Ed's voice is magical. This was the first album I bought as a kid, I was 11, the next year I saw them for my first ever concert at the Nebraska State Fair, 19 years later it's still my favorite album of all time.
Thanks for uploading this. When they came to Ft Lauderdale, I waited by their bus after the show and Ed was getting on and invited me inside. There was a small party going on and I remember he plopped on the couch in the front lounge and opened a drawer underneath the seat and it was filled to the brim with bags of potato chips. He then asked what was around town and I said, “just bars and stuff” so he said, “let’s go, kid.” So we went walking around to a few bars and he was so friendly meeting people. Even at these bars, no one knew who he was, and he was introducing me and saying I was in the band. Went back to the bus to hang out with the drummer and his gf, and they invited my two friends on and they were making SNL references the whole time. This was the first time I ever had alcohol (Jagermeister). Probably should have said I was 17 but hell, it was the best fan experience I ever had with a band. 10/10, these were the nicest guys I ever met and I still have a photo with Ed from my Razer phone. Wish they kept making music.
I thought this was also about the band Cold. Not surprising. They've been my favorite band for 23 years and I've only ever met two people outside of their shows who knew who they are 🤣
Cold is such a great band. Stupid Girl, Remedy, and Suffocate are all great. I’ll never forget the first time I watched the music video for Stupid Girl, it made me think of Spider-Man and I wondered if it was in a Spider-Man movie. Haha. Now I think of it like Peter talking to MJ. Haha.
I don't think there is without mass quality loss ;-; I feel like the only way we'll get it is if a tape of that performance gets put up for sale or uploaded somewhere
Yes, it's possible, but you'd have to ask a sound engineer. It would cost you around 500$. He'd crank up the volume and isolate back track from the interview (which takes a lot of work). Then you'd have to equalize by hand.
The lead singer went through a bout of depression due to their sophomore album not selling great, which also led to them getting dropped by Columbia. The backing vocalist Tony Byroads also left the band about a year after the self-titled came out, and the band hasn't seen really any activity since... maybe 2013?
Hes actually semi active on instagram where he owns his own car shop, I doubt he plays drums anymore though, someone I know actually contacted him a few years ago and got one of Crossfade's super old sugardaddy superstar CDs
Never understood why Ed had that Tony dude in the band. He really couldn't sing plus all the vocal harmonies were done between Ed and the bass player. It was prob bc a lot of bands at the time were doing that 2 singer deal. Everyone wanted to emulate LP too
Probably the most ignorant comment I've ever seen. Nearly all the vocals harmonies were done by Ed and Tony, not Mitch. Listen to the self-titled recordings and Mitch's greatest contribution was Starless, every other harmony was either Ed and Tony or Ed doing the harmonies himself. Tony has been wanting to be in the band since the late 90s and joined around 1997-98, way before Linkin Park ever became popular. The stark contrast between the Crossfade S/T and Falling Away proves how much Tony had an influence on the band. He didn't just barely sing harmonies that Ed wrote for him, he added a dimension to the band that wasn't replaced once he left. And wtf do you mean he can't sing? Maybe it's just me but listen to his other band The Undivided and you can absolutely tell he can sing.
If you listen to the album, Tony sang on every song except for Death Trend Setta, No Giving Up, and The Unknown. Mitch had one single vocal part in the bridge of So Far Away. All of the other harmonies were done by Ed himself, Mitch sang more during The Nothing.
So glad they're back!!!
Every single song on their first album is incredible. It's so rare for me to listen to an album front to back and not want to skip.
my gosh i love crossfade!!
Fell in love with these guys when there song cold came out on the psp. Here I am all these years later still blasting it
I never knew where i discovered crossfade but after seeing your comment it must've been from the psp.

That acoustic version of Colors is INSANE! I wish it was all there...
this band has a place in my heart forever.
That live version of 'Cold' is incredible. Just like the studio version. Amazing
maybe because they're overlaying the studio version on top?
unfortunately thats only because they dubbed it with the record version
Hell fuck yeah. I’ve been looking for more interviews for these guys since I started listening to their stuff all over again
I thought this was also about the band Cold. Not surprising. They've been my favorite band for 23 years and I've only ever met two people outside of their shows who knew who they are 🤣
Shoot the band CoLd has a cult like following. They are still out there doing their thing but Scooters the singer is the only original member left.

@@DarkKnight-q2d they said they used the spider because a spider is like their music. Slow and wicked lol
I really hope they all are doing well today.
Rock Allegiance Tour 2011 was sooo much fun

So the complete acoustic version of Colors is somewhere out there, hope they release it soon!!! Love it
Ohhhhh shitttttttttt THANKS YOU VERY MUCH !. I was looking for this since long time ago
I always saw fragments of this performance, now you put it in full and HD, thank you very much
I love these guys, man. I love that acoustic version of No Giving Up!!!
I’ve always wondered where these guys are now. Ed’s vocal skill was amazing imo
Holy shit I was just thinking about this please never delete
They're back. LET'S GO!!!!
One of my favorite bands
" its orgasmic" - Tony Byroads 16:28
Holy shit thank you for this
This doesn't seem like 20 years ago to me. Time is cold.
Miss them fr, wish they’d try again
I recommend them for a live show if they are playing at your local bar. I really enjoyed it.
thx a lot man for this
Man, this is the one band I wish would get back together…. I really loved We All Bleed too.😢
that's video was so necessary, and epic btw
that cold "performance" is the CD version of the song with some added reverb and crowd sound effects lol. that is not live audio
I never mean to be so coldddd 💔. Mann , still hoping for their comeback, even the chance are slim to none..
Thank you so much for this
Holy shit their debut album would've kicked ass if they released an acoustic version of it.
Best band of all time!
THEY'RE BAAAAAAACK!!!!!! ❤❤
Thanks for this!
where can i get this version of colors in full god damn
yeaaaah crossfade!!
still naive shirt! still naive was a pretty good band too!
SOMEONE WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TRY TO EXTRACT THE ACOUSTIC VERSION IN THE BACKGROUND WHILE THEY TALK
Is it possible for someone to isolate the “no giving up” acoustic that’s playing while they’re being interviewed ?😭 need that version !!

I wonder what ever happened to Brian Geiger, the original drummer. He fell off the face of planet. Zero social media.

🔥
They are not together no more I think they reside 2 cd

i agree - he'd sing a couple lines at most in a song and that was it, not much of a contribution.
