Cheemu Indian development is not just about financial it is institutional. In 1978 when I entered Engineering college ( one of 15 NIT) we had 5 IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), 5 IIM (Indian Institute of Management and 1 AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences).
Today we have 23 IIT, 31 NIT (National Institute of Technology, 20 IIM, and 19 AIIMS. Many more are under development.
This is a massive investment not only in Education but research and development. IIT are on Par with MIT & Stanford, IIM are on par with Harvard, Columbia and Yale, AIIMS are on par with any top Medical research college in USA. NIT's are on par with any top Technical university in USA. Outside of USA no other country has this level of Educational Institutions. This is our real asset and the fruits of these assets is what you see as CEO's of Google, Microsoft, IBM etc.
And getting into IIT is tougher than into MIT
Yes compared to iit and iim, it is unfortunate that aiims weren't expanded.
However I'm glad more aims have been build now across the country because medical research is something that is never enough

Apart from AIIMS Delhi and IISc Banglore other institutions are merely engineering graduate producing colleges only.

Thanks to both the speakers for their kind words about India . Yes there were several leaders who were honest and role models for Awaam . But Ishtiaq Sahab there people of such honesty on every front - I grew up in small town . There were dedicated , selfless and excellent teachers, doctors, lawyers, professors, local leaders like Nehru ji , Shastriji and Manmohan Singh . Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee was such a great role model as opposition leader, lead almost an ascetic life so many leaders and chief ministers !

Mr Cheema, Solution is still possible and is very simple -
1. Surrender Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to India unilaterally.
2. Declare to India that there would be no more terrorism from Pakistan and dismantle terror infrastructure completely.
3. Both the countries should give each other Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status.
4. Dismantle all your Madarsas and convert them into regular schools and seek India's cooperation in establishing modern education infrastructure.
5. Make hizab voluntary and give choice to your women to do what they want.
6. Compulsory free girl education.
7. India has never attacked Pakistan. So make peace treaties with India and reduce defence spending. This will release and unlock funds for health and education in Pakistan.
8. Recognise Bangladesh and make free trade agreement with it.
9. Make efforts to deradicalise your youth.
10. Ban on Blasphemy but hang people who believe in Sar Tan Se Juda and take law in their hand.
