boy occupied". The auto-generated subtitles also say "I'll keep FK boy occupied".... Is that actually what he said?
It’s been a while since I watched Independence Day but this seemed to have nothing to do with the film, the spaceships didn’t even look like the ones in the film, had none of the cast members and the aliens didn’t even show up 🤷🏻♂️
This ride looks pretty entertaining... woulda been better with a crash landing. Also I forgot there was a sequel to ID 😂 clearly a very forgettable movie!
Looks like a good ride, only thing is they should have based it off the original movie instead of the garbage sequel. They could have done it something like bringing down 1 of the alien ships somewhere in Asian Region after they get the message from American military in how to bring down the ships but the original is old & that is probably asking for too much.
This ride was VERY AMAZING! my top list fav ride in genting skyworlds. Lots of easter eggs, localize elements to fit the malaysian look. You can see actually petronas twin towers in the que area, as well the ride itself showing futuristic city of kuala lumpur.
Is no one going to mention how the end of this is pulled directly from the Star Tours? Same sequence of events and almost word for word the same script? (Cool ride though)
Idk. Sure I’m looking at this through a video, but I was rather unimpressed. I mean I’m sure they spent a lot on this, but somehow this still looked cheap and uninspired to me
This ride is perhaps the best thing to come out of the Independence Day sequel, but I'm disappointed they didn't include the Harvester Queen, as it seems like a slam-dunk for your finale. Also, no crash landing? Boo.
Star tours and Soarin had a baby..
Wrong dummy, alien encounter and soarin combo
@@bensherm2389Even better
LOL I love how at the very end of the video has the kid saying "that was just a TV show." Accurate.
I am watching all the wrong TV shows, lol.
Agree. Wasn’t really impressed.
Went there last week, my 5 yr old say "This is just a TV i not scared"
Man, I wish these stuff were around when I was 5 :/ ...

I went on this and I highly recommend this ride, it’s currently one of the best ones at the theme park
This is what I thought the next independence day should be...a ride.
Make it a simulator and keep score.
A high end video game.

There's a protective shield, it appears in red when the ship gets hit
@@KingRCT3correct
@@KingRCT3 I understand that but it’s still a terrible design for something flying through space just to shoehorn the glider ride system.
Dam a screen thought it was a ride! Bring back rides😩😩😩😩😩
Since Disney bought out 20th Century Fox, this would be great attraction for a new Tomorrowland.
Good point.

Thank you! This is so cool!
Very cool ride at Malaysia Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park ride
I just went there yesterday and glad to see the same guy is still working there role playing.
Im impressed, at first i was like damn its just a simulator but it seems to have very good pacing and the way the theater is done really surprised me

At islands of adventure
I love the part where he said prepare to jump for hyperspeed like in star tours and millennium falcon smugglers run
Been there before. Super realistic ride! Worth the hour I waited and DEFINITELY better than Invasion of the planet of the apes.
Not too bad….this is hyper version of Soarin in DCA. Sometimes, though, it’s hard to pick up what going on!
AMAZING ON SCREEN HAS TO BE INCREDIBLE LIVE
I like cast members' accents.
This looks incredible 😮
I waited 4 hours for this ride worth every second
Will Smith gives this ride “Two Slaps Up”.
😐
Wow that was world's cooler than the actual movie lmao
It has exactly the same story line as the Hong Kong Iron Man Experience ride
I just went there today
It's just a sky ride. First invented for a hang glider ride and concept was create with Erector set. A screen where you are suspended in front of a screen and the screen is special where they can add wind effects and scent.
It was an erector set, not Legos. And the wind effects and scents have nothing to do with the screen. And you don't know what a sky ride is.
Independence Day: Regurgitation
The actual human in the beginning was a nice touch. Don't see that often.
Bem supimpa!!!
the problem is this alot stuff from the bad 2nd Movie
Well, that was interesting and intense. But hey, at least we got to kick some spider alien butt to next Tuesday.
@7:22 it sounds like "I'll keep f**k boy occupied". The auto-generated subtitles also say "I'll keep FK boy occupied".... Is that actually what he said?
Now thats what I call a close encounter
Wow there are cable car ❤
Does Will Smith smack Chris Rock on this ride?
It's basically Flight of the Avatar or Soring Over CA, but cooler.
It’s been a while since I watched Independence Day but this seemed to have nothing to do with the film, the spaceships didn’t even look like the ones in the film, had none of the cast members and the aliens didn’t even show up 🤷🏻♂️
😂😂😂 this has a ride?! Oh man...not half bad tho
Dude I've been there 😄
Muito legal.
Someone needs to fire those actors lmao
They used generic music instead of the rousing music from the movie🥱
that pre-show animatronic was a slight let down
I wish I can have a closer look at the presenter. He look handsome
Wow, Cheesey...
That guy sound like a Filipino accent 🤣😅😂👍🤗🇵🇭Mabuhay
7:20. Excuse me?
Wolfman is saying “Bug Boy”

where is this theme park at cause this looks amazing
Genting Skyworld, Malaysia.
How old or tall does a kid need to be to ride this?
What country is this at?

That was a really long script to memorise
it would be great if it was in 3d.
It's not 3D? I thought it had that blurry look of watching 3D without the glasses on...?
That’s right look so boring it’s just a bunch of screens you know what I mean
😂😂😂😂
Theme parks have gotten so lazy! This is just a re themed Soarin/Star Tours
This ride looks pretty entertaining... woulda been better with a crash landing. Also I forgot there was a sequel to ID 😂 clearly a very forgettable movie!
Cool ride for such a forgettable movie.
It’s a trap!
Triotech?
Dynamic attractions
That was my second guess.
This is should have been Independence Day 3 as a movie...
Ugh!
On second thought, Don't!!!
SO SAY
日本なら綾小路麗華なんやろな
Say what now?
So they just copied Avatar: Flight Of Passage.
Cool ride and concept
Too bad the 2nd movie sucked
It is a trap.
These amazing shows are always let down by such amateurish, hammy acting. 😳It's cringy.

it’s crazy to me universal never jumped on the id4 ip
I’m confused how so many of these over seas rides never have anyone in line. How are they making money?!

You have to experience it yourself. The video cant do justice of it. One of the best ride in skyworlds malaysia !

These new rides are so bad. How’s this Independence Day
Military vs Aliens
Aliens vs clone troopers
Aliens vs storm troopers
Aliens vs Jedi
Aliens vs droids
Just "borrowing" a lot from Soaring over California at California Adventure.
I love how they made a ride about independence day, not in the US lol
wow … what a ride 😊
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯🤘✨🪶☝️
that guy's accent is cringe, spoilt the ride lol. Should have just sticked with the american voice actors.
Wow.😃🤩looks good.
Where is this park located??
Malaysia 🇲🇾
What if they came to pandora?
TH-cam Dean Odle EU The Great Creation Debate of 2023!!! :)
This ride should be called Soaring over CGI.
Id love to do this but I get motion sickness...looked good
I didn't expect ID4 to have a ride.
"The hatches are open, do a barrel roll!!"
They need this at Universal Studios.
On that ride.
