Derek’s drumming on this album is from another dimension. He was fucking on one during these sessions. One of my favorite album performances ever. As far as I’m concerned, this album and Op Ivy’s Energy are the pinnacle of ska punk.
Hell yeah I've loved the drumming on this album from the first time I heard it back in the day. Still hypes me up.
See this is why i love this channel, you guys actually read the comments and interact with the community. Glad you guys liked it!
I can listen to Derek drum all day (he’s been the drummer of Alkaline Trio for many years now)
"you want to get married and cook somebody's dinner" wasn't a pick up line, it's an insult. She wants to settle down and live family life but he wants to be young and carefree.
Hell yeah! Got this CD in 1996 and I LOVED the album. It put a lot mileage on my CD player. I especially love the first half of the album. Superb and classic punk ska album
Great reaction, and one of the best albums of the 90s.
Saw them when this album came out with descendent one of the best shows ever
Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that neither of you played Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1? Whaaaa?
I almost don’t want to award the Cell but I’m a good sport. Also I suppose I should blame your parents for not buying you Tony Hawk as a child. I’m going to donate my Brain Cell so you both get one for having a incomplete childhood.
GREAT song and album. I’ve still got my SM concert tee from high school (I’m 42). Other great songs from that album are Break the Glass and Hey.
Same age same tee same attitude I’m guessing. Love ya bud keep at it
Easily top 5 ska punk album
Brain cell to Chuck because Joel said he recently played through THPS yet he can't remember this song 🤦
Haha you are a 100% correct. But in my defense, it was the THPS 1 + 2 remaster that included both playlists mashed together + added more new music to the blend.
Growing up i played the hell outta THPS 2, and only played 1 a few times when we rented it or might have borrowed it from someone. Lol -Joel
I guess I missed him saying he recently played THPS. I think this song is definitely burned into my brain from playing too much THPS as a kid
This band, this album in particular, reminded me of a poppier Against All Authority.
great reaction bois. this is one their better songs. they've got a bunch that are bangers, and some that are meh. i think i might request a song from them next month. braincell to joel, because chuck admitted he took too long to get the "yell about it" bit. essentially, joel gets it by default.
I'm an old skate punk from back in the day and love this album! Another great band nobody reacts to is Mephiskapheles. They are a Satanic Ska band. It is more of a gimmick I think, but the music is fantastic. They have a bunch of great songs and play on the Devil stuff hard at times, but are really quite funny and unique. With songs like Doomsday, Eskamo, Saba and Satan Stole My Weed, they just put a huge smile on my face while I skank my litte heart out. I'd love to see what you guys think of this interesting take on the ska-punk sound. I really enjoy watching your reactions to these types of bands and I think you may appreciate the talent of this hidden gem. ✌️
Good band great song thank you bois
Can you please listen too and review Undeclinable Ambusacde - 7 Years.
