@@littlefrank90 I have 8gbs (system actually says 7.9gbs lol, So technically lower than min.), it is enough IF map loads, and map loading usually gets ram usage up to 5.5gbs (just beamng, 100% total usage), and crashes the game. If I can load the map, its way lower usage and everything is almost fine. Unless I change some settings and ram usage gets dangerously high trying to apply changes, thus freezing the game, but thats usually fine. Thankfully my cpu and gpu are way more capable than my ram and I can run the game smoothly after it loads. But I guess you would know my problem better than me even though you dont know anything about me, or my system.
@@nathanbaster7034 In the Vehicle Configuration window, with the Covet loaded, I think the parts directory would be Body > Engine (set as 1.5L I4), and also add the Adjustable Race ECU (Body > Engine > Engine Management), and the rev limit will be available through tuning Same for the boost, you'd need the Stage 3 Variable Boost Turbo equipped on the car (Body > Engine > Intake), and then you can tune the output through the Induction tuning in the same tuning window
i just realized the time difference between rigs of rods release and beamng's tech demo is smaller than the time difference between beamng's tech demo and today
One thing no one has mentioned and is hands down the biggest win in this update (for controller/keyboard users) is the new steering filter which now takes into account front wheel grip. If you were tired of beamng commanding full lock all the time, now is the time to come back.
@@snjert8406 makes the game fun to drive with controllers/keyboards like forza, theres a video on what it does in their patch notes. hands down the best thing to ever happen to beamng imo

Sure, it mostly stops cars from snap-oversteering before I can, but when you get into a slide and it recovers, it's a little wonky and had me crashing more than I would have without. Not as drive-by-wire as it feels with Forza, but a fun addition :3
@@snjert8406 you can actually turn the over steer recovery off and just run the under steer one. I had a little hiccup because it likes to snap the wheels straight sometimes after recovering from over steer (especially while drifting) but its easy to work around.
Does it help with drifting? Honestly if I could get the hang of drifting in BeamNG and(most importantly) if it felt as good as drifting in Assetto I'd probably never play another game again in my life lol I use wheel by the way
What I really want to see is improvements of reducing clipping of pieces into other pieces in the damage. A lot of the cool things you try to do in the game end up joined cause some broken jello piece of another car gets stuck in yours in some un-natural fashion and refuses under any circumstance to let go from either vehicle or break in half.
The game used to have reactive Gear sticks but it was removed (I assume for mechanics reasons) and luckily they just added it back. I love how detailed everything in this game is and it is always amazing just how much detail is in almost everything.
FINALLY, ANIMATED SHIFTERS. I know it's a small detail but I remember a mod (a honda prelude i think, this was years ago), that had it but was ultimately banned or something because I haven't seen it in years. I was always wondering if they were ever going to add it until now!
In regards to "the void". You can enable the rear view and side mirrors. The setting is called "Dynamic Reflection". It is quite intensive on the computer, so it is off by default. I believe it has been in the game for awhile. It runs fairly well on my computer with it on.
Looks really nice, hope it isn't the case like it was for the original The Crew where the graphics update potentionally could cut off players from playing. Doesn't seem as severe performance wise while still keeping a high quality so its nicer.

I've never clicked an upload by you faster. I haven't even had a chance to seriously explore the updates yet. Also, they improved optimization on Steam Deck! They had it capped at 30FPS earlier, now they've taken that limiter off and she runs smooth, and the "Deck Support is experimental" warning is gone. As one of the seven people who were actually able to get one of these, this makes me happy.
The biggest thing I noticed is the performance upgrades. I play this game on a virtual machine on my macbook, and some cars just killed the frames too much to play, but now I'm running around 60fps on almost all the cars, its amazing.
Wow, the only thing which bothered me in beamng’s physics engine was how light the cars felt. Pretty unrealistic, flying after a slight hit or 12 rollovers before they stop. I guess i gotta check the new update

the traffic change is so nice, on my laptop i was able to have six cars for traffic and the only lag happened when i was spawning them in and i think i could spawn more

If you wanna get a used wheel: I got my TS-PC Racer for 350€. It's basically a stronger T300RS with a fancy rim if you get the ferrari model, but you have to buy pedals extra (t3pa for example). I can reccomend that if you want to look into that.
Beamng is just the gift that keeps on giving. I haven't had a genuine complaint about this game, other than performance since I first played it back when it was just supposed to be a soft body physics whacky driving game

hey muye! I'm sure you'd be Jazz'd to know that the Honda Jazz is called the Honda Fit in america and I have the manual version. I took a road trip from Idaho to Texas thru california and it was very fun to drive on the mountain passes in the sierra nevada. It also survived death valley at 125 F (50c)
It's really well-optimized. It's just hard to run by nature, as there's thousands upon thousands of details to calculate for each vehicle - And it calculates each of them 2,000 times per second. Anything less, and the game would not be as realistic as it is.
This update has been one of my favorites. I didn't realize how much motion blur would change it. Finally time to get a steering wheel and shifter for it.
The cover having a mid engine configuration, that handles really well makes me think there the devs are getting better at making mid engine cars, and mabye we can expect more win the future? Also the T series is the only vehicle that didn't get the shifter re done (diesel transmission shifters are strange)
I love rear-wheel drive. Yes, it is more complicated, yes, it is not needed, but it gives much more control over the car and pleasure. My favorite cars are track Miramar and Bolide (which is with a regular engine, not a 600 + hp monster).
Seeing the titles is always a treat, followed by the very concise demonstration of everything involved and maybe a few hi-jinks like dodging cars on foot when that feature was teased.

Edit: 10:40 if you need other super customisable Engines , just download RK's engines (and if you want insane mod with forced induction intakes for every in-game Vehicle just download RK's intakes)
It seems the update broke all the mods that give vehicles additional body styles, even vehicles untouched by the update. Remember to disable them for now for those wanting to check the update out, but I for one will be waiting a couple months before resuming just as I had done will all previous major updates before it while they work out the bugs.
It looks great but they still didn't add mud particles and dust particles on the car. The car doesn't get wet either when we drive it through the water. We should be able to wash our car when it gets dirty.

I didn't notice an immediate improvement in graphics, but boy was I shocked when I compared it to the old footage
I just like to watch beamng as I dont have enough ram to play most maps, and noticed the graphic changes immediatly! It looks insane!
I really needed to look closely to even notice it to be honest. Not to bad on the fps either. Just 5 fps slower from 100 fps

Unfortunately, Fmod is just a sound engine. BeamNG and CarX are made by different developers.

BeamNG is amazing. It has captured a unique segment of the sim community and succeded at it. It's a little what "Racer" was in the early 2000's.

It seems the update broke all the mods that give vehicles additional body styles, even vehicles untouched by the update. Remember to disable them for now for those wanting to check the update out, but I for one will be waiting a couple months before resuming just as I had done will all previous major updates before it while they work out the bugs.

It looks great but they still didn't add mud particles and dust particles on the car. The car doesn't get wet either when we drive it through the water. We should be able to wash our car when it gets dirty.

scratches would be nice aswell
