Ok seriously my hats off to you. I mean not only are you good at what you do but Holly grail you’re brave too 💪. I love how you’re just not afraid to do things.
Thank you! In my previous houses, I’ve been scared to try things because I didn’t want to mess things up. But with this house, I’ve just decided to go for it!
Gonna drop you multiple comments on this one to help boots your engagement numbers cause after this video you deserve them!!! RESPECT on seeing this through!! Especially the ladder portion 😂🤯👍👍. Great job Kelsey, hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Why am I just finding your channel? Love watching the kind of videos and so glad it is the weekend so I can binge watch all of yours! And I agree you should have way more subscribers, you are amazing at what you do and proves a woman can do it!!. 😊
I can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers!!!! You’re so amazing and wow me every time I see your vids! The ladder had me so anxious 😬 but you did it
Thank you! I think electrical work is what I’ve learned the most about since I started renovating this house. It has opened up a world of possibilities!
I’ve only watched 2 of your videos so far and learned so much. I can’t wait to do projects like this when I get a house and I finally have a channel I can reference. You make everything look so easy
Your skills are amazing!!! Love your videos and always look forward to your next video!!! Everything looks so fresh and clean! You are absolutely amazing! Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend! 😊
You are amazing, I wish I had the guts to replace light fixtures instead of waiting for my husband to make time to do it! Always a treat to see your videos, can’t wait for the next one!
The light and paint look so good. I can't tell where the holes were. You are so brave to work on light and paint the walls above the stairwa. I'm scared of height. I can't do it. Lol. Im looking forward to watch more of your vlogs.
Looks great! I have never seen a light on the wall of the stairs before. Much better! I am looking forward to what you do! I think an open railing with wood spindles would look so nice, but whatever you choose will look great.
Haha! My google history is full of things like “how high should pendants be above countertop”. Gives me a starting point and then I end up doing what I think looks good.
Them stairs are lookin prettttttty. Can’t wait to see the final transformation. It’s also ok that this held me back from a walk or cleaning cause yard work for the past 2 days has sucked the life right outta me in this heat….I even gave my grumpy old men and their wonky receding hairline another hack job.
I’ve got to give you 50thousand 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 the fact that you knew how to locate the wiring, went in the attic, put another boxy in the ceiling and most of alllllllll sitting up in the air on a ladder (no ma’am I will not) it was hard for me to watch. 😅☺️Great job!!!
You are so talented! I look forward to the weekend because I’m excited to see what video you post next! What did you end up doing with the old electrical wire to the old fixture you removed?
Thank you! I disconnect the wire on both ends so there was no power running to it and I left it in the wall. It would have been impossible to get it out because it is stapled to the studs.
@@KelseyRomitoDIY it sure was because you did great i’m still in the process of putting up recessed lights in my family room but I’m also thinking about hardwiring it as well
I love everything you have done. Just a suggestion; that half wall would look great open with spindles and the column wrapped in wood. You are the boss. I have done so many renovations with my husband and boy, you make it look easy.
Wow I just read your replies to Kelsey’s video I had just finished posting my suggestion in about the same thing but I suggested wrought iron spindles and a stair rail wow we are on the same page I really didn’t think I would come across another comment like my own great minds think a like lol
Just as awesome as ever!! There’s nothing you can’t handle!!! Always so constant and inspiring. Great job, I look forward to seeing the railing and staircase transformation. Don’t work too hard😜
Looks great. I have to paint also that area of the stairs, but I'm scared of climbing on a ladder like you did. Lol! I was so nervous for you when i saw you up there. 😬😁
Just discovered your channel and I know I’ll enjoy watching the rest of this make over. You might consider getting a paint spryer it would be even a bigger Improvement then the extension that you use this time.
Very impressive doing electrical on a ladder! As much as I love doing DIY, that's where I chicken out. lol I love the light fixture. What white did you use?
Girl, you're my HERO! I admire your skill set!! I just started collecting tools of my own and starting on lil projects! BUT, some things just scare me... like I don't think I could do light fixtures or even change a door knob! My hubby works out if town months at a time and I'm just trying to do surprise him at learning... did I mention he's a carpenter?😂 Can't wait for the next video! Have a safe and happy holiday!
Thank you! Changing a doorknob is a perfect beginner project to get you familiar with your drill. Make sure you check out next week’s video because I think it will be perfect for you! That’s so cool your husband is a carpenter. I’m sure your husband will be super impressed that you’re getting into diy. Meanwhile my husband doesn’t bat an eye when I’m moving light fixtures or remodeling the kitchen. (He’s so used to it.) Yet he kept raving about the mediocre lasagna I recently made for him. 🤣🤣
That's the smile I get on my face when project goes right.. love it. What is the paint you used for space Kelsey? It is bright but warm.. can't wait for more. Thanks❤🙏
I was so happy that I got the wiring right! I actually mixed two paint colors together because white is so tricky. The paint formula is in the video description.

I would like to know how I can run new wires for a new fan Can you explain how what cables you used? Thank you so much you make me feel that I can do it too!.
Yo Yo Yo friend, I you EVER have to do a ladder trick like that again you can screw a scap piece of 2x4 or pretty much anything just to keep ladder from sliding down the wall. A 24" pice works great as to catch 2 studs & have enough width for ladder. I've even seen guys attach a piece to ceiling & run a rope or wratchet stap through ladder rung. Either way you killed it bye seeing it through!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Hello Miss Kelsey you are one of my favorite TH-camrs I look forward to your videos every week you are amazing I have a suggestion for your latest project it might be a nice idea to punch out that pony wall and add some black wrought iron spindles and stair rail to match your New chandelier that would look fantastic and it would brighten up that hallway just a suggestion you have given me courage to try some things in my own home you are so skilled with those tools and fearless at that so I just thought I’d give you my thoughts on your latest project keep up the good work I’ll see you next week

Welcome! I mixed 2 parts bm chantilly lace and 1 part bm simply white- not the smartest choice I’ve ever made but it came out to be the exact white I was looking for. I had them color matched at sherwin williams to save money.

Spray knock down texture. Matches the texture around the patch
