A Crack In time. My personal favourite of the series, alongside Up Your Aresnal. What do both have in common? Nefarious. I always liked his design and character, his voice while clearly evil gave him humour. The new PS5 design, to me he looks too shiney but it’s still cool to see him back. If he plays a large role hope he gets a theme as good as this
@@Davidpoland2005 true, I mean the new design has certainly grown on me, the voice is the same just tweaked, Emps was lovely to have but did take all the spotlight main game, Nefarious as a form of comedic villainy sorta just got to side line. And that’s not bad but it would have been nice to have had him say some extra lines with Emps, interactions and such
im going to have to disagree, i liked the battle between ratchet and alister better. the symbolism and realization that if ratchet wins, the only man who knew his family dies, and if alister wins, ratchet dies and the world ends due to the clock destroying itself.

@@dirtyfighters7751 for me there is not too much going on in the soundtrack like other ratchet stages/oroginals the music is standart It didn't excite me like UYA did though the boss fight was good.
@@Disgr-Ace Yeah, the music from the original games are so good, that this one doesn't really have anything on them, though it's still good (Note: I'm talking about the D.N. music from ACIT).
I do have ratchet and clank rift apart, when I got to the dr nefarious boss fight, I had to mute the rift apart one, and get my phone to play a crack in time dr nefarious boss music cuz it sounds epic than the others.
I agree. Dr. Nefarious is not to be underestimated. I enjoyed Rift Apart but I didn't like how they toned him down as a threat. He fought against Rivet and he came out of it unscathed. He's extremely durable.
@@JH24821 Not to mention the fact that he constantly invents weapons of mass destruction on a whim (which are probably just as powerful as the RYNO series of weapons). He's definitely no slouch.
@@dantebond8124 Yeah, he's a genius when it comes to science and technology. In earlier games he was able to come up with plans to stop Ratchet and Clank in their tracks. I wish he had a more important role in Rift Apart instead of belng used as a plot device. He should have been part of the final battle against the Emperor.
@@JH24821 He should have been the final boss. A surprise "oh sh*t" for the game and just when he's defeated, he escapes to an unknown location. Still a threat and still out there. Away from needless distraction, able to plot and plan.

It sounds so much slower when you're not fighting him. Nefarious is still awesome and so are both of his themes

Dude its 2019 and just today I replayed the game again and this is the best soundtrack in the game hands down

Kinda love how this track doesn't play down the fact that despite the fact that Nefarious is comedic gold, he is also a very very serious threat
This, Drek's theme, Nefarious' theme in UYA, Slag's theme in TOD, Azimuth's theme. The best boss tracks in R&C series.

If All 4 One is canon, that would explain why Doctor Nefarious is weaker in Rift Apart, since he isn't really 100% evil anymore.
