I'll be very curious to see what they do about publication dates. I didn't add Fear the Flames or Spark of the Everflame to my predictions list because I wasn't sure if they would be eligible. But I agree with you on the top 5 for sure! I think The Familiar will be nominated (and will probably win) in the fantasy category.
Honestly agreed with CC3 being at the top! But also- how beautiful are these book covers? Romantasy is knocking it out the park! And nope to the Familiar! (sadly, but so happy it worked for others!!)
I’m sure plenty of these will be nominees. However I don’t think the SJM one will win. Tons of negative reviews on that book. Also from my understanding of The Familiar, it’s a historical fantasy which means it wouldn’t qualify. I plan on reading it this month in November for Historathon. But I would love to see A Fate Inked in Blood or Heartless Hunter to win. Those are both great books.
If they don't have a paranormal category, then Bride won't have a perfect category fit regardless. Romance genre is typically realistic(ish) fiction and, while not fitting the exact idea of fantasy romance, it is still apart of the larger fantasy umbrella (paranormal being a sub genre of fantasy).
I think Phantasma, When the Moon Hatched, The Familiar, Quicksilver, A Fate Inked in Blood, and House of Flame and Shadows will be nominated. I didn’t like The Familiar.
Loved Quicksliver and I hope it win, Phantasma was a bad one for me, very boring in every aspect, story, character, banter ... felt very YA but the lower kind, the crescent city I liked but don´t think it should win. the familiar was written beautfully but the story and esp the lovestory was left me uninterested, I gave it a 3-star. Most of the other ones are on my TBR ;-)
You only have 19 books in your top 20 🫣 did you cut one last minute? I think the last Zodiac Academy book will definitely be nominated, I don’t get it but people go crazy for that series
Ugh am I the only one who feels like there's not enough hours in a day to read everything I want?!?
Thanks for continuing to promote indie authors!
I absolutely loved reading Heartless Hunter!!! Can't wait until her sequel.
I am surprised Spark of the Everflame is not on your list. I am also hoping Lady of Darkness is nominated as well!❤
Glad you're loving Quicksilver! I'd also love to see Spark of the Everflame on the Goodreads list. Excited to see how it plays out!
Bride was such an overhyped book, imo. I gave that a 3.5. Loved Quicksilver❤
I loved the Spellshop as cozy Fantasy! Phantasma was a five star for me!
The Familiar was a 4 star read for me but I do enjoy Leigh Bardugo's writing immensely and like reading historical fiction. 🤓

Loved this!
I think Iron Flame is going to win, top two are going to be that and Cc3
Blood of Hercules and Quicksilver for sure
Quicksilver will get my vote
Yep, I think SJM will win. But I will admit that I did like the book but I also haven’t read a lot you mentioned.

How does it feel? was good but what did you do? was honestly not good at all unfortunately. Like so bad I won’t even read the 3rd. I was bummed

I second this!❤
I think the familiar will be I the fantasy category, but there are a lot of books that could go in either
When the moon hatched was my top romantacy book of this year so far!
Had to DNF how does it feel. I thought the writing was so bad
I think iron flame is gonna win, not that it should be in first place however popular choice i bet iron flame
@@kyliehoward6180 I don’t think it’s eligible since it released in 2023
@HonestFiction 👀 man it's been a long year 🤣 i thought it released this year
What’s number 20? 😂
Quicksilver the badly written book with an abusive love interest... Hmm, sounds like SJM

Also Apprentice to the villain will knock out something from your top 5
