Good to hear someone else say this. I have been shooting with Sony ever since the a7r2 was released, and haven’t had any issues or complaints. I also own and shoot Nikon, Fujifilm and Canon and have learned how to tweak each individual brand to my liking, and I am not the best at grading.
Glad to hear you’re on the same page! Definitely agree. You can do whatever you need to tweak the images to make the colours pop always. It just always takes more effort to practice, but you can achieve it haha
I own the Fuji xt3, the Lumix s5 and the Sony A7iv. I live in South Africa on the coast at the most Southern tip of Africa and after 7:30 in the morning it's glaring sunlight up until 17:30. All of these cameras struggle which makes me wonder if perhaps something like the c70 would be a good option in regards to dynamic range. I'm considering selling the whole bunch and move over to the C70 for a while now. Any thoughts on this?
I personally have never used the c70 so I wouldn’t be able to speak on that to be honest. What did they struggle with? I’m not sure I follow exactly. Can they not keep up with the sun or the low light?
Somebody finally said something. That’s the most annoying thing about TH-camrs. Canon colors, color science blah blah when most of them never put out anything that hasn’t had a look attached to it. Just repeating what their favorite TH-camrs say. Ok, rant over. I’m sorry.
Haha rant welcomed! It’s why I wanted to make this video honestly. So many focus on things that genuinely can be fixed or don’t matter as much. Glad to have you here and your comment! 🧡

About every 6 months I get better at color grading… and immediately regret the last 6 months of crappy color grading decisions I made 😂
I know that feeling 😂 I’ll go back and check something on an old video and I’ll think, what was I thinking?! 😂

do you use natural light when you are filming outside? I cant tell. Your colour grading game is solid !
Yup! All natural light haha so didn’t add anything while filming this.
Thank you!
