Thanks for the videos Tim . Very insightful . I feel your stress man!! I’m emotionally in there with you! Can’t wait for the next video . Keep them coming . Remember to enjoy every moment 🎉
Thanks so much for your kind words! I know it’s only numbers and I don’t want that to ever cloud my judgement. 800k on insta and TicTok and brands are approaching. Just would love TH-cam to pay for a bag of cement or two 😂
Edit: Okay, so further on in the video I see the background and foreground are both in focus. SO much better! I have just found your videos and I'm binge watching. Very informative with great content. One small gripe 😊 the depth of field with your camera is very shallow and it's very difficult to follow the activities in the background as they're always out of focus. I'd love to be able to see as you're explaining. 😊 Thanks for the awesome videos!
I watched some of the videos and found some answers. But, could you do a video just for the cost of land (found it in one video), estimate cost for the house, other costs, estimate of time for construction, how big the house is. Would be great to go through all those details in one video. Love it
But before I get there: cost of build R3.8 land R1.2 size of land 1,100SQM building footprint 370SQM I’ve got every expense accounted for in a sheet. What expenses are you curious about?
@@buildwithtim Just the general thing. I think that many are interested in that as well. I would do: Cost of land, size, Cost of construction, size Timeframe And a comparison to like the UK where you lived before to get a better understanding of it all. I'm based in Sweden and love all these building shows in other countries :). You mentioned it in different videos but a summary video would be great.
Cost of material??We got land, in the approval stage of plans... I've been searching TH-cam for South African building content every few months... We're planning to use savings and maybe a personal loan to build...Got the land cash... Will most definitely take loner than yoyr project.. I can't believe how quickly it's moving.
Congratulations on your build and all the best of luck! New Subbie here! I'm feeling your every pain cause I'm also vlogging my build process in the VILLAGE in the Eastern Cape. Yours is definitely moving smoother and the people are round you seem knowledgeable. Mine OMG! I've just closed the house and I'm about to start finishes too. And yes I got robbed so many times!
Oh man! That sounds like a nightmare journey. I’m sure it’s turning out well. How do I follow what you are doing? Keep it up and yes, the filling etc is hectic.
Nice Tim, I have a similar story, We are about 80% finished with our building project in the winelands.. What gets expensive is near the end if you have a building loan, you have to pay rent and interest.. What caught me out was the kitchen and cupboards. Its double what we had in our budget.
Please don’t compare to mine. I think every region in SA could have different prices. Also sometimes invoice come later than the days I’m been shooting. If that makes sense?
Please help me grow this channel by sharing this video and commenting below (thank you!)

Really enjoyed the video 🎉well explained
Would love to see south African builds with basements, considering how high the foundation is
You know we lost a huge potential basement here. We almost did something but decided the finishing cost was too high.

Thanks for sharing man! Yeah it’s already getting tricky for us juggling bank drawdowns etc we are about to get our cupboard quotes and am nervous 😬
@@buildwithtim our quotes ranged for a 300sqm house 260-400k melamine plain, not wrap
Eina, that is a lot. We've got a highly recommended family run business about to quote on ours. We're hoping for R220k all in (I'll keep you updated)
Thank you Tim for the channel. It inspired me go start
I am so happy for you! Best of luck with it all. Where are you building?
Enjoying this series. Would cool if able able to setup a time lapse.
Great idea. I’ve actually got lots of drone footage and plan to do this 😀
We are in the process in buying a land and building our house. Watching this gets me nervous.
No way, don’t get nervous. It’s actually enjoyable and a wild ride. Where are you guys building?
Kindly upload more videos, I'm loving your content 🙌
I will, I wish the editing was quick but yes I have a lot more footage coming soon :-) Thanks for following!
Very interresting to see, nice that you break down the cost. Hope the best for you
Thank you! I wish all the best for you…
This is amazing keep going,,, from tiktok 🙋♂️

It is a huge pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Good luck Tim
I appreciate it!
Really cool
Thanks so much!
Can’t wait for the new videos Great work
Thank you so much!
Great video. Hello from denmark 🎉
Hello Denmark! Thanks for watching.
Great video Tim,was just wondering how many squares is your lovely home?
Thanks so much. We are at 370 or there about 👍🏻
Does the cost include labour?
All total costs are with labour 👍🏻
Love your videos Tim👌🏿. Just wanted to ask if the costs in this video include the engineers, architect and surveyors cost?
Good question. It does the surveyors but not others. Wanted to keep it actual materials and physical building (if that makes sense?)
@@buildwithtim makes sense 👍🏾
We waiting for for an update
I’m working on it. Life has been hectic 🙈
Lol I came here straight from tiktok
Welcome!
Not me comparing my budgeted cost to Tim's cost. 😢. Its not balancing. And we start in 3 month 😅
Please don’t compare to mine. I think every region in SA could have different prices. Also sometimes invoice come later than the days I’m been shooting. If that makes sense?
These costs are stressing me out 😂😂 I’m just a baby
Ha ha, that is funny. Yeah building is not cheap but beats buying in the area
